  1. I agree, none at all. TrackIR is awesome, it brings a whole new level of experience to the sim! Enjoy :)
  2. I often read Cracked I think its pretty funny and kills time when I am on the road. When I saw this article I thought it might be of interest to a few people off the forum here. Some pretty amazing situations! http://www.cracked.com/article_19212_the-6-most-badass-airline-pilots-to-ever-stare-down-death.html?wa_user1=1&wa_user2=Weird+World&wa_user3=article&wa_user4=feature_module
  3. Gotta chime in and say that if your CPU is in the 90's its not going to last very long at all. 90's is *INSANE* shoot for low 70's under full load or you'll be CPU shopping before you know it :)
  4. Love it! :)
  5. Frostiken: Its very likely just your settings. First switch to camera view so you can see the reflection of your clip. You want them basically in the center, make sure "Video Processing Mode" is set to Precision (not to be confused with the F10 precision mode setting). Next watch your dots on screen as you move your head all around. If you notice ANY red that is bad and will make it do odd things. So you must make sure that the green spots are bright and don't flicker red (or worse yet disappear). If you notice any other spots in the background (thats bad) then you need to adjust (under camera setting) "light filter threshold" as well as IR brightness. If you are seeing other spots in the camera view turning up the threshold should help. If the reflection isn't very bright cranking up the brightness will help as well. Most of the time its the settings that need to be adjusted. This also may include changing the angle of your camera so you can achieve the movement you want without the reflections turning red/flickering and/or disappearing, which causes things to go wonky. You may also need to slightly adjust your sensitivity. Once you have bright solid reflections that don't turn red or flicker you should be good to go :)
  6. True, I must have 40 some games on my steam account. Almost every one of them is $50-$60. And probably 90% or more I played less than 1 hour because they sucked. DSCW is worth 3x what they charged I think.
  7. Hope this helps! :) hdr.rar
  8. Its inside the sim itself in the menu. You can find it under controls. Select axis controls. Then select whichever one you want to edit, such as rudders then click 'axis tune' and it will open up the page so you can adjust it.
  9. Bit of a deadzone (10 or so) and a ton of curve (like 75-85) should help. I had the 3dpro for a couple of days but I couldn't get it to where I liked it so I got an x52 and was happy right away with it.
  10. I had same issue with mine it was because i made the mistake of plugging in my x52 before I had run the driver install problem. So the drivers and SST would install but wouldn't work correctly at all and drove me nuts. Even though I could change some settings and it appeared to kind of work, it wouldn't load profiles even if I made a simple one with 1 key and saved it (that would work) but try and load it and fail! Try following theses steps. And do *NOT* skip any or it will fail: 1. Unplug your x52 from the computer, and do not plug in again. 2. Uninstall the drivers. 3. Uninstall the SST programming software. 4. Delete the Saitek folders from the following paths : C:\Program Files C:\Windows\Temp 5. Delete ALL Saitek registry entries (here's how): Press and hold the Windows key on your keyboard and then press the letter R. This will open the Run box. Type regedit and then click ok. The Registry Editor will have a list of folders on the left hand side. Go down into the following folders in order by clicking the + next to the folder name. +HKEY_CURRENT_USER +System +CurrentControlSet +Control +Media Properties +Private Properties +Direct Input Delete any folder inside the Direct Input folder that begins VID_06A3. 6. Reboot 7.Install the latest drivers 8. ONLY plug in the x52 AFTER you run the driver install program and it asks you to plug it in. If you plug it in first, it will not work and you'll have to redo everything. This should fix your x52 problem hopefully. If not its a great start towards fixing it! Mine just wouldn't work properly at all until I did this. I'd also suggest skipping the SST software completely its just a pain in the ass. However, it should work fine hopefully after this. Best of luck! :)
  11. http://media.naturalpoint.com/software/TrackIR_5.1.3.Final.exe Enjoy! Its amazing :)
  12. Make sure your throttles are at zero. Sometimes it happens to me and I just push my throttle full then to zero and then engines will start.
  13. I've got 5770's and seems to be working just fine
  14. You gotta let your Nav system finish aligning before you can turn on the EAC. Look for T=4.0 0.8 and above INS NAV READY is flashing. Takes approx 4 minutes if you don't move :)
  15. I agree! Welcome! :)
  16. Excellent! I have a link to the steam buy page on my steam account as well as my xfire account. I constantly bombard everyone on my lists with youtube videos of the hog in action as well :)
  17. If I keep on looking at posts like this I'm gonna end up reallllllly wanting to build a pit! Great job looks amazing! :)
  18. + 1 I've spent countless hours doing cold starts, flying around in every area and type of weather. I just love it and can't wait for the next in the series! I've barely even figured out the weapon systems yet! :)
  19. Was it ever working? What are your system specs? And when you say its not working, you mean it flat out doesn't work at all or does it sort of work but not very well?
  20. • TrackIR 5 cameras with serial 155662+ require software version 5.1+ or 4.1.038+ • TrackClip PRO requires 4.1.029 + • For 64-bit games use: 5.1.3 + or 4.1.038 beta 3+ • For 64-bit Windows use: 5.0 + or 4.1.027 + • Note: If problems are encountered when using Windows XP with ATI video cards, try version 4.1.038 instead.
  21. Great idea! :)
  22. AF is set automatically to 16x by default in the sim although there is no indication of it in the GUI, its been confirmed a couple of times in various posts. Always set AA in the GUI.
  23. I didn't bother to look for one with sound, actually when I youtube I rarely have the sound on because 99.9995% of the videos have horrific music. :)
