  1. Thanks :) Well, I was going to write a more detailed reason for me beeing so quiet on the movie front the past year, but lets just say things have been really hectic for me for a number of reasons. But now that this movie is out of the way, and im going to upgrade my pc and do a reformat of my pc, you can expect movies from me similiar to "Edge" and "Project 10" again in the near future.
  2. True, I asked if there should be some text within the video, but this was not needed, so.. :)
  3. By all means, we all have our opinions. :D Personally, im not happy with the promo (production-wise). Never rushed so badly to get a movie out of the way before. Let's just pretend "Project 18" will follow a different path :megalol: ;)
  4. ED gave me a list of stuff to include, and i follow it. The contents of the video was not my decision, only how to show it, given the extremely short schedule. :) And following the "Speed" concept would mean only (or mostly) showing dogfighting, and Flaming Cliffs is more than just that.
  5. No, I used Fraps for everything. Just did the normal routine, slowed the game down by 50%, recorded, and increased the speed of the footage back to normal speed during editing.
  6. Of course, that movie is great, and he's a very good movie producer. :) Which is expected after 250 hours of work. This promo represents somewhere around 25 hours of work.
  7. Actually, that bit where you see the A-10C, Black Shark, CA and the Huey, is just to indicate that it's part of the DCS world, and that they share the same "universe". Either way, what I showed in the video is what ED wanted me to include. :)
  8. Hey guys. Here's the Flaming Cliffs 3 promo i made, and though its quite far away from the epic movie I was hoping to make, it's a decent promo video, that hopefully gets the job done. I'd say its on par with my Combined Arms promo in terms of "quality". I literally made it from scratch in around 25 hours, spread across 4 days in total. It was sort of a rush-job, and I didnt even have time to add in sound effects, since I finished the movie at around 4-4:30 AM last night, before I had to upload it to ED. If there's any interest, I can re-upload the movie later and add sound effects. :) Big thanks to Binary Orchestra once again for the music!
  9. I'm extremely sad to read this.... :( You will be missed Jim. We've had our share of talks through e-mails throughout the years. RIP Jim Mackonochie..
  10. Looks like you put a lot of effort into pretty much every scene in there, nice job! No doubt this is your biggest movie yet, and it shows. You editing skills has evolved as well. Impressive work :)
  11. "02:30 to 02:55" For this shot, im assuming there is a third plane, acting as the "camera man", simply moving forward slowly. And the camera is probably the normal F2 view, "unlocked" with ALT-F2 to look the other direction (towards the A-10's), and then zoomed in. This is basically the trick for many possible camera angles, to attach the camera to some other unit which is moving. Just have to plan it out in most cases, while in other cases you just end up getting a lucky shot. :)
  12. Nice shots slam. Looks sort of like a dream-sequence of some sort, though I'm guessing it's not. ;)
  13. Nicely done! :)
  14. I do it quite alot actually... Seems to work for me. :) And nice job on the vid. I was actually going to use that music for Superior Fighters 2, originally. :D But i'm using a piece from Binary Orchestra instead. :)
  15. Looking good Slam. Quite a stylish look. :)
  16. Happy bday! :)
  17. Looks good! You're like Hans Zimmer wih a photographer's eye. :D :P
  18. Thanks again guys. Next video is in the shop. :)
  19. Thanks guys! :D
