  1. That is correct, no post-effects was added. :) Still WIP though.
  2. Happy bday! :)
  3. Just keep at it, as long as you like what you're doing, you're not going to fail. :)
  4. Ah, man that's and oldie. I'd rather take "Edge" as a better example, where pretty much every single clip changes with the pace of the music. On the topic of this thread, I have to agree with some others here, the intro does drag out a bit. When editing, sometimes think outside the box, so to speak - "what may be exciting to you, may not be exciting for others". May sound a little blunt, but somewhat true. Have a goal with the video itself. This is especially true when making a trailer for something. Is it to excite people? Do you want to evoke emotions? Is it just for fun (which is always good :P ) Is it story based? Will the viewer understand the "message"? Etc.. :) We all have to start somewhere, and you definitety have the foundation in place. Now just build upon that. :)
  5. It's all WIP at the moment, but im hoping we will have some control over it. :)
  6. Placed my order in as well. ;)
  7. This guy makes some good music. :)
  8. Nice job! :)
  9. Great choice of music. :)
  10. Just to put an end to any speculation, the above picture posted from my facebook page is not in-sim. Just a real photo, with some fancy color corrections. Funny how so many thought it was from the sim. :P When I post a screen from DCS: F-18C, whenever that may be, you will know about it. ;) But now, back on topic! :)
  11. You missed the KA-50 cockpit shot? :)
  12. Hehe good point, actually many game-trailers have this small text. :P Thanks for the comments all. :)
  13. Well, if you're curious, when im making videos like this, it goes pretty much like this; They tell me what to include in the video, more or less. And I have to figure out how to make it look somewhat exciting, and make it all fit within a 30 second video, including logos and credits. So showing even 3 button presses within the cockpit would take up way too much time :D
  14. Matt can probably give a 100% certain answer to this one, but it is planned to my knowledge (for the 30 sec version to be aired on Tv, not the youtube version).
  15. Hey guys! This doesn't happen often, does it? :P Well, a while ago (around October 2013) I worked with Eagle Dynamics to make a tv commercial video for DCS World/Flaming Cliffs 3. I made 2 videos, each 30 seconds long. The Flaming Cliffs 3 version was for the Russian market, while the DCS World version was for the US market. This video contains all footage used in both videos. I had to wait a while before going public with this video, but here it is. :) Eagle Dynamics obtained permission to use music by "Two Steps From Hell" - "Invincible". Enjoy, however short this one is. :D PS: The 30 seconds "DCS World" video will air on The Military Channel in march (quoted by Matt).
  16. Thanks, I'll remember that :D  Btw, the video was completed some time ago, mainly waiting for approval to release it. Shouldn't be too long now. :)
  17. That's the normal F3 view, as in, the camera is locked to the plane. The camera "movement" is edited in.
  18. I believe you have to have the missile/bomb in-view when you hit the "lock on ordnance" key, otherwize it wont work.
  19. Try using the "Del" key on the numpad on your keyboard. This worked for me.
  20. Since I am the one who made that shot, I can explain: First, I used "Freecam" view, using F11, and placing the camera somewhere far away from my plane. Then i hit CTRL-F3, and the view will snap to your plane, and start tracking you (just the same as hitting F3, flyby view). Then I slowed time down some, and recorded. When i saw the mav beeing launched, I paused the sim, hit CTRL-F11 to go back to freecam mode, then hitting the "follow ordnance" key, or whatever it's called. This way the camera will track bombs, missiles, etc.. Then i resumed the recording. And during editing, the 2 shots were alligned perfectly to make the transition seamless. A similar shot was made in this scene:
  21. I have no idea what you are talking about. :D
  22. And it truly is ;)
