  1. Indeed, excellent job. Though i'm more excited about another masterpiece, Kyle... ;) :D
  2. Btw, one thing i didn't include in the video, is the ability to command units around from the drivers seat, kind of like how you order your squad mates around in the game "Brothers in Arms". You click the appropriate button, and an icon appears on the screen, and you can tell them to move to an area just by placing the icon somewhere on the terrain. :) And thanks for the comments on the video. Next promo isn't that far away. ;)
  3. Well, there are more stuff coming in the future that will most likely floor you below ground level then  :D
  4. The explosion at 4:04 is kind of what we have now in the sim, just seriously beefed up :P
  5. Hehe, big projects like this deserves to be promoted. ;)
  6. When the time comes, let me know if you want a trailer of some sort for the new terrain. :)
  7. Just an example, Steven Spielberg is a man who has frequently showed long and uncut scenes in many of his films (Saving Private Ryan pops to mind). It's not the length of a clip that makes it good or bad. It's the context within those seconds/minutes that counts. IMO ofc... :) Making movies is quite dynamic. It will always change, depending on the video, the setting, the pace, the story, the intention behind it, etc.
  8. Congrats! :D
  9. Happy bday! ;)
  10. Actually, you can get angles like that, you just have to edit some .lua file (can't remember which one), and make the cockpit "restrictions" more open. I remember when I was making Project 10, the angle where the you see the GAU-8 firing for the first time, that was actually a normal cockpit view, but i moved the "head" outside the cockpit and forward towards the nose of the plane. It was also possible to create some sort of "getting into the A-10" shot. :)
  11. From a production viewpoint, you had some very nice scenes in there, and I liked the overall color and the whole "Look" of the movie. Nice job.
  12. Didn't notice this thread until just now (yeah over a month late :P ) ... but do not worry, a promo is indeed planned, plus some other stuff. You'll find out soon enough ;)
  13. You know you're going to have to edit that post when I edit my sig right? ;) Anyway, back on topic. Making a promo for a World war 2 era aircraft will be interesting! I'll see what I can cook up. :)
  14. Haha :D Who said the P51 promo was Next? ;) Maybe it is. Maybe it isnt?
  15. Not to derail the thread in any way (how could I? :D ) ..but flying the P51 is a blast. It's alot more fun than i imagined it would be. :) A promo is also in the works. :)
  16. Haha, well I better go hide then ;)
  17. Video was nice too of course. :) You actually made the game/sim shine in that video.
  18. Impressive looking water.. :)
  19. I'd always want higher frame rates, with mediocre graphics, than choppy fps with good looking graphics. It's all about the flow, so to speak. It's distracting when the frame rate drops. :)
  20. If your pc isnt quite "top notch" I strongly suggest you turn OFF sound recording with fraps! :) That's a huge fps drag right there, though you may not be aware of it. If you can, add sounds during editing. If not, no big deal, sound effects aren't really "needed" for that type of movies anyway. It's more like a preference thing i guess.
  21. Ah i see. I've been where you are, if you look at my other rather old movies, frame rates arent exactly over-the-top. I take it you record at half speed? :) And if you cant use AA, maybe try at higher res? Don't mind the name, it isnt identical, it just struck me at first glance, thats all :)
