    Oculus Rift DK2

As always, happy to negotiate price for DCS users - Ebay cost is based on previous sales (provided by ebay) and what I paid. don't want to make too much of a loss - would never hear the end of it ;) I am, ahem, under a degree of pressure to sell so make an offer!

  3. 2x Gainward GTX 480 graphics cards: £50 ONBO each Plus P&P + postage + paypal fees
  4. Hell no.. I'm moving out to the country.... working for a company that does air shows, based on an air field.... so expect more pit building goodness when I get settled. :)
  5. Hi All, I'm in the process of moving house; so time for a bit of a clear out. I have the following items I'm looking to sell: 2x Lilliput 669GL touch screen monitors. One un opened, one used for 20 minutes before being re-boxed. £100 each (ONBO) + shipping. 1x HUD Combiner glass. Suspect this is from a Blackburn Buccaneer, but cant be 100%. £50 (ONBO) + shipping. 1x A-10A UFC £30 (ONBO) + shipping. 1x Suncom Talon. I've never used this so cant vouch that it works. Would be a good project to re-work into a USB device. £50 (ONBO) + shipping. 1x Suncom Raptor. Again, never used by myself. £20 (ONBO) + shipping. 4x RPM gauges. These were taken from an RAF Nimrod simulator so are not real aircraft parts. DC motor driven so simple® to interface. £25 each (ONBO) + shipping 1x Landing gear light switch - Original part 60's vintage (I suspect). £ 30 (ONBO) + shipping. 1x VVI. Taken from the same Nimrod simulator as the RPM gauges. £40 (ONBO) + Shipping 1x Mach Meter. Taken from a Luftwaffe F-104 (I believe). Original Part £60 (ONBO) + Shipping (i'm not 100% I want to part with this, so will see what the interest looks like) 1x My prototype A10 C Glare shield. Layered MDF construction with Balsa shell. £ meh, whatever + shipping. All prices are guide only, based on what I paid for the kit - so am happy to negotiate. Cheers Jim
  6. I popped a bunch of travel sickness pills before hand... Just to be on the safe side. But if you've ever experienced my wife's driving, you build up a resistance to motion sickness pretty quick :)
  7. Ok... That was ****** epic!!! Amazing experience and the pilots were the nicest, most down to earth guys you could imagine. Think I'll give up pit building and put my money toward flying lessons. (apologies for my ugly mug in the pics, we weren't allowed to take a camera in the plane so no forward facing shots :( )
  8. What everyone here has said. Outstanding Job, great commitment to the DCS community and an absolutely stand out (and rare!) company for honouring the backers. THANK YOU!! Edit: Just fired it up for the second time and had a good 2 hour flight. All I can say is:
  9. The biggest hub I could find is this: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Manhattan-161718-Mondo-Hub/dp/B0074024XU/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1406540054&sr=8-1&keywords=mondohub And I only have 3 ports left!
  10. Received mine and it's a fantastic product that makes a huge difference. The feel and control is so much of an improvement on the stock stick that I'm amazed thrustmaster haven't released something similar or included it with the core product. For the first time ever I managed air refuelling - and that's been months of frustration for me.
  11. Agreed. lets let the auction come to a close (without bidding each other up :) ) and see if anyone else is interested. we'll then ship to the most logical recipient at that point and distribute from there, hopefully saving us all $$££ in the long run.
  12. am already bidding on this. happy to split 4 ways at cost plus shipping should i end up winning the auction, any takers?
  13. Top man! That's a fantastic initiative that I think will be an immense benefit to all.
  14. It was a custom FC2 map with a slalom course. Essentially the f15 with an L39 skin. Really simple, forward back, left right up and down. No trim, single throttle and no pedals etc, designed for the lunchtime crowd to have a go. Was a good laugh, the tech guys at the stand were a great bunch and really helpful. They gave me some really good insights into how they set things up, materials, costs etc (poor guys, I'm pretty sure they were glad when I finally buggered off!) It did however, make me want to concentrate on the visuals a lot more rather than switches and panels.... hmmm, need to buy a projector!
  15. Holy **** I won!!!! :surprise: I get to go in a Breitling jet!!
  16. Seems Breitling are running a competition over the next 2 days to win a flight to Paris (apparently in a Breitling jet, but I may have misheard that bit as I was in heavy nerd out mode :pilotfly:). It'll be in St Pauls (London) for the next 2 days if anyone is in the area. Think I'll give my team and myself the day off :)
  17. Hey Glider. Good to have you back!
  18. I'd be interested. Am working on a couple of designs at the moment that may need a cleaner cut than I can do on mu cnc.
  19. I've been getting mine painted (will put more detail in my thread later), but am super happy with the quality of the handles (and soooo glad I didnt miss the production run!). Anyway, progress so far: Am going to wait for the pedestal plans until I mount them though, my crappy plywood shell somehow doesn't seem to do them justice..
  20. Looks great! Good job. When will you be making panels to sell? ;) Congrats on getting hitched, wait a couple of years when the kids start to arrive... then you'll know about struggling for time :)
  21. Putting it together was really easy! I did it in an afternoon. I think if you had Lego as a kid then it'll be a walk in the park. The one thing I'd suggest is going through the shipping manifest thoroughly and laying out the components so they are easily identifiable and reachable.
  22. Mine arrived a couple of weeks ago and its an awesome bit of kit. This is my first time with a CNC so I haven't really progressed much past the "hello world" stage, and aside from destroying a few pens (thankfully I didn't use the cutter for testing!) I haven't really made much. I'm following this guy (https://www.youtube.com/user/krayvis) as he's documenting his setup and his first learning steps so its a good resource and answers a lot of the newbie questions. I also found these guys: http://www.makerslideeurope.com/ who offer UK sourced components if you ever want to expand the bed size. Good luck and I'd be glad to hear how you get on / swap any tips as I'm 100% new to this.
  23. LOL - so so true!
  24. wow! amazing work! I notice you removed the Simmeters RWR, I haven't even plugged mine in yet so don't know how well they work. Any reason you swapped your back out and should I bother with mine?
  25. My work on this has stalled due to gremlins in the system :joystick: Hope to resume soon as was so close to getting it going
