  1. Well that's the thing, there's no description.lua for those units. I've just gone through the 1950 description.lua files in the DCS root folder and it's as if these units did not exist. I've already tried a dozen of different name, using the edm livery extractor tool as a guide, no luck. I give up. I've spent more time looking for these freakin name than I would have spent texturing them. Complete nonsense. but thanks anyway.

  8. Yup. Please, add an unindentify(-able) flying object to DCS. Doesn't have to be anything fancy, hell, even a big flying orb would do the job. Just to allow a -very- different kind of gameplay. Yes, I know, there's an UFO mod available. What better way to shatter the element of surprise than to have "required mod: VSN UFO" when sharing a mission... And yes, I know what the S in DCS stands for. :ufo:
  9. You can't, it's part of the skin. If it's a usemade one you can always ask for the photoshop/gimp file to the author and edit the appropriate layer
  10. And, hum, you sure you're looking for it in the right place? It's less than 1km away from Qeshm island airport. If the map is fully zoomed out it may be confused with the blue bulleye
  11. I assume you have all the required mods installed? Do they work on their own? Can you place Ranger's 79 objects or Upuaut's tent in the ME ? I'm gonna test asap EDIT: I've tested both and they work here. Just in case I've repacked them and attached to this post StaticTemplate.zip

  17. A pdf?! That's strange indeed, I hope this isn't the one about my last holidays in a naturist camp...lots of selfies... :D More seriously, do you have 7zip or Winzip ? Any software to open a compressed file? You need to create the land_rover_109_s3 folder if it isn't there. The United Nations folder contain a description.lua (to "talk" to the game) and 3 texture files (.dds)

As pointed out by Rudel chw, I made a mistake with the Oilfield template, placing all of them under Iran while they belong to the UAE, so I've added a second template rectifying this and I've also added a third one using upuaut's Helipads mod to add some diversity (using his redsands, seafort and oil rig object) I also added an UN refugee camp template, see first post.

Hi guys, I'm trying to create a couple of new skins for the russian infantry and the insurgent guy (soldier_ru_00 and soldier_INS_00) but I can't find it in the livery folder (Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta\Bazar\Liveries) where it should be. Which means I can't use the livery system, pretty annoying. Just to be clear, I have located the texture files themselves but I need to know the exact name of the livery folder in order to use the livery system and not overwrite the default texture.
