Well no secret from my above comment I was a 109 fan hehe, but 1 of our fav online maps we used to play here was a P-51 vs FW190 only map (can't remember the exact model). They were quite different (realisitic who cares) but it was epic online dogfighting. -

I'm not really bothered as to which is better worse in whatever scenario. Just stoked to be getting something different, and glad its from the axis side of the fence to at some spice to the pot. -
Sure does, what feels even better, after many many hours of IL2 so long ago, is being in a prop plane in a dogfight again. Bloody marvelous!

:joystick: Victory!!! :pilotfly: AI Noob, took him out over the sea, slippery little cretan, but got a few rounds on him, a few turns later feet wet he flew himself into the drink to escape the embarresment of being shot down by the Vlerk HAHAHA

I set the trim reset button to the hotas. Really don't stress I am properly fresh with this plane and just in the last 2 hours have gone from not being able to fly, to flying but cooking the engine, to managing the engine/flaps during combat ok and dogfighting with the SOB for 5 minutes or so, to ripping my own wings off with what i can only imagine are over G's, cause I have my Mk1 eyeballs on him and he aint got a shot. :)

Awesome info, thanks so much

Joker, having the same trouble myself controlling this, but Konrad's 'trim neutral advice' made a lot of difference. After many years of IL2 series, its still been a really long time since I have been in a plane with a fan in front, and its great. Now I just need to stop cooking the engine. Baby steps, but early days yet for me in the P-51, but going to enjoy everyone i reckon. edit: no more engine cooking for now. LOL, Lange good to see your sense of humor is still properly intact after all these years  Well if anyone is looking for one I am willing to sell mine for a super awesome price as I don't use it anymore.

My buddy/wingman/partner in crime (Col.Flanders) hosted the mission so not 100% sure but almost certain its this one. http://files.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/99420/ The clip only about 40% of the actual mission. Really neat and the low cloud base over the mountainous terrain makes it interesting for sure.

Just a little clip, 2 ship CAS mission, Col.Flanders and I pretty rusty.

Have you tried to contact CubPilot? Cubby used to do the hal sensor kit for IJ, and IJ supplied the gimbels. If they are still available I'm sure Cubby would know. Heres his site, and I see the mods are still listed there. http://cubpilotshangar.net/ I have a U2Nxt +Hal sensor Cougar gathering dust that I must sell, but Im across the pond from you :(

Infrared guided missiles and the countermeasures
Vlerkies replied to Manuel's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
Although not advised, the turn in approach does work (occasionally). Say your prayers though just in case. Heres a clip, around 1.50 a sam9 fires close. He fires another shortly after the first miss and a third when I am practically on top of him. Third one clipped as I was way to low, slow and close. -

Grif, in case you are unaware, when you plug the drive in set to AHCI mode in the bios. Then instal op sys etc. Google 'ssd AHCI mode' for details. -
Great flying, always entertaining

I have a Sandisk 240gb and I have been very happy with it (my first ssd). I run win7 64 off it with dcs, photo and video editing software etc etc and its blitzy. Its a great drive, I am just about to buy another one. Been using it for about 6 months so far. I have a lot of faith in Sandisk as a brand from my photography experience so trust their products and service. maybe a bit biased because of it :P -
No fps improvement as the other said, but running an operating system and or you sim off a ssd is worth it imho. Boot and load times are blitzy!

Thanks for that, been toying with the idea of a nice set of Seinnheiser 650's for my entertainment needs, but could not find a good mike combo for it. This looks like a winner.
