  2. Ok gents. I've got an issue that's had me baffled. Hope someone can provide some feedback. I've been using SRS fro a very long time, but had never tackled presets until recently. Issue 1. A10C. VHF AM. I set dial to "Pre" with radio on, and SRS never shows in the overlay the "C". So essentially, the mode switch isnt actually working.(Might not be and SRS issue, but thought I would drop it here to see if someone else is getting it.) Issue 2. I have opened the .TXT files for both the VHF AM and UHF radios for the A10C in SRS and edited them. Issue 1 above prevents me from testing VHF AM, however, the UHF radio actually SHOWS that I am on "Preset", but it doesn't read the .txt file within SRS for the UHF. So its still reading the internal freqs set God knows where in DCS. So how do I get DCS/SRS to make nice and actually read the .txt files for channels in the SRS folder? Issue 3. Which is more like a clue I'm tossing out in hopes that it leads to a resolution. When I open the overlay on the desktop as opposed to the Shift+ctrl+ESC, I can select to CH tab of each radio, but the dropdown doesn't work and the RELOAD button is grayed out. If I've miss something in the forums, I humbly apologize for the repeat, but I've scoured the thread pretty heavily before posting. I am hoping that its something REAL dumb and simple that I am missing. Markeebo Found my answer.
  3. Thanks for this outstanding script Alerax. It really adds depth and control to the environment. Question/clarification for the pros here: The notes in post #1 say up to 2 flights supported. And I've gathered from tinkering and this thread that each flight is maxed at 2 ships. The math works.our to 4 a/c max in the stack. However, I saw one post here that mentioned 6 aircraft present and another that mentioned up to 15. Does the 4 A/C limit still apply here and that any extra will need to remain clear or stack above controlled stack until they trap? Or Does the script handle more than the 4 and I simply misunderstood the post? Or 4 flights of 2 are perfectly acceptable? Just need a little clarification.   5. Question popped into my head last night while flying the Hornet over PG campaign. I lost 2 airframes from the inventory of 4. One downed. One damaged.   6. I have had a rift since early DK2 days. Then CV1. I bought the Oddessy last spring and put the rift in a box and forgot about it. I recently set it up on another computer after 6 straight months of oddessy use. I WAS surprised at the noticable difference in visuals. I really didn't initially notice it too much. The fit IS different, but I found it to be quite comfortable after you mentally adjust. If you haven't had a rift, it'll be easier since you have no point of reference. Two recommends. 1 Get a VR Cover replacement for the face cushion. It's way cooler and more comfortable. The Oddessy can get steamy. Since I did this, sweat issues have disappeared. 2 run some sort of memory cleaner/app killer like game booster. The added pixels come at the price of needing a larger data pipe. Even with 32gb and a 1080ti, I was getting terrible pauses. I was about to give it up and go back to rift when I ran game booster, updated to the latest oddessy drivers via device manager and the pauses virtually disappeared. YMMV, bit this was my experience.   7. I made a rough pass at this late last night. I changed the inventory to 12 and made it a 3 Client Campaign. The host(me) spawned on deck fine. The two clients were told that their mission was scheduled later. They exited the server while I remained and they rejoined and spawned on deck but as soon as I unpaused the mission, they blew up. I quickly edited our 4th aircraft out and restarted the mission and had them rejoin and it was fine. We flew the sortie and returned to find the deck fouled with a hornet that couldn't taxi off if the deck because of another, or a static aircraft was blocking the exit. I think I need to look at the tacview to see what happened on deck during the mission. So not a great result. The mission was at night and I didn't really look at it with a Keen eye to see what went right and what didn't. I think that it ultimately didn't work too well. When we got done and I accepted the mission results it took 17 sim days to generate a new package for me. I don't really think that was an effective use of the assets. I think the best way to run this with clients is to simply let the campaign generate as SP mission, then edit it to make clients out of whatever hornets are there. Maybe two. Maybe four. I already need to go in to force the AWACS and tankers to set freqs for comms so it's not much more work. @MBOT Thanks for the suggestion. The sortie rate makes sense. And thank you both for the hard work that you have put into this project. It breathes a life into an otherwise sterile environment. I'm looking forward to seeing your overhaul results.   8. Sounds about right, but does it keep your aircraft inventory visible or could you make it 12 and still spawn a 4-ship? On the deck? I guess I should just make the change and try it. Didn't want to reinvent the wheel if some Enterprising individual had already attempted it.   9. I flew my first F-18 over PG flight last night in MP. 2 Clients in a 2-ship. When we trapped back on the Stennis and exited, I accepted the results and it generated the next mission. The generation covered 4 sim days before it had "Enough" airframes to cover a 2-ship client setup again. The readme stated something to this effect somewhere, but I am wondering if I increased the quantity from the initial 4 in theater to, say 12 in the oob_air_init.lua, would this help with the DCE generating new missions for MP? Or....is it far more complicated than that and I should just crawl back under my rock? Markeebo

  11. I've been following this thread for months and I have seen many people having issues with the Steam loading screen popping up during flight. Has anyone come up with a definitive solution to this? I'm finally out of ideas and mods to try to get this to stop. My rig: W10 64bits I7-6700k OC4.8 32GB ram EVGA 1080ti All drives SSDs I've tried driver updates I've tried the shader mod I've set the settings to VR preset. Nothing has helped. I was pretty sure it was a pipeline somewhere in my rig that was bottlenecked, but after trying the gawdawful ugly VR preset with zero changes in the number of loading screen pauses, I'm convinced it's not my hardware. I'm about to give up on WMR and go back to a CV1. Any suggestions or pointers before I put my Odyssey up on eBay? I'm pretty sure its the memory manager that ED has implemented, but I've not seen them admit to or even acknowledge that is has created an issue. Suggestions would be most welcome since i really dont want to get rid of my Odyssey and step back to the CV1 resolution. Markeebo
  12. Whelp I tried with F16s as well. I've had decent luck in the past but a giant goose egg this time. Taking advice and setting triggers to blow up assets that shouldn't need to be. Frustrated, but ready to move on. I've spent entirely too much time trying to get assets to do what they were supposed to do. Thanks to all for the suggestions and insight.   14. Thanks for the response Mad dog. They ARE indeed AI hornets. They're TERRIBLE. HARMS have a 70+nm range and they're blindly stumbling in to within 30 miles of an emitting SA10 and won't fire. I've tried up into the mid 20s in alt and all it seems to do is enter the SAMs engagement envelopesooner. LOL I'll try some Vipers. I have 4 2-ships loaded to engage two SA10 sites geographically separated by about 25nm. Very frustrating. I tried a group of tornados and that was even worse. They wobbled around at an extreme AoA and then turned around and RTB, or flew into terrain even though they were set to fly in the mid 20s. REAL dumb. Home Tuesday. I'll check then. Markeebo
  15. I am currently putting a mission together and I'm having an issue with getting my SEAD flight to engage enemy air defenses anywhere near Rmax for the HARM or ALARM. If they shoot at all, they seem to wander to just under half of their max range and shoot. Oftentimes, this is within the SAM engagement envelope and they get shot down or go defensive before they shoot back. Of course, the entire mission package is barrelling along blindly behind SEAD shooters that they're expecting to do their assigned task. I've tried different airframes. I've tried getting them higher to coax a longer shot from them. Nothing has worked. I am using the "search then engage in zone" option.....not SEAD in ME. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. My next step is to set triggers to artificially blow up the assets that the SEAD flight should be engaging. Anybody have any consistent luck getting SEAD flight to do their job?   20. Thanks for the great info! I do, indeed see the tabs that you referred to. I think I'll be stuck with the TM button given that I'll be sticking with the stock 3 toggle PCB. I'm digging into a wiring gremlin that, if I can't chase down, I will be sending to TM to fix so I may just have them replace it when it's in for the other issue. I may be back here with more questions regarding the wiring once I get time to open up the Halls Sensor housing to look over the state of affairs in there.   21. My AP engage/Disengage buttons has died and I want to replace. I have removed the triple toggle PCB that it's attached to bit can't seem to figure out how the actual button is secured to the chassis.   22. Whelp. I thought I did, but apparently not. After sleeping on it and retracing my steps, I actually installed it this time. It all seems to be working, at first glance. (Note to self.   23. Ive been a rift user since DK2. I decided to give the Samsung a whirl and have been scratching my head since I installed it. WMR detected and installed quite fine. Followed a few links and installed Steam VR. Problem started then. I launched Steam VR and I get a window in WMR home screen that is my desktop. WHen I launch DCS, I just get a stationary window in WMR home screen. THis never tracks my head movement. and Steam VR says headset not detected. Any clues? Markeebo
