  1. The CAIMAN MRAP has now been incorporated into the SMAO Version 1.6 release ... enjoy! https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3321706/ null
  2. It is what it is ... link: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3329506/ The US Navy denies having anything to do with this decision or that they plan to respond by painting all their aircraft pink ... null
  3. A C-141C SOLL II bird would fit in nicely ... let the green lizard legacy live forever in DCS World!
  4. We now have a magnetic and true heading readout on the taskbar. Could we have a MSL/AGL altitude readout as well?
  5. nullLooks like they are freight sheds. Would still be nice to have the connecting road in any event. Call it improvised parking for surge operations.
  6. Any chance this could become a connected taxiway to two additional parking spots at RAF Akrotiri?
  7. USMC AH-1W Cobra Skin Pack for the DCS AI helo ... Just some stuff I rapidly threw together in the past few days ... Will post upload link here when approved: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3329105/
  8. You mean as it relates to this quote from the previously referenced article? "In fact, the F-15E community is now flying with an all-new combat configuration, based on a jet stripped of CFTs. The 492nd Fighter Squadron “Madhatters” at RAF Lakenheath began conducting deterrence operations at Łask Air Base, Poland, on November 29, 2022, as part of a scheduled aircraft rotation in support of the U.S. forward fighter presence along NATO’s eastern flank. In 2022, the squadron paved the way for the first-ever combat-credible no-CFT F-15E configuration. This is designed to increase the Strike Eagle’s air dominance capabilities by “enabling supercruise capability, maximizing offensive flow, and enhancing survivability within and beyond visual range with a full combat loadout,” according to USAFE."
  9. Lakenheath and the 48th Fighter Wing are not Foreign Military Sales (FMS) operators. Do your homework.
  10. That's disinformation - OBVIOUSLY. You can't possibly trust a former WSO over a beta tester. Notso gets the gun kill. LOL
  11. I guess you're calling Jamie Hunter a disinformation spreader? SMH The pros and cons of CFT usage are clearly stated in the article. As for Razbam's intentions, I suspect that will be up to them. I agree that reworking the 3D model and FM is probably not a priority at the moment. But DCS is a video game, so anything is possible if a developer wants to code it.
  12. Great idea Mapi! The 21st Century LED Director Lights by Cree ...
  13. There is a JSON file Joey. I'll play around with these values and see what impact they have. null
  14. Easy Buzz, nobody's casting doubts upon you. Merely clicked on the OPs link and saw the picture at the Thrustmaster Amazon Store which clearly shows a new TDC implementation. Good to see TM updating the product. Hopefully they improved the throttle PCB as well. Enjoy your new toy!
  15. Standalone image from Thrustmaster store does look like a new TDC switch implementation ...null
  16. Does Anybody Really Know What Time It Is? (Does anybody really care? They should, because that Historical Clock icon always knows what time it is! Apologies to Chicago ...) FYI - this was stated in the original PDF readme that was included with the download.
  17. Missions should go here: C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Missions Mod goes here: C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Mods\tech The SMAO Mod README PDF included with the mod spells this out clearly. You have to point the mission editor to the correct path if you are using a custom folder location. If you alter the data structure of the SMAO Mod it is not going to work ... Just tested mod against latest build of Version 2.8.X and all works as advertised. You must have The F-18 and Nevada terrain to run the demo missions ...
