  1. The slew control on actual aircraft controls is a pressure-sensitive sensor. Don't quote me, but I believe something like this would alone take the gaming HOTAS price into the thousands.
  2. This is one of the few remaining steps in the entire training module where a quick press/release of a button may not be registered by the trigger system. Holding the buttom down for a moment should move the mission along.
  3. Waypoint is just a generic term for any flight point. It could be a route (flight plan) point, a mark point, an achor point, etc. A steerpoint is the waypoint you have currently selected for navigation. For example, if you have a flight plan with 6 waypoints, you will probably set waypoint-1 (usually called MSN001) as your steerpoint at the start of the mission. As you approach waypoint-1, you will select waypoint-2 as your steerpoint, etc. Maybe it would help to think of a steerpoint as the "active" waypoint.
  4. Work is ongoing. Please just a bit more patience.
  5. dandebo, which version of the sim are you playing and could you be more specific about what problems and when you encountered? Also note, you can play through the missions rather quickly by simply accelerating time if you wish to get a point further in the mission.
  6. Supposedly the radar blocker designed for the PAK-FA (I won't vouch for anything): Super Hornet blocker(?) http://forum.keypublishing.com/showpost.php?p=1553949&postcount=20
  7. If you are referring to the official training missions included in the sim, subtitles are provided for all of the instructor voiceovers.
  8. Thanks darrenl. The issue was simply that the mission was looking for you to actually press the 'A' key to disable the AP, instead of pressing the AP button. I'll see if there is a better way to implement that step.
  9. The mission editor includes all of the necessary trigger functions to create cockpit highlights and monitor cockpit switch and indicator conditions (all of the trigger rules and actions starting with 'X'), however their practical use requires a lot of work with the LUA files external to the sim to identify switch names and arguments in the code. These functions are considered internal and are not documented in the manuals.
  10. Sorry, should have thought of that. You can do it by opening the mission through the mission editor.

    Thank you, everyone!
  12. darrenl, if possible, could you try to fly the mission again and send a track?
  13. That's a bug in the avionics, which has been corrected since. 130 is actually the correct heading.
  14. There is no direct method, but the easiest might be to hook your current position on the TAD. Similarly, you can move the TAD cursor from your current position to the bearing and range given by ATC, create a mark point at that location. Finally, if you try the landing training mission, you will notice the simple technique of using the CDI indication on the HSI.
  15. At least to eliminate this possibility, latest video drivers?
  16. To reset your controls mappings to default, go to your game directory/Config/Input folder. Inside you will see a folder for each controller. Inside each controller folder, you will find a default.lua file, along with one or more other files. Delete all files except the default.lua. Do this for each controller you want to default.
  17. It was a bug in the mission. You flew it correctly and that was the last step of that mission.
  18. I don't think you're using the updated training missions. Are you flying beta-4?
  19. It does seem like you are experiencing a controller mapping issue. Can you specificy in which missions the aircraft flies out of control?
  20. Yes and that fact is not just a nuisance, but the very heart of the technological problem. Also, besides the rendering distances around the player, consider the overall size of the map. We (flight sims in general) model territories the size of small countries. Shooters model islands.
