I ordered mine early this week and I hope it will make it's way over to Germany soon since my HOTAS arrived today ... :-)

Since some of us are used to the metric system I thought I would make up a little chart so it is easier to get used to the imperial units (in this case it's the altitude) - that way it is easier to "judge" your current altitude. Another option is the use of the CDU (see manual page 643). Hit the NAV-button, followed by DIVERT. Then press the LSK next to the airfield which frequency you want to know. Then you can see them in the CDU too ... :-)

Why would you call a card "outdated" that was only released a month ago? Update: Sorry, I was flying over the thread and read "outdated" but then saw you were talking about upgrading - ignore my post :-)

I currently own a i7 860 which is running at 150 Mhz BCLK (see my system in the signature). I can't go much higher due to my Mainboard which is not very OC-friendly. I was wondering how much improvement in performance I would get if I would upgrade to a 2500K or a 2600K. Has anyone done a similar upgrade?

I saw there is some stuff available if you own an I-Phone, I-Pad or an Android phone - is there anything available that covers Symbian?

On question regarding the IP of the attack. I have tried the "Shooting Gallery" mission and JTAC tells me that my IP for the first targets (Tanks) is called "Banks". After going through my mission waypoints I can't find a WP called "Banks" - am I doing something wrong?

I was trying to figure out the use and benefits of the CCIP consent options (OFF, 3/9, 5 MIL) while using using cluster bombs and regular unguided bombs. I also watched a video where CBUs where used with 5 MIL but did not quite get the message why it was done. When should I use what what's the difference between these options? Reading the manual things got a little bit better but I am still clueless ... :noexpression:

First of all go into the "Options" section of the game and check if the controls are mapped correct. Right ALT and Home will power up the left engine. Wait until it stabilizes and then use Right CTRL and Home to power up the right Engine.

I was just wondering - do you set your AA ingame or do you use the nVidia Control panel? I am still trying to figure out good settings.

Good question - I just checked my game and it also says 1.1.0 ingame but when I check the properties of the DCS.exe it says 1.1.0.6 (and I know I have installed the patch). Perhaps you need to reinstall it once? I just checked your track and it works. I have noticed that you never had you your laser on and therefore you were tracking a point next to the ship. Try to turn on the Laser (not Auto-Lase) before making a SPI and also make sure that the Laser is on while the bomb is falling.

Before making a SPI I also turn on the Laser to mark the correct range (don't know if it is necessary). which means: find target with TGP, turn on Laser (Latch on) and then I create a SPI. After that select the GBU and wait for the time to drop. I have attached a small track (starts with a Maverick kill) - don't know if it helps. gbu.trk

Does anyone have a special profile he uses for A10 - I am still using the default one (see screenshot) and was wondering on what I could improve.

Thanks for the reply. I was wondering about the need to create a flightplan. I knew how to set markpoins and also that I had to change to Mark-mode in order to flip through them (I did this for Mavericks). I saw it on a video where the guy made a flightplan - why would you do that then?

For some reason I can't manage to create a new flightplan from the markpoints I set during a target approach. Reading the manual didn't really help me either. Could someone share an easy step-by-step approach to this issue?

As a start I was looking for a tool that could monitor and log the current multiplier for the certain cores - does anyone know where I could find one like that?
