  8. I know it does not count like a plane but it's still aviation and I just love the shot - Basejumper Felix Baumgartner just before his test jump at 21.800 m ...
  9. Regarding the visibility I also found this: On the modern battlefield, an A-10 Thunderbolt 30-mm high-angle strafe attack probably provides the best opportunity for a fixed-wing attack pilot to visually identify a tactical target. The aircraft has a typical roll-in and engagement decision range occurring at approximately 9,600 feet. To put this in the perspective of what the pilot sees at this range, a T-72 tank appears smaller than the word "TRUST" viewed on a quarter held at arm's lengtharm's length. At best, this target may be recognizable as a vehicle and possibly armored, but the characteristics that determine friend from foe cannot be reliably distinguished visually, even at this short tactical rangeA range in which realistic targets are in use and a certain freedom of maneuver is allowed. At a 6,000-foot firing range, the T-72 is barely wider than the two milliradian aiming index of the A-10 sight (2.56 mils). Standoff weapon deliveries produce similar identification problems, even with the aid of aircraft sensors. A typical weapon's release slant range The line of sight distance between two points, not at the same level relative to a specific datum. For a medium-altitude PGM attack is 26,000 feet. Using an onboard targeting pod with 20-power magnification, a T-72 on a cockpit display would be approximately the size of George Washington's head, using the same arm's length quarter comparison. Although this equates to a larger apparent target size, the gains in magnification are offset by a loss in detail due to the display's resolution and environmental factors of the increased range.
  10. Die Sache mit den Zündern ist irgendwie "halbseidig" gelöst - zu den MK-82AIR gibt es u.a. diesen Thread: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=66937
  11. A lot of stuff ...
  12. Yes, I know but should the RWR show DE in this case?
  13. Good stuff I must say ... I just looked at the RWR threat chart and found a small error. SA-9 and SA-13 are IR-guided and therefore will not show up with a RWR symbol.
  14. Not quite -even Ironhand used the Zoom-function ... :music_whistling:
  15. Hm, could be. You could try to programm some commands using the Target software (to make sure it is broken or not). I would ask the person you bought it from regarding the receipt (and also the broken switch). I think TM has a 2 year warranty. You could also call their support (there is a free swedish phone number listed at their website) and ask about what to do.
  16. Yes, when you move your throttle stick the little cross (where it says X-axeln / Y-axeln) should be moving around. Button 22 might be one of the switches on the throttle (check the attached image) Perhaps you should try to uninstall the drivers once and reinstall them again. Also make sure, that you have the latest firmware installed (which I am sure you have). I don't know how my Warthog is "listed" in Windows - I can check later when I get home.
  17. Unfortunately I am sitting in front of a Windows Xp machine rivcht now but it should work like this: Control Panel> Hardware and Sound>Devices and Printers. Right click your device and click on game controller settings than click on properties. Did Windows install any drivers when you first plugged in your TM Warthog? Be sure to have the latest drivers installed ... http://ts.thrustmaster.com/eng/index.php?pg=view_files&gid=1&fid=3&pid=311&cid=1
  18. Just go into the regular Windows device panel. There you can check if all buttons and axes are working.

Relax - it took close to 3 weeks to get mine ... :)
  20. Normalerweise kommt ein Hinweis dass das Missionsziel erfüllt wurde - danach kannst du streng genommen mit ESC abbrechen aber wer macht das schon ... :-)
  21. The question is - will this ever be fixed? I had contacted the ED-support about this issue a few weeks ago and I was told that there was no solution for this problem and that I should ask my question in the forum. I was going to send them a track but never got around to that.
  22. Just did a quick test (once again) and all I can say is that unless you set it to use CONFIG LO the ballute is always deployed. I tried PLT OPT, OPT1 and OPT2 together with some fuse combos - no change. The damn balloon keeps popping out ... :-/ I won't be around my regular PC during the weekend but perhaps you could record a track regarding a slick deployment outside of the CONFIG LO setting ... :-)
