Does the visibility range setting impact aircraft render range? Does this setting impact aircraft spotting distance?

You don't need anywhere near a 1200 watt power supply. If you want it for the look though, I get it. I have that same power supply. I'm not a fan of the Thermaltake software. It's buggy. I always get a high temp error message but it's just a software bug. As far as RAM, I would get 2x 16GB sticks so you have room to expand.

Yeah, I have a 2080ti and my VRAM is maxed out in VR. That's why I was curious. I see in regular games it's only a 3fps difference. I was hoping it would help since the card prices should drop once the Ampere cards come out.

Has anyone posted a review of the NVIDIA Titan RTX for DCS? I want to see how 24GB of VRAM performs in DCS. Specifically for DCS in VR. I know someone will try one eventually.

It's kind of frustrating listening to the engine during the cockpit overview mission. They have so many of these training missions with unnecessary noise distractions. It's training.

Agreed. They need to delete the engine start tutorial. I hadn't flown the K4 for a long time. I needed a refresher but the tutorial doesn't even have you give power to the battery. These types of errors make it very hard for new people to get into this. They need to put more emphasis on these type tutorials since it's hard to access manuals in VR.

I have a Pimax 5k+ and Razer Nari Ultimate Headphones with Vive base stations. Both stations are shown as active in Steam VR. The head tracking jumps all over when I use the headset. Can the LEDs in the headset be throwing off the base stations? Anyone else have this problem with a headset?

Clean function? When I click to clean, do I have to specifically click on the files for it to do anything? It lists all my installed liveries so I have been clicking keep. What files should I be cleaning? Thanks

I was trying it out because of the Sweviver fps video. It didn't work for me. My OBS isn't working if I just use 5teamVR. I was trying to get some benchmarks recorded.

My afterburner doesn't kick in on the Tomcat until about halfway between the detent and max throttle.

I don't know. How do you tell? Mine doesn't say anything about v#'s. It only says serial number 320. The detent on mine feels pretty good though. It is sturdy and no signs of wear. I've had it at least a year. It needed to be set up again because I bought the VFX and it needed a newer software to work.

I am trying to get the throttle detent to match military power but I ended up with a -85 curve. This makes it too unresponsive with low throttle. Any tips on how to do this properly?

How do I open the game with the Pitool alone? I have closed Steam and SteamVR but it opens up Steam VR when I try to start with Pitool.

IMO, they should include the bracket with every base and charge accordingly to avoid not having this mounting option. Adding $10 for the bracket at these prices isn't a deal-breaker.

Anyone willing to share their VFX grip and mongoos throttle controller profile for the Tomcat and Huey?

Note: The VPC MongoosT-50CM2 Base requires mounting and is not suitable for desktop use. Mounting must be done with the included u-bracket to ensure safe operation. I previously ordered the throttle which comes with holes to screw down. It didn't occur to me that the stick base wouldn't have similar holes to floor mount. Ordering the base plate with my order would be no big deal but now it's going to cost $50 with the shipping. I guess it's my fault for misunderstanding the warning.

I would guess all of them. I have only used the NVG's with a large FOV in the F-14 and F-16 though.

What DCS pixel density setting are you using for your Pimax? I usually use 60 but the nose seems too large and if I bump it up, the scale of the world seems too small.

When toggling the NVG' s, only the left and right periphery are night vision enhanced on the Pimax set to large FOV. The center is not effected and stays dark.
