  1. I don't get it. It worked yesterday but today ... Create new way point, switch to L/L, input the GG329668 L/L coordinate, name the waypoint TGTJ1, switch to mission on AAP. Select TGTJ1 waypoint and TGP is looking some 800+ miles away from where it should. WTH. What am I doing wrong or what am I missing? I swear it worked yesterday! PS: Got red cross on TAD now that I was paying attention.
  2. LOL
  3. Is the heading and distance, that JTAC provides, related to JTAC or bulls-eye? So if I'm out of JTAC desired ordnance I just use another and keep doing it despite *abort abort abort*?
  4. So IP: BANKS would represent a waypoint named banks? or what?:helpsmilie: Than 0 + 60 would mean that you are available one hour for him or what?
  5. I watched some youtube vids and searched the forums for JTAC related info. I was flying a SP mission called Shooting Gallery in which you train for JTAC operations. 1. Tune in to his frequency 2. Contact him 3. Check in + 60 (what exactly does + number mean?) 4. He gets your status (weapons and stuff) 5. You get his info (9 line is pretty clear) 6. Ask for remarks 5/6A. Flip over to Mission plan, create new WP named TGTJ1 enter the coordinates in to CDU, select the TGTJ1 WP and China hat aft long, zap thanks are there. 7. Confirm / read back 8. Select IP (what does IP mean?) 9. He clears you 10. You roll in Oke so I was tasked to do the job with AGM-65D. Check Three tanks, two AGM's 65D. Naturally I went for the remaining tank with AGM-65H. Needles to say .. I got an *abort abort*. What would be the correct procedure when you run out of requested ordnance? Another question regarding JTAC scenario. You get a new message thingie on MFCD .. oke view it with coolie hat UP long or just switch to MSG page on MFCD. Reset WCN with TMS left short. I'm not exactly sure that I got any red *cake* on TAD, but I admit, I wasn't paying much attention to TAD as i had TGP and MAV pages on MFCD's. I feel kinda lame asking this questions  And thanks for all your answers! PS: I think JTAC and some in-depth CDU is all that I'm missing now. After that I'm filling to give MP a shot :D
  6. Both is "acceptable". Asking questions and flying when drunk. Sometimes it slows things down ... flying when drunk that is :P Geeeeee that is a nice SAM smoke. *BANG* Where the hell is my countermeasures! Oh wait .. all there is left is the cockpit
  7. LOL, nice story
  8. Or the other way around ... china hat aft short: Boresight maverick Boresight TGP Boresight AIM9 / cage Center TAD cursor Center TDC on HUD to a FPI (TVV)
  9. Start up EGI - (do everything else while it's aligning) - When it hits 4.0.0.8 (INS ready flashes) press - Nav (RLSK3) on CDU align page - select EGI on NMSP - flick two switches on EAC panel to on ... you are now ready to go-go :D
  10. Maybe, if possible, you can look after the PCI card that had USB ports on it.
  11. This made me laugh for days! Still does!
  12. This. I was there as well but I took it slow, tho in the back of my mind I wanted to get down to business. All I can say is, go trough entire training missions more than once. Do the landing, free flight, low level flight, fly high 20+ ... till you get comfortable with how she handles. So when you say okay, I'll fly here and there and land her ... it will be like another day in the office. Then dig in to HOTAS and systems :D It's so rewarding!:pilotfly:
  13. Updated link: http://www.hawgtouch.com/HT15GP13.zip
  14. Tho I will say this. Watching SEAD jets do the magic ... makes me feel sorry for the guys below us. Carnage :D
  15. Just flew few different SP missions. Operating with your wingman, SEAD, AWACS, CAP, giving a GO to helos ... WOW ...
  16. I forgot to mention that all I had was GAU8 :P So in short I get the feeling that I will be toast in GAU8 scenario :P
  17. Yesterday I was playing the Ammo Depot SP mission (you have to destroy two ammo depots and there is one ZEUS and SA8 next to it) well those two are dead before they know it. But there is also a SA15 and tunguska in the valley. The SA15 was kinda nagging me the whole time so this time I decided to go hunt it. There I was flying low all the time and just jumped on it over ridge and used boresight gun indicator. Killed it with a short burst . RWR was no longer spiking so I circled around to confirm a kill. Yap he is dead. NOW! Here is the question, how to deal with tunguska? Jumping on it over the ridge seemed fine for the moment and even one missile that was fired, missed me, but second after that, he ripped me with cannons :P Would it even be doable from low alt or should I really just stick high? I know I know, SEAD is there to do this job, but it was one of those "lets see what happens / lets see what can be done by one self" fun moments :)
  18. See. It's not that hard. Thing with game mode is that you will be learning twice. Once for game mode and once for sim :D I must admit that sim mode sounded kinda scary at first. After biting in to it well ... I just love it today.
  19. If you are getting BSOD, maybe you can disable reboot on BSOD. That way you can get some more info. Then there is a program named Blue Screen View and it is free. We use it here at work. Link: http://download.cnet.com/BlueScreenView/3000-2094_4-10965136.html All you have to do is feed it the .dmp file after you got bsod.
  20. Dodged one .. And another .. Some *ciggy break* cca 10 mins without ML warning going off .. Dodged third .. *gut feeling* telling you that the fourth one will get you .. time to GTFO MMCB in that case, was golden :D
  21. Long version: Mainly all of that above, besides being upside down. I was under SAM fire, up high, my CCRP window closing freaking fast. I needed terrain cover for SAM evasion and at same time I just wanted to destroy that last target without over shooting it. Short version: I just wanted to get the job done and GTFO :D
  22. A few days ago I was doing some GBU 12 bombing. While DSMS profile was programmed for CCRP my jet was in a weird situation at the moment and since it is a laser guided bomb I quickly decided to do a CCIP release. MMCB was useful in this case.
  23. Actually there is great logic to the buttons on HOTAS. I have no problem using it. It takes practice, very little at that. There is no - little brain storming / muscling required. China aft long is to command TGP look (and only that) to your currently selected STEER POINT. China forward long is to command everything (TAD, MAV, TGP, TDC) to *look* at what your CURRENT SPI. And remember that TMS forward long will command *make SPI* When lost what your SPI is, take a look at HUD. At same time should you require to dig in to short commands, just group them in your mind. China aft short is in other words ... center / boresight what ever your current SOI is. China forward short will manipulate the SOI. In Mav and TGP it will change wide/naro view. Uncage AIM9, change EXP in TAD and when HUD is SOI it will switch to MAV as SOI. TMS again, there is logic to it which makes it all so easy.
  24. Hey CD, was kinda busy and will be till Monday (getting married this Saturday) and will be looking in to HT forums then. I see you got yer self 22" AOC :P How do you like it?
  25. That tornado (not sure but looks like??) flyby over runway is just OMG. The third one was rooftop level. DAMN. Tho the F16 is just crazy ... you hear it .... WOSH see it for the second ... and its gone.
