Might sound direct, cruel, etc but damn it's the truth! You are bound to overlook something (or not fully utilize) when you over-focus on single point. Tho applies to fighter jets but they say .. Tho I haven't progressed in to campaigns yet, but I did play some single player missions and I read the briefing carefully and thoroughly. I even made notes of my assets (JTAC, Tankers, SEAD, /others/ frequency and a mental note of what and WHEN can they help me). Make notes (mental or otherwise) on: threats - what they are and what they mean for your and your mission progression (their envelopes, if you can by some way eliminate it, or just get around it) way points - are they 100% safe, if you stick to them you are OK, what happens if you deviate, fly low and high, in short - theater objective - follow the way points, establish the orbit, find targets, identify, rely on / call in your assets. Objective is always to achieve the mission goals, !but!, you can't do that when you are dead. Which leads to (starts off): Sometimes I catch my self doing things in A-10 fast and it does not yield a good results. When ever *I catch my self* trying to do things fast, I always pull my self back and stand off immediately. But sometimes it's just too late. I did notice, when you take things slow it's way better. Which would lead to: LOLLINK GGTharos is wise!

What causes a miss with inertial and laser guided munitions?
Nu-NRG replied to Conure's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
For JDAM's - is TGP object a SPI? And are you doing laser ranging? E.G. activating laser prior to making a SPI? Lase 10 seconds after pickle or did you mean lase 10 seconds before impact. The first one could be bad and cause misses on LGB. -
Important change to startup with 1.1.0.9 please read!

Along with EGI problems :P LOL -

Okey. One would figure that when it gets an L symbol on the RWR to be painted by a ground vehicle and not seconds away from beeing hit by laser guided bomb. :megalol:
-
Does that mean that BS players will be able to fly along A-10C players online?
-
Zombies, run :D But to be on topic of mavericks, I learned most about it from TYGER's youtube channel + manual next to watching then off to trial and error and back to watching aforementioned youtube channel with a manual next to me.

When you drive in to turn to fast and you start to make AoA index sounds. Stall here we come! -

It's the one, that will introduce you to comms with wingman, flight and two JTAC's with minimum stress levels :D Read about 9line along with this mission and feel free to experiment with giving orders to wingman.

My observation was it increases SA, but when close it just clutters my screen and I don't like it

you have all been very helpful, however...

When you press Print Screen button it saves a screenshot in to USER folder and NOT in to game folder. On windows 7 it's in C:\users\<username>\Saved Games\DCS A-10\Screen Shots. At the end of the mission you have an option to save the track. It offers you the path to save so basically you can save it anywhere on the hard drive. Another nifty thing about track playback is that you can take control of the aircraft at any time. -

Nu-NRG replied to leroy1964's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
Track please or screenshot at least. But trying to be helpful anyway: left of right drag of pitch panels would be caused by wind, rudders or uneven payload. The ADI should match the pitch ladders when EGI is aligned and OK and selected on NMSP. It should be still when on autopilot. The thing you un-caged is called SAI - Standby Attitude Indicator. It's job is, to provide you with orientation when HUD and ADI dies out on you (eg power loss) The A-10C has three radios. AM, UHF and FM. Make sure you are using the right one, that it is powered up, and tuned in to the correct frequency. But as it was said many times, track helps best. Oh and BTW, there is no quick and dirty in this sim. Dig in to manual :D -
And a TGP image along with range / altitude image is a sweet touch!

I think sparkle is when he marks the target. What snake is, i don't know. But i can give you a first shot at it. One is the laser code, and second is, place the TGP in to search mode. < Assumption
