  1. Many thanks to you all! The joystick controls were set, but to the throttle control (I should have looked better). I corrected this and now everything works fine. Thanks again! Off to fly!
  2. The controls in the P-51D Mustang work fine, so I cannot imagine what is wrong with the control configuration. But if you have any suggestions... I cannot remember to have had any joystick problems like this before.
  3. My Thrustmaster HOTAS gives no aileron and elevator movements when I move it, and the stick itself does not move. The Thrustmaster Pendular Rudder pedals seem to work all right. I tried the stick with the DCS: P-51D Mustang and it worked all right. To make sure that I did not forget anything I selected a flight when the Strike Eagle was already in the air, but the problem persisted. Also with Fast Mission the stick does not move. Does anyone have a solution?
  4. Thank you all for your help! I contacted customer support and now the problem is solved. I have ordered the F-15E and will order the new Normandy map when it is released. I am happy again!
  5. Thanks for the quick answer, Silverdevil! I can fly in DCS all right; there does not seem to be a problem there (although I had to match my password with that of the website but that gave no problem). It is just with the website, even after I had flown in DCS with the new password. I previously ordered several times from the website and this is the first time I encounter problems.
  6. I am trying to pre-purchase the F-15 (I purchased many modules succesfully) but my password is not accepted. I changed my password several times, the last time making sure that I had not used the password any time before, but I cannot enter the shop. What should I do?
  7. There is a new (2022, Tempest Books) book on the Me-262 by Dan Sharp: Messerschmitt Me-262; Development & Politics) about the development of Me-262 prototypes, in which are included summeries of postwar reports on the 262, including pilots' assessments. Not all new, but very interesting to read how the 262 was assessed right after the war. On YouTube, you can find some video material about the Project 262 Me-262.
  8. Thank you, Draconus! That was the solution. I had not looked at the clouds because I had not expected rain to be there. I promise to myself (and to you) to pay more attention next time, but I am afraid that it will not help.
  9. I have this problem now with the Marianas map in the Mission Editor. I can't find the tab 'precipitation' (where it should be according to the instructional YouTube video) .So I cannot generate rain in missions. I did nit think of checking it in other maps, so it may or may not be a problem there.
  10. I cannot find the Mirage F-1 in the shop to buy! I know I am dumb, but I never had this problem before. Can someone help me out?
  11. I only fly offline, so I do not know whether it would happen online. What do you mean with a track?
  12. I have the same problem, but have found no solution as yet. On very rare occasions the airbrake does extend, which makes this problem even stranger.
  13. Hello Hawkeye, Thank you for providing us with these nice planes! The Stuka works perfectly. The Ju-88 was available only once when I wanted to make a mission with the Mission Editor, and now the Editor apparently cannot find it anymore. However, the mission still works fine when started directly, so not via the Mission Editor. The He-111 shows up in the Mission Editor, but is nowhere to be found when flying the mission. I did not try out the other planes yet. I have version 2.5, which I know you haven’t tested. But do you have an idea what could be the problem with the planes not working properly? Thanks, Stickshaker
  14. I agree, Lostcat. I made a point of it in the DCS 2.5 bug thread this afternoon.
  15. When approaching the Stennis carrier on the Persian Gulf map, it seems that the Stennis’ lights can only be turned on during dusk and night. But during rainy day conditions it is too dark (at least for me) to safely land on a carrier without deck lights. It would seem to me that the possibility to turn lights on should depend more on the actual weather and sunlight conditions, and on whether you are landing on an airfield versus a carrier, than on the time of day.
  16. Tune the radio to the Stennis frequency (127.500) (I don’t know whether this is needed with Easy communications enabled). Then contact the Stennis by first pressing the transmit button (ralt \), then F5 (ATC), then F1 (Stennis), then F1 (inbound) and then F1 (landing clearance). If it I dark enough (see the post above) the lights should switch on. I ask landing clearance when on finals, so as to be sure to be close enough to the carrier, but I do not know whether that is relevant.
  17. Dear Muehlema, Thank you for your quick reaction. Unfortunately, even after asking permission to land, the carrier lights do not show up…
  18. I have a problem with the Stennis lights as well. I made a simple mission with rain during daylight and even when following all the steps in Chuck’s manual (with radio frequencies and ATC) I did not manage to get the Stennis’ deck lights on (and it is way too dark to land without them). When I press Inbound nothing happens, except that the ATC menu gives me the opportunity to request landing on an airfield. So even when I contact the Stennis I get an answer from an airfield. Something that strikes me as strange: when I press Enter after inserting the Stennis frequency (127500) the notification ‘FM’ on the UFC disappears while the frequency remains displayed. Does anyone else have this problem? Do I have to make some adjustments in the mission builder to get the lights to work? Best regards, Stickshaker
  19. I hope that this has not been posted before… When flying in the rain with the canopy open I see raindrops as if the canopy is still closed. Not a serious problem, but still I hope it will be cured.
  20. Thank you so much, Chuck! So useful for a smooth sart with the plane!
  21. Thanks,Bignewy, very useful. I have the proper version after all, so my updater is working. Best regards, Stickshaker
