DCS 1.2.7 Open Beta - Preliminary Changelog
Dudester22 replied to Mike Busutil's topic in DCS World 1.x (read only)
I might be wrong, but I thought an open beta meant that it is out and is been tested. A bit like a closed beta is closed to certain people. -
DCS 1.2.7 Open Beta - Preliminary Changelog

What's it mean by open beta patch when it's not even out? -
Just broke my track lip pro. Need comfort
Dudester22 replied to bojangles_25's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Why anyone buys this rubbish is beyond me. For one it's nowhere near as solid as the cao clip and for two it doesn't work aswell as the cap clip. Also, you don't have to have the cap clip attached to a cap, I just stuck mine on the top of my head set and it has worked fine there for years. -
Buy yourself Orbx and Rex they are a must for FSX.

Does an SSD make this Sim run smoother?
Dudester22 replied to Dudester22's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
I saw a post you made somewhere else. Something about someone buying a Kingston SSD and he was experiencing stutters. So, what SSD do you recommend? I wouldn't want to encounter what he did so kingston is of my list for a start. Thanks for the replies. -
I currently own a Raptor 10000 HD, but anything that makes this game run smoother is a must for me. So, I'm just wonder if a SSD helps to make the game smoother? I know it allows you to boot to windows quicker ect. But does it actually make game play smoother? If it does what SSD would you recommend because I hear that some SSD cause stutter?

I'll throw the question out, but I bet I don't get an answer. What has he used to get his graphics looking like that and with no tree popup? FSX looks nothing like that and adding that jet alone won't change the environment around it. So what graphics is he using? Please tell me, from the ground upwards to the sky above including clouds? I might consider looking at it then?

Anyway to stop the aircraft's wings ect, blocking the TGP?
Dudester22 replied to Dudester22's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
Thanks for the advice. -
That picture looks real.

I don't use mirrors in this Sim because I just don't see what they are good for. Also, don't they degrade performance quite a bit?
-
Can anyone tell me if there's anyway to stop the TGP from getting blocked by the aircrafts wings ect? I can see all of the target with TGP when flying straight to it, but as soon as I pass the target or do something else, then the wings of the aircraft or other parts of it block the TGP. I just don't seem to have any idea how to get the target in view again. I just end up flying out far again and then I come back straight onto the target. Can someone tell me if this what you are suppose to do or is there something else I should know? Thanks!

Rock on Ronny. Whoops, I'm a year to late. Happy 41st Birthday.
-
I think like me what he wants is a video showing you how to set it up and not just already set up. But I have asked for this before and nobody seems to come up with anything.
-
I don't either and it's been explained twice. Couldn't you just have done something like a raffle and picked a number out of a hat :noexpression: Whats this suppose to mean? I sort of know it's two Turtle Doves getting out of the way of a Hawk, but why?

When is the next patch out? When is the next patch out? I have been holding of backing up my computer until it's out? -
You talk about i5, but what i5 are you talking about? I can then look to see what it overclocks to? I'm not saying they are bad, it's just I'm thinking overclock here.
-
Because this game use the Cpu more then the Gpu. I ran the game with good FPS with an average card and a good Cpu for months. Also, the 17 930 is as cheap as chips second hand and the i7 920 is even cheaper.
-
Not true you can easily over clock that Cpu to 4.0Ghz. Also, just turn hyperthreading of in the Bios settings if you don't want it on. I have mine off because it's crap for gaming. No affect on DCS on or off though.
-
I would buy an i7 920 or i7 930 Cpu. You could pick one of those up cheap enough and they can easily be overclocked to 4.0 Ghz. I have had mine overclocked for 3 years without ever having a freeze or crash. Of course it will have to fit your motherboard, but it's the cheapest option and by far the best.

China hat question I'm stuck on something.
Dudester22 replied to Dudester22's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
Okay, I will play around with it tomorrow and see what results I get. My main thing though is getting the target box back to it's original position whilst in TGP SOI. I will press China Hat back short and see what Happens. Thanks! -
China hat question I'm stuck on something.
Dudester22 replied to Dudester22's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
Yeah, Sorry I meant TMS short. I am using the TM Hotas Warhog control and it doesn't seem to respond like you saying though. When I am in HUD mode and push the China Hat forwards long, it goes back to it's original place after slewing around in the HUD. Also, should all the commands you have listed work regardless if you are in HUD mode or in TGP SOI mode? -
I am getting real stuck while using the china Hat, so hope someone here can help. When I am in HUD mode, I slew around and select a SPI to get a point of interest. I can then cancel the SPI by pressing TMS long back and can then place the the little target box back to where it was in the HUD by pushing China Hat long forwards. That's all fine and I think I am doing that bit right, but it's when I am in TGP that I am getting confused. I set the TGP to SOI, I then slew around in the TGP and select a target of interest, but when I no longer am interested in that area of interest I'm a bit stuck what to do. By that I mean, I use TMS long back to unselect the SPI, but how do I get the little target to go back to it's position like it does when I am in HUD mode? Do I have to go back into HUD mode to get it back to it's original position, or is there a way to send the target box back to it's original position whilst still in TGP? I hope I have explained things ok here and someone can see what I am getting at. Thanks!
