I play alone and am learning about the A10C, it would be good actually fly with someone like you guys, but how do you sort out comms and what server ect? I'm a bit fed up of flying and learning on my own.

Do I have to say anymore? this gets it about right to prove it can be done.

With all the colours you can pick from in Photoshop, to the point where you can click on any colour from any picture in Photoshop, and then add it as a colour to your paint pallet. Why is then that an every flight sim I come across the grass and terrain never seem to look the right colours? The grass always the main culprit and seems to look a totally different green to real grass. Why is this? Or am I just colour blind or something?

So this Sim used to work in Multiplayer and now it doesn't? I wasn't aware of all these disconnects because it was my first look at Multiplayer, but if this the case then that sucks big time. I am not a single player type of person and always prefer Multiplayer. I only played this single player until I learnt something before moving on to Multiplayer. My guess now is that after all this time they are not going to fix these issues. So, is it time to move on or do you reckon they can fix something that wasn't broken in the first place?

Well I know it's not the most complicated Sim out there, but I have been playing Cliffs of Dover since it has been Modded by Team Fusion. One server has 80 - 100 players with no lagg and it makes for some good arial combat. I never thought I would install COD again, but it's been brought back to life since it's been modded.

After practicing offline how to fly the A10C, I then decided to have a look at multiplayer tonight. However, I was surprised to see that the rooms are mainly empty apart from a few players scattered about here and there. So my question is simple really. "Where is everyone?" Is there another way to connect to some servers or is this it? Seems so many people talk about the game in these forums, but I don't see many playing it online.

Lets hope so, I have stopped playing DCS until this map is released. I couldn't get used to seeing all the submerged building and that, I like my sims to look the part and I just found it very off putting. I love the game though and will be back to learn some more when this map is available.

You don't really need a keyboard if you are using a Hotus and Vac system.

What did you use to get ROF working on the Rift? I have ROF and would love to try it out on the Rift.

We'll for me it is Half life 2, that makes me feel really sick. The demos have been ok apart from one or two. Roller coaster is fine for me and I put that down to the fact that I am in something rather then walking around. Running about is when it gets me and especially with fast paced games like Half Life 2. I think flight sims are great for the Rift because been in a cockpit doesn't seem to cause the sickness. I have never had headache, but people who do suffer, it's probably because of eye strain been close to a screen. However, you have to remember they have already changed the screen and are doing lots of things that will hopefully reduce all the bad affects. I for one will defiantly be getting the consumer version because it's just like you are there right in the game. Playing horror games is scary stuff and I'm not easily scared. I'm dreading the day in a horror when I look round and something is right in my face behind me lol. Might be I just have bowl trouble from then on.

I have used it for 3 weeks and I still get sick pretty quickly and I am someone who has never had any form of motion sickness.

I hope Oculus can sort out the simulator sickness because anything outside of a cock pit makes me feel really sick. I'm getting that I feel sick just thinking about putting the rift on if it's not a cockpit game. I just watched a video someone put up for Metro last light on the rift and boy do I regret it. I only had the rift on for a few minutes to watch it and now I feel really sick. This is driving me nuts because I thought you were supposed to get used to it after a week or so of using it.

What aircraft are we going to see next? I am not to keen on flying Helicopters, so I wanted to know besides helicopters what aircraft will we see soon? I don't want to have to look through all the threads on the 3rd party modules because I never seem to locate the actual release dates. So anyone know what we will see soon?

Where about do I set the IPD for Half Life 2 and how? Also, in reply to the others about sickness. I really thought people where exaggerating it, but boy was I wrong after playing Half Life 2. I am not somebody who normally suffers from any form of sickness, but I turn green playing Half Life 2 and just rush to the toilet. I really wanted to play this game and hope this IPD thing can work if someone tells me how to do it. Thanks!!

You have just taken me to the beginning of this thread and to be honest I don't want to look at 75 pages to try and find what I am looking for. I have seen a Youtube video of someone playing DCS with the Oculus Rift and just wanted to know how he was doing it.

The only thing I hate about the rift right now is the resolution and the puke factor. I have tried to play Half life 2, a number of times now and after about 15 mins I seriously want to be sick. Does anyone know if this gets any better the more you play because I cannot stand feeling sick each time I play.

Is it possible to play this with Oculus Rift? Is there anyways to play this game with the Oculus Rift at present, including any 3rd party support?

Does this require me to install from scratch again when using this torrent? Because if it does it's a pain in the butt to keep doing it this way. But if it doesn't require me to install from scratch then how do I install it using this torrent. Thanks!!

Why is it every time this game is updated do I run into so many problems? I pressed update when I started the game and it seemed to take forever to update so I cancelled it. Now all I get when I try to start the game is a message saying waiting for DB lock. They really need to sort these updates out because they are terrible. What on this earth is waiting for DB lock anyone?

I haven't read all this thread, but I am wondering if anyone has got the Oculus Rift to work with the DCS? If they have can you tell me how? Thanks!!

I think people need to try the Rift before they commentate on it. I mean, you cannot give your opinion on a football match unless you have seen it can you? I own a Rift, so I am better placed to give an opinion. All I can say is if this game doesn't support the Rift by the time the consumer version is out, then it will lose a big portion of players. Given the fact others are making filght sims with Rift support I know where my money will be going. At the moment the resolution isn't that good on the Rift, but because of immersion people are still choosing to play games with it over a better resolution. It has since had another new build with a better resolution and as screens get better so will the Rift.

You have obviously read nothing about the Oculus rift before making that comment. I read that it is relatively easy to add support to games like this. There are also drivers that do it for other games so it wouldn't necessary mean ED doing anything. You might change your mind if you actually owned a Rift.

This game needs Oculus Rift support fast. Given that X-Plane, FSX and War Thunder have all been given some form of Oculus Rift support, I would have thought this sim would have been looking to offer the same thing. To be honest, I'm quite shocked that they are not looking to implement it as quickly as possible given that it takes flight sims to a whole new dimension. I own a Oculus Rift and I can tell you it offers a completely new experience. The only mistake they made with the Rift so far was releasing a Dev kit with a crappy screen resolution. The new build has a HD screen and a much better resolution and I feel a bit let down they didn't offer this in the Dev kit I got.

I want to install DCS World and all my modules to another computer but I'm not sure how to do this. Do I have to deactivate all my modules on the computer they are installed on at present and how would I do that? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!!
