  1. No survivors by the sounds of it, as for the experts god knows.
  2. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-28354856 Not substantiated but there are rumours it was a BUK missile, on the other hand all the sources seem to be repeating information from interfax so I don't know how reliable it is.
  3. There was another thread about this recently, search for "rearward firing missiles" IIRC means If I Remember Correctly.
  4. F-15E is synchronized I think, in the book "Strike Eagle, Flying the F-15 in the gulf war" I think a navigator described thinking "I better put a mayday call out" but was up the rails before he had a chance as the other guy pulled the handles.
  5. Well, at least he had a shirt on this time...
  6. And finally you can relax Sith, going by the previous thread you've had a ridiculous day so I'd breathe a sigh of relief. Been most impressed by your patience. At the beginning of the day your avatar probably didn't have any blood, then the customer's arrived.
  7. Ok then, let's change my analogy. My mate promises something to someone for $10 which is incredibly unrealistic. He realises he can't make it and disappears but before he goes he gives me the money and tells me to make it happen. I'd tell him to go away (out of respect for Sith here I won't use my original words!). I'm now left with a pissed off customer demanding his product so I tell him I can't manage that. He then goes onto the internet and complains about me because he expects me to summon a magic wish fairy.
  8. It precisely compares, ED and RRG were mates, they were partners and RRG had been in the game for a while. I doubt that ED had to oversee everything they did. RRG promised something and couldn't deliver. Legally ED could have said "Shame on you suckers" and sodded off. As it happens they didn't.
  9. No, if my friend promises you something for $10 and once he gets the money he walks away then you are crazy to believe I'm legally obligated to give you whatever my mate was going to give you.
  10. Nvidia Geforce 310, I'm pretty certain that it doesn't support DX11. Probably my fault for using a shite graphics card really. :D
  11. I don't think that this is possible with DCS, I simply don't know if the commands exits. A repair truck might be feasible though, it would require changes I believe to allow a mobile point that can be used for repair.
  12. When you use all 10 activations you will have to wait 30 days for a new activation to be added. I think that is a subset of the box above, the add activation automatically box.
  13. Could I just chime in here for one second. Can the people who are saying "I don't want those filthy little kids coming on here" please dispense with the patronising, stereotypical and poorly thought out views. I first picked up Lock on when I was 7, I was crap but I enjoyed it. Then I moved onto the FS series for a bit and enjoyed them because I was soon dissatisfied, but they were too damn easy, I wanted a bit of a challenge. DCS Black Shark was my dream come true, a complex attack helicopter that might keep me interested for a bit, that Christmas I asked for two games, DCS BS and F4AF, both because they were advertised as "complex" and "as real as it gets". AF never worked properly but BS did so at the grand old age of 12 I started learning how to fly it properly, sure I skipped out on the cold start procedure for quite a long time and my flying was never perfect, I probably should have learnt more about the nav systems as well but hey, I learnt those things later. I then went online and flew on a few servers, nothing particularly hardcore but probably fairly average public servers, and you'll never guess what, I didn't go around team killing and typing "HA HA YOU NOOBZ ARE SHIIT" in chat, I didn't have rage attacks, I just played the game and I doubt anyone would have thought that I'm not an adult. Bringing me on to my main point. Age =/= maturity and intelligence, as proven on this very forum, there are plenty of whiners who are not kids. It would be unacceptable for me to stereotype black people, or Asians, or women on this forum and rightly so. Yet bashing anyone who is under the age of 18, go for it guys! So before you make your judgements, educate yourself. It's pathetic.
  14. A fine (if actually quite interesting) display of testiculation here gentlemen. (Waving your arms around and tallking bollocks. :D) On a more related note I genuinely don't see a mech being significantly more useful, less armour and less speed, and less fuel, and less weapons that are less accurate. To address a specific point one of the arguments was What makes a mech so special here, how is a mech going to switch weapons instantly, replace the arms, the entire torso? Doesn't sound like a few minutes.
  15. Well I was playing DCS when I was 12 years old so, perhaps don't be a [] to people just because of their age.
  16. Budget IR stealth, set a sh*t ton of fuel on fire and the thermals will white out every IR sensor in the galaxy. :D
  17. With my standard of handwriting, passing notes in lessons is more secure than anything on a computer.
  18. You don't need to have the controls selected to just fly, you only need to do that if you want to change the options.
  19. My copy of Sniper one has a picture that proves that incorrect. (Set in 2004.) The picture shows a sniper and spotter on a rooftop with a low wall, the sniper looks through loopholes cut into the wall, the spotter sticks a periscope over the edge. (In this picture.) Spotter's do use periscopes and why wouldn't you.
  20. The key commands changed recently. The training video must not have been updated.
  21. What's that sound I can hear? It's...It's like a whistling sound as the joke flies straight over sensitive people's heads. :D
  22. And from this we can deduce Flagrum does have a soul...it is a doughnut. And now to be vaguely on topic, I just don't quite get the excitement around the Sabre. It just seems a bit of a "meh" plane to me. So probably no, not first day buy.
  23. Guess I'm in the rare situation here of still having a shot at becoming a real pilot. I'm still in school but the plan has always been to join the RAF to become a pilot. I guess I'm blessed for not having any kind of physical deficiency, (well being short (I'm reminded about it daily) but I'm working on that.) If I do make it in it definitely won't be to fly fighters though. What I really want is to get into helicopter flying.
  24. Two reasons: 1: I actually am a teenager, some way older than twelve though. (though my mates accuse me of being twelve just because I'm short. :P) 2: I don't take anything seriously, literally nothing. When I see something like that...I feel this temptation...to take the p***. :D (Indicates a massive lack of self control, but hey, it's damn good fun.) Sorry if it annoyed you.
