  1. I think that list exist somewhere. In the Mirage-2000 thread there was a lot of talk about what would work and what would not. The manual also gives hints about missing stuff. I agree this data is quite scattered.
  2. Dude I can't agree more. I'm saddened when I read aggressive comments like some new posters that have no shame saying "Whaat, are they asking XX bucks for that! Laaaaame". Hopefully the devs will have their filters ON. Way to go guys!
  3. It seems the CCRP piper is not very accurate and also drifting, which makes an accurate dumb bomb delivery difficult - not really a surprise I might say given the A/C's primary mission. I guess Mk82 delivery should be limited to area effect (soft targets or buildings). For accurate bombing => GBU-12 and buddy lasing. A-G gun piper bug has been reported already. Good to know!
  4. The instant action has two types Mk82 loaded (regular on the back then retared), I can't fire the regular ones. Computer shows BF1 (Bombe Freinée I guess) but never BL1 (Bombe Lisse). Instant action should have a valid loadout...
  5. Thanks a bunch for this X-mas release!

Mmmm Harrier, I so agree with you guys, this aircraft is awesome.
  7. I can think of a workaround for regular buildings (that are already on the map) which is to put a static, enemy (or neutral if possible) unit (soft vehicle or infantry or even a small enemy building) beside or on top of the building of interest. When that target is destroyed, you can consider this building destroyed (via trigger). Maybe someone already tested that.

It's interesting how we can see two different type of opinions emerge, post after post. What's funny is both are soo right :) (A) Yes, the F-16 is super iconic and it would be super awesome to have it available in DCS. (B) But wait! There's a F/A-18C on the way, that is doing pretty much what a F-16C does (more or less), and there are plenty other aircraft that could use some love. I'm more a (B) guy at the moment but that could change in the future :D No need to answer (A) to that post, I know, I agree fully! It will come sooner or later I guess.
  9. Thanks for the heads up  I uninstalled the previous trackIR software, was 5.2 something (latest version as of 6 month ago) before installing the 5.3, my profiles worked fine... Note them down anyway, just in case...
  10. What do you want to achieve? If you want to record stuff, Tacview software is the way to go. As for the 3D model, I don't know. I don't think it will be a big deal to add it (it should be possible to do it by fiddling in the .lua files). http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=148716
  11. I think it's complexity is similar to the Ka-50's PVI-800's
  12. Hello, INS and GPI are only telling where the aircraft is. INS alone can drift over time. EGI is GPS+INS, it doesn't drift over time because the GPS position will be used to realign the INS part from time to time. The moving map is something unrelated, it's a display that takes a position as input that can come from any position provider, in the case of the A-10, that position provider is the EGI (edit: through CDU I think).
  13. 2 mice... :music_whistling:

What's Mudhen? Edit: F-15E, I leave that here, might be useful to those who are not intimate with it.
  15. That's really good material, thanks
  16. You're great man
  17. Agreed, chill out people, just enjoy the aircraft and learn flying it in the meantime. Also ask yourself, if IFF was here but not EFM, would you have whined? I'm pretty sure yes, taking IFF as granted and seeing only what's not here. You guys need to learn to adapt and not be that narrow minded. Oh and learn patience too.
  18. You'll need to enter the bull's eye as a waypoint:
  19. Diddly doddle doodely doh
  20. I guess nobody will be blamed for using the drag chute at every landing. However it will be most rewarding to learn doing a proper landing with aerobrake and all. I know I'll be using it because of my lousy skills :D
  21. Hyped as ultimate dog-fighter does not mean funny or a joy to fly (easy maybe). However F-16 has a clean canopy that is great for enjoying the scenery. And a reclined seat - but known for giving neck pain. Try flying a MiG-21, now this is funny, high AoA departures, crazy landings, in flight engine restarts... It's all in the perceptions - and taste ;) Thread has derailed a bit :music_whistling:
  22. There's an IFF button, no implemented yet in beta IIRC
  23. I always found displays (HUD, radar screens) to be rather cluttered too, when looking at them on static imagees (or not actually *using* them). However after knowing how to read them and more importantly, seeing them in dynamic situations, they appear much clearer because some of the display items are static, some other are moving with a waypoint, others are moving with the target. At this point the eye will naturally isolate a group of item moving with a point of interest (be it static, waypoint, target, hook, whatever) and make reading easier. In the end, it's usually more useful than confusing
  24. The cursor is here, it seem to be stuck at the bottom of the screen (watch 0:20 to 0:29). I wouldn't rely too much on this video, it's quite old ;)
  25. Maybe it's not even provided (?), the radar range is displayed on top of the display so it should be easy to get a good range estimate I think.
