HDR mod for 1.1.0.8
LostOblivion replied to Nate--IRL--'s topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
I think this mod gives me very blaze whiteish colours when I alt-tab back into the game running in fullscreen mode. -
Slack on TM HOTAS Warthog?
LostOblivion replied to LostOblivion's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
I was right above the threshold for sending mine in, nearly didn't, but I did and now I got one that has a little bit slack, but it always center to 0 when letting it go, unlike my previous stick which centered on everything in 1-2% in the center. There's slack now as well, but this kind of slack is just the good kind letting me "fight the sticktion" as Soviet states. There'll always develop some slack on anything that is mechanical like this. -
When I made this thread, it was with the pure UI in mind, in contrast to functionality. Making it look more similar to the singleplayer executable does not need a detailed list of what I'd like to see changed. It's only a matter of seeing where the MP application GUI differs from the SP application GUI and making them more similar. With this I mean simple stuff like aligning text properly inside their respective boxes, making generally better UI graphics like buttons and pop-down boxes arrows look like the singleplayer executable GUI; generally more raffined really--like the SP GUI is.

I'm all for good lookin's, and the multiplayer app UI does need a facelift! :)

It works! I haven't checked with my buddy yet, but seeing as it now says something other than TARS: Not running in TS, I reckon it works now. Thanks!
-
Alright, thanks, this cleared up a bit. So seeing as how tars itself connects to the tars plugin running on the TS client as a server, I need to make sure the TS client is added to the firewall?
-
Alright, I still cannot get TARS working. I have no idea what we are doing wrong. Here's what we are doing: I start TS server locally on default port 9987. I allow it thru my Windows firewall. I start TARS and... ... click A-10C and press Install TARS. ... type in 127.0.0.1 and port 9987. ... click Install Teamspeak Plugin. ... click Network and type in 0.0.0.0 and 9987. [*] I open TS client beta 36 and enable the TARS plugin. [*]I connect to my local server by typing in localhost and port 9987. [*]My friend connect to my TS server through hamachi vpn on my hamachi ip and port 9987. [*]We both join my mp server, and fire up our radios, tune to the same channel, nothing happens. I've added a picture showing the different dialogs. What are we doing wrong? :(

Thank you so much ED for making this immensely fun and realistic simulation. I left FS such a long time ago thinking it was rubbish after I flew myself for the first time, and now you give us this holy grail of hardcore simming! Thank you so much!!! I know this is not mainstream and that you know being able to go mainstream by making it more arcade/game would mean more customers, so I am thanking you for making this decision such a long time ago giving the hardcore simmers out there this possiblity. I'd pay twice the amount I did for DCS if it would mean giving you the chance to increase your resources going into this series. :)

That's offset navigation, not UTM, afaik.

Slack on TM HOTAS Warthog?
LostOblivion replied to LostOblivion's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Alright! Got my new hog today, and the results are...GREAT! No slack in the x and no slack in the y, the stick is dead center, as it should be. I am a happy man! :) -
new Thrustmaster Warthog problem.
LostOblivion replied to Stadius's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Got my brand new hog today, and I can state that there is the wobbly pinky switch on this one as well, so all normal there. ;) -
new Thrustmaster Warthog problem.
LostOblivion replied to Stadius's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Yeah, it was wobbly on my stick as well. I got mine replaced because of slack on the stick itself, but the throttle pinky switch is supposed to be that way. I still haven't received my new stick yet, but I'll post here if there's anything different with the pinky. :) Yeah, I find it a little bit irritating, but as sobek says, it's supposed to be this way to be able to use it as, well, the pinky switch. -
Hey, In some videos I cannot seem to find right now, I've noticed durability scratches/corrotion on the canopy of the A-10C. I can't see this is my game, and wonder how they got these?

1.1.0.8 - we got the ladder!!! Yessss!
LostOblivion replied to shagrat's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
How do I lower the ladder? :O -
Ah, does it still say not running when it's only me in a multiplayer server? Looking forward to the next release. :)

Slack on TM HOTAS Warthog?
LostOblivion replied to LostOblivion's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Turns out you're right about them shooting themselves in the foot, as Thrustmaster thankfully deemed the stick unrepairable, and thus they'll send me a new product. :) Yeah, looking forward to getting my stick back, or a new stick anyway, as having reverted to my old X52 just made me not play the game since it's such a difference without the HOTAS I've gotten dependable on. Hehe. -
Sunday Fun - Come Join US (great videos)
LostOblivion replied to Ranger79's topic in Screenshots and Videos
Not on standby and yes the plugin is checked, or I wouldn't see TARS: Not running even. I'm wondering though, what's the difference between the TARS Teamspeak Net Location port under DCS: A-10C and the NetSettings port under Teamspeak plugin settings? I.e., what setting should I choose, seeing I have a TS3 server running on my machine, localhost on port 9987, and want TARS and TS3 client to work with this? I've picked 127.0.0.1:9987 under TARS Teamspeak Net Location and 0.0.0.0:9987 on the plugin. What firewall ports other than TS3 server do I need to open? -
Thanks! This will come in handy. Already printed it. :)

LostOblivion replied to Ranger79's topic in Screenshots and Videos
Hey guys, I notice you're using TARS. I've got my own server up and running on localhost, but when I've fired up TARS and TS3 client beta 36, it just says TARS: Not running on me and my buddy? Do I have to be in the game and correct channel for it to say something different than not running? Can't make it work, unfortunately. :( Totally awesome videos btw. :D -
Oh thanks! Just what I was looking for, but unfortunately I cannot get TARS working either. I got TARS running, beta 36 running, and with the server running on my machine me my client connected to it, just says TARS: Not running. Anyone know how to make this work?

Slack on TM HOTAS Warthog?
LostOblivion replied to LostOblivion's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Right, so now after one week of waiting, my reseller has, and I quote "determined that the cause of my returning of the product was RMA" and that they have shipped it to Thrustmaster for an expert opinion, and they will come back to me with the results within 21 working days. WHAT THE HELL? What is wrong with these guys... Pixmania, I'm seriously not going to wait over a month to get my joystick back?! I should have ordered my hog from amazon like you guys, instead of this stupid reseller... -

TM Warthog EAC Switch Backlight
LostOblivion replied to Homewrecker's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
There are so many problems with the HOTAS, wonder if TM actually do any thoughrough testing before putting the QC mark on it. :S Mine was too sloppy in the stick it self, so I had to RMA it. All these errors make us have to wait two weeks for a replacement. :( -
Oh, I see. How do I do that? And also I remember we tried using beta 36 a while back, but when we both logged into TS it said TARS not running on both of our TS clients. :(
-
Me and my buddy wanna try out TARS with DCS A-10C and TS3, but we're having a hard time making it work. Right now we are using TS3 RC1, but the current version of TARS doesn't seem to work with this version of TS. So my question is: do anyone know how to make TARS work with TS, and how?
