  1. Good point.
  2. Well, the 29a can reach Mach 2.3 for a reason.
  3. HB did that with the F4E (tickbox for reference aircraft), and I think it is a good thing to have that as an option.
  4. Very similar to F16, which is not surprising in my opinion.
  5. Thank you both for the information.
  6. Sounds like the F4E's radar lol
  7. Is the spyglass/VR zoom function assigned to a key/joystick button? If yes, it might worth checking whether your controller/keyboard is acting up, sending unwanted pulses. To confirm this, you can try by unassigning all VR zoom/spyglass zoom key/button assignments. If the problem disappears, then you know you have a controller issue. Otherwise, must investigate further. I've been flying the 29 in VR quite often and never had any issue similar to what you're describing.
  8. Oh, I thought when you said "you need to achieve a target lock first," you meant a radar lock. My bad.
  9. I have noticed that when you switch to the HMD, the radar lamp on the front right panel turns off. It seems like the radar is deactivated in this mode.
  10. Just watch the warnings. You'll see emitters jumping around on both azimuth, distance and type. It may well be a very realistic depiction of the SPO15. I'm not knowledgeable enough to argue for our against. But I know for a fact that it is as useless as the SPO10. I fly the Fulcrum like I do the 21: without SPO.
  11. I haven't said there is anything better out there; if there were, I'd be there. DCS is the best there is. It doesn't change the fact, however, that overall ecm, rwr (especially blue), iff, radar (except maybe the F4s excellent pulse radar), missile behavior implementations in DCS are imaginative suppositions, which by the way is understandable as these are top secret pieces of info. And therefore realism is targeted by ED; it is not a set in stone promise or provision in DCS. If you have no problem rearming/repairing within minutes, then the same should apppy to other aspects. Gameplay is a thing.
  12. That's what I do, as all the spo 15 does is distracting you with false warnings.
  13. Manual page 89: What does it mean "before issuing the gorka command"? What is a Gorka command, and how do/why should I issue it? What does it mean "the aiming ring moves up or down in a jump"? I'm having difficulty making sense of these statements. Can someone please explain?
  14. I believe the opposite is true. Except in areas where it is not.
  15. Even when it works, SPO15 gives too many false and meaningless warnings. It is as useless as the SPO10 (the one used in the Mig21, Mi24) at this time.
  16. In single player, the IFF recognizes friendlies fine. On online servers, IFF will not recognize friendlies, neither AI nor human. 4YA_CAU_PVE_V2.143[03_DEC_BKN]-20250920-164637.trk
  17. Are you sure the aerodrome has PRMG (ILS)? Some have RSBN but no PRMG.
  18. That's driving me nuts. And I think it is also a server side setting. Last night, my imperial cockpit turned to metric (analogue speed gauge also) by itself on the Contention server. (I was thinking to myself how am I so fast but not climbing fast enough, then figured duh). This module needs a lot of work on a lot of fronts. Radar lockon/drop out, SPO full of false alerts and online dysfunctional IFF are reason enough to shelve this one until fixed. Bummed
  19. Try landing in Krymsk aerodrome and see if it works.
  20. As one of those folks who remain on AB from take off through almost the entire sortie in the Viper, I think it has great range when you're up high (+35k); I never run out of fuel before I go winchester. Up high you must AB anyway. Actually I'm a bit taken aback with how fuel efficient the DCS 16 is, especially compared to that other F16 sim. It's like the energizer bunny. I found the 29 to be not too different from the 16, fuel consumption wise. I think avoiding fighting on the deck and making it a rule to go up high could sway the opinion of many who think the 29 and the 16 have short range.
  21. Personally, I didn't have any problem with the clarity of wording.
