  1. Hello, thank you very much guys for your kind replies, I have tried slow repair before and again, with the same result - AGM-119B_fr.txt is a magical file on my PC, that can't be moved . My patience is almost depleted and I will probably resort to complete reinstall, when I have time. O.
  2. Hi BIGNEWY, thank you very much for your efort. I already had DCS exemted in antivirus, so I tried to delete the _downloads folder and redo the update with unfortunately same result. I also included log file this time, although I am not sure if it can help. Being a bit rusty with DCS, can you please remind me which files to save to preserve all my controls seettings in case I have to go for clean install? Thanks again. O. autoupdate_log.txt
  3. Hello, after few inactive months I have tried to update DCS, however I keep getting the screen that I have enclosed as the screenshot. The update, due to this, completely fails. Does anyone know how to overcome this without needing clean DCS re installation? I do not use any modifications. Thanks in advance, O.
  4. Hi Wrcknbckr, thanks a lot. O.
  5. Hello all, I usually set up for each module the default field of view angle using SnapViews file placed here: C:\Users\XXXXX\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Config\View. But I can't phind Phantom there. Is there any other way? It is annoying having to do it manually at the beginning of each flight. Thanks for help.. O.
  6. Same issue, added lunch parameters forsing VR, force openXR.. nothing, DCS lunches but only in 2D. Non MT exe vorks with VR fine. So I gues I am excluded form trying this.. :(. O.
  7. Hi, most ridiculous, nonsensical AI Ace FM is with Jf-17.. When it comes to AI challange, I train almost exclusively against it with any jet.. anything else is relatively easy. O.
  8. I have checked the controler in Windows and it seems the issue was there. I have recently recalibrated my pedals and something went wrong.. So thanks for pointing me in this direction. I guess this thread can be closed as solved.. O.
  9. Will post screenshot when I get back home. I know what you mean, some modules require inverted settings. However now, regardless of setting - whether the axis are inverted or not, or set as the slider, they stay always in the middle. It is overall issue, not connetected to the specific module. The outcome is that if I assign wheel brake axis to the controller for any relevant module, the aircraft is permanently half-braking. I was using toe brakes without problems until the last update. I am curious whether anyone else have noticed this. O.
  10. I do not know, if it is a bug and if it is happening only to me, but after the latest DCS update, toe brake axis, even when set as the slider, work as if set as normal axis and therefore, eventhough there is no imput from the controler, the brakes in aircraft are always half actuated and therefore the aicraft is permanently braking. This makes toe brakes on my pedals basically useless for all aicraft, which brake with toe brakes. O.
  11. Reminder of my previous post - I have crashed once this evening, during the 2nd mission load, than cleaned C:\Users\ondre\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\fxo and now I am flying the whole evening without issues. Can anyone try to reproduce this to confirm, whether it is, or it is not, just me? O.
  12. Hi Flappie I thik might have the direction for finding the culprint of the second mission CTD. I have tried all the things sugested in this thread, with no positive result, just like every one elese. However I have found out, that if I erase C:\Users\ondre\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\fxo every day before flying, or after the first CTD that day, I can then fly all day long.. until next day comes and new *.fxo files appear in the folder, with the new date. I hope this workaround helps everyone, until the bug is found. O.
  13. And also the gun sight folding and transition from cruise view to gun sight view, are similarly afected... O.
  14. Glad to see it works not just for me . O.
  15. All right, I have figuered it out. It indeed is about resolution, but rather about the ratio, then the resolution itself. In another words if you have monitor with native resolution 16 / 10 you are screwed. If you have 16 / 9, you are good. I have old small monitor with native resolution 1680 / 1050. I have switched to 1600 / 900 in game and miracle happened, see picture bellow. Well for me, it seems, the sulotion is to buy a new monitor ... ... ehm finally after 18 years. O.
  16. Same for me, hopfully ED will notice this thread and try to address... O.
  17. Unfortunatelly I found that for now only enabling SSAA 2x removes this efect.. of course with corresponding drastic dip into the FPS. O.
  18. This toying against the AI Mig-15 somehow sparked my interest in Mig-15 and its module, so it is now freshly in my hangar. And the first thing I wanted to try was to put the whole task on its head: Is really Mig-15 AI grossly overperforming compared to the player's FM? I was really surprised about how the Mig can keep up with modern fighters in this particular scenario.. . O.
  19. Sekrit module ? It is obvious - M2000-5... in two weeksTM.. be sure . Looking at the F-15E screenshots, I have a question on more serios note - is there a plan to overhaul external model of M2000 in the future, similar to what was done with cockpit? O.
  20. I am slightly late to this discussion, but I love these little challenges . Here is my take on to this: And just for comparison with M2000 (which I have for 2 weeks now and I have become addicted to it ), which allows one to be bit more cheeky: In both cases, for training purposes, I handicaped my self with 2 heaters to add a bit more drag and weight. Exploiting speed, vertical and roll rate is the key - no need to add more after all the previous posts. O. P.S.: Please excuse lower quality of the videos, I still have small monitor, hence only SD on YouTube.
  21. Back to the original topic: definitely Mig-29. With PFM it is a blast to fly. It is, at least for me personnaly, plesurably sensitive (some say unrealistically too much, but its probably more about short sticks we have.. ehm I mean joysticks :)) with immediate response to pilots imputs. It is powerful beast with ability to quckly decelerate, but then quickly accelerate... and at altitude no other A/C (in DCS at the moment - well, if I am wrong, someone will surely correct me) goes from Mach 1 to Mach 2 faster. I do not use any curves on any axis, only those landings I still have to practice: https://youtu.be/MDsIfcP8ilo Shame you didn't like M2000, because it is also a blast to fly.. each aircraft may have its quirks and limitations, but what makes it all interesting is to learn to ovecome them... O.
  22. I bought Mirage last week and its amazing. I love the handling qualities - just simple flying around is a blast. With no other aircraft I would be able to dance as elegantly with 3 Eagles as this: I would like to thank developers for this beautiful modul - and looking forward to, hopefully, dash 5 Mk2 ;). (And also Mirage IIIC) O.
  23. Hi, this is my take on this task: Pls exuse the quality of the video, i do not have appropriate equipment for uploding HD videos on YT. I stayed on high energy level, all it took is one turn and one lil dive :). O.
  24. Ahoy, I found a little imperfection - a sunlight goes underneath the canopy frame in situations, when the aircraft is lit directly from behind. And BTW congrats nad thanks for the great module . O.
  25. The issue is not much about being able to stop the aircarft, but in external view it is clearly visible, that the wheels are blocked, the tyres screech and one basically slides on the runway (all when applying effective braking force). O.
