  1. I had a lot of HOTAS. X52, X56, and Thrustmaster Warthog. All broke. X52 und X56 very soon, and a short while ago the Warthog - the 4th I had! I switched to WinWing a while ago. Bought the SuperTaurus - excellent and bought the F15EX and the F16EX Throttles. I know what the OP means, but in no means is this any setback for me. Their hardware is just excellent and way better than all my old stuff. For Stick bases I use VIRPIL bases and Thrustmaster/VIPRIL Grips. These are excellent as well. And of course the collective from VIRPIL is awesome. If someone askes me for a serious HOTAS (not a 'I want to try out flying and do not want to spend money'), I can recommend WinWing any time! Excellent and durable hardware for an excellent price!
  2. ...and that's why I ordered a second one to have a spare in case of need!
  3. I found it a great offer from ED to have made it possible to refund after all. It was long known and if one missed it or didn't want to, then I bet this is covered in some "Early Access" footprint. To then demand a different model as compensation is somewhat ... too much in my opinion. I refunded and it's no big loss for me. I have too many modules as it is anyways.
  4. Just for speculations... After the F15C is done, ED could take on the F15E. Maybe they got some part in their initial contract, that they can use whatever they can salvage from the already done parts on RAZBAMS model, while already having/developing a bunch of stuff from the F15C. Also they have experience with multicrew airframes (AH64, MI24). So maybe the Mudhen will come after all. @cfrag An "official" statement is probably something coming from both parts as one statement. But I see it like Dragon1-1: If the CEO of a company tells on official/public channels that something is over, then I don't see how that's gonna change...
  5. Well... Even if it's not an official statement from ED, it's an official statement from RAZBAM via X. So I guess at least on RAZBAM side, there's not much interest in going on with DCS.
  6. I think it's a shame to discontinue a product like that. The F14 Stick is somewhat very special and different to all other sticks. The point with VIRPIL was, that their base not only support their sticks, but also the Thrustmaster sticks and I believe, you could mount a Virpil Stick also on a Thrustmaster base and maybe loose an axis or so, but I think I read somewhere that the functions of the F14 stick remained (no thumb wheel for DLC Flaps, but buttons and no axis for pinky-lever, but button push). The VKB stuff is unfortunately not compatible with VIRPIL/THRUSTMASTER sticks and bases...
  7. Yeah - where IS the official Photoshop paint kit?
  8. JoyToKey always helps me achieve things like that, if I got problems.
  9. More like replace the callsign on the livery with your own/MP name.
  10. I wish to display a name at the cockpit of the various fighters like it is, but dynamic just like the modex numbers. Add another field in the mission editor (by tail number) and the rearm/refuel screen to choose a different name. In Multiplayer use the multiplayer name if non is given. Would be awesome for squadrons, multiplayer servers and external views/screenshots. Thanks.
  11. The Forrestal has a rough time besides the Supercarrier. Everyone who loves Naval/Fleet Operations will probably use the Supercarrier, while this incredible ship rots (digitally). A Heatblur-Eagle Dynamics cooperation with a Forrestal/Supercarrier Module would be the way to go. Maybe unrealistic, but in my opinion the only way this incredible module would get some use. Also a cold war era 'supercarrier' would be a great addition. And later a WWII Supercarrier. Don't know how difficult it is, to use the Supercarrier's deck crew code to get it working. I don't care about manned stations, but takeoff/landing operations is a must.
  12. Another few month. I hope it will be made available 2025.
  13. THANK YOU! Now it is doable! Average now after your tweaks! AWESOME!
  14. 2 years with no positiv outlook and on top of that a stop in sales? That does not sound promising at all. It sounds like: "He's dead, Jim!"
  15. Is there still a chance this will be implemented? I see no such (dynamic) thing in 2025.
  16. That actually remains to be seen. If no one maintains the modules with upcoming DCS World versions, the may deteriorate to a point when they will not work at all any more. I expect this to happen sooner or later.
  17. After some more extensive testing I came back to MSAA 4x. I havedecent frames on my system (i7 9700K, 64Gb RAM, RTX 3090, Valve Index) with MSAA and no ghosting. More fps is always better, but I can spot and see targets further away when on MSAA and also close I see aircraft easier. For the time being, I have given up on DLSS.
  18. Bomb Mode Wing Sweep works better for me as well. Also - depending on tanker speed - I find it useful to have half speedbrake. Throttle is a bit more responsive and you are more in the mid range of your throttle axis, instead of the lower end. An internetsearch (I never flew a real Tomcat) concluded, that the speed brake thing is also sometimes used by real pilots...
  19. Yes and no. The video says, you don't see bandits if you are above or at co altitude. It might explain, why you could not lock a target.
  20. Maybe you want to look at this video from Spudknocker: He's showing radar capabilites at higher, lower and coaltitude. I found it very informative.
  21. Was flying Preset "J" last night and it was ok. Did some dogfighting (but only 1v1 AI plane and two tankers somewhere in the background). It was all right. I guess for primary dogfighting, I would still consider MSAA, while for BVR and/or ground targets I guess DLSS is all right. World War II planes might have a hard time with DLSS, since you are constantly "dogfighting"...
  22. Yeah - I know. Since the last patch it seems to work again... I believe there was a DCS bug with it. At last on my PC.
  23. DLSS may have quite some ghosting. Still... If your computer can afford it, MSAA is superior.
  24. I did a test with my system: VR Valve Index - 150% (DCS '1' pixel density) | nVidia GTX 3090 | Intel i7-9700K | 64GB RAM Put in the two lines in the autoexec.cfg (DLSS_Preset = "K" and HUD_MFD_after_DLSS = true) Was flying F14. And I have to say MSAA 4x is still quite superior. Had still lots of ghosting with DLSS.
  25. Well, besides from all settings, how do you find DLSS spotting compared to MSAA in the current version? I didn't come by to test yet, but I found spotting with standard DLSS settings in native DCS terrible in the last version. Is it now close or equal to MSAA?
