  1. Drhow...thanks for this. I see that changing to Pula gets rid of the tracers. I can't figure out what the scale_tracer parameter does. What does changing that to 0 actually do?
  2. I know but you can never be sure...... So I guess the choice is between "no clouds" vs. "shimmering hills" Is there a fix planned to keep the cloud shadows but remove the shimmering bug on the hills? Or is there a limitation in the graphics engine that doesn't allow you to fix it properly? Thanks.
  3. It would have been nice if a simple cd check was implemented so those who own Lomac CD can just pop it in so FC2 installer can check it and begin installing.....without having to have Lomac installed....
  4. I'll have to check whether it's D or K but it's whatever is loaded with quickstart in FC2.0. I too NEVER had this problem until I went from FC1.12b to FC 2.0. It's not a jammed joystick as the none of the buttons are pressed, just the keyboard key "D" to cycle through weapons. When the cycle reaches the AGM, sometimes it just fires by itself (immediately...no 2s pause).
  5. Does using the no clouds mod take anything else away except the annoying shimmering in the hills? I mean, does it take cloud shadows that work (over flat land for example) away? If so, is there a limitation in the graphics engine that prohibits ED to put out an official patch? I know this problem has been around since LOMAC was launched...
  6. Once in a while, my AGM65 missile fires by itself when I cycle through the different weapons using D key as soon as the AGM65 is selected. Anyone else have this problem? I didn't have this in FC 1.12b.. Thanks.
  7. I've been trying to figure this out too as changing salvo size or ripple quanity doesn't seem to help.... I could have sworn I was able to control the number of rockets per trigger press in FC1.12....

  10. I'm trying to figure out how to fire one or two missiles at a time with the A-10. Neither Lctrl-V or Lctrl-space seems to work properly. I can get it to fire single missile or pairs a couple of times but the next time I press fire, it emptys my entire salvo. Is there a way to permanently set it to fire a certain number of missiles each time I press fire? Thanks.

  12. Make sure you download the game updates form TrackIR and that DCS Blackshark is there. FC2 uses Blackshark profile now. I hope they make a profile for FC2 separately soon......
  13. You won't be able to because the executable is called "simulator.exe" which runs only after you launch a mission within launcher.......

  15. Folks, I haven't used padlock since I bought TrackIR some time ago. I tried using padlock by pressing num(.) key to padlock enemy air but it did not work. What am I missing? Thanks.
  16. First, I think there is an error in the manual. Page 284 fo flight manual says: "Select gun pods by pressing the [RCtrl-Space] key and confirm weapon selection on the HUD and WCS panel; two gun pods will be selected. Set the ripple interval/gun pods mode to FIX mode and the ripple quantity switch to PO2. If the aircraft has four gun pods loaded onboard, press [LCtrl-Space] once more. Set the ripple interval/gun pods mode to FIX mode and the ripple quantity switch to PO2." Is the above a typo? I dont' think RCtrl-Space is correct. Shouldnt' it be LCtrl-Space? Anyway, in FC 1.12, I used to be able to press fire and the gun would automatically lock the vertical axis when I used programmed mode. However, in FC2, it doesn't seem to work and even when laser is on, it seems to work as fixed depression mode. Any ideas?

  21. Thanks but that's what I want to avoid because I don't want to use the same profile for BS and FC2. For example, I use the TrackIR precision key for BS but do not want to for FC2. Is there a way to add a separate FC2 title in TrackIR?

  23. Folks, I've done the games update on TrackIR but it doesn't seem to have an entry for FC2. Does anyone know how to add a specific entry for FC2 so I can use it's own TrackIR profile instead of default profile?
  24. I notice in FC2 that when ailerons are used, the head tilts automatically in the corresponding direction. Any way to disable this as I don't need it since I have TrackIR? Thank you.
