English Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 2 Now Available
replied to Wags's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
Ok guys...is the English version what folks in US should buy or will there be a US version soon? Thanks. -
Wolf, the problem has been ack'ed by Logitech and they are "hammering on it" for the next LGS release.
-
You probably don't use S5 button as "shift". That's when the blue screen occurs.
-
I posted in the other G940 thread that Logitech confirmed the blue screen issue with Win 7 64 will be fixed in next driver release. I can't wait since I haven't flown my Ka-50 in while!
-
So today, I got this from Logitech regarding this issue: "We are able to replicate the issue. The software engineer is resolving the issue by maintaining what is happening. The fix for the issue will be included with LGS 5.09 (this includes BSOD). There is no ETA for 5.09 as of right now. I would keep my eyes on the forum for posts from a specialist regarding feedback and releases."
-
So you're not getting blue screen when you use your shift button? At least I am with win 7 64 bit. I would say open a ticket like I did with Logitech. More voices the better. For the force feedback issue, just disable FF in producer.cfg. DCS has always had issues with FF....not just for G940.
-
i have win 7 64 but don't have this issue. However, I have a nvidia 285 gtx.

If you want to overclock properly. download and run prime95 and run it overnight. If you have no errors running it, then your overclock is stable. If you have errors, I'm afraid you're overclock is not.

Lock On crashes in Windows 7. I've exhausted every "fix" I know of.

When you say "crash" do you mean a bluescreen or something else? -
kewl! Thanks for the info hreich. Hope you get your profiles working.
-
Actually, I love the way LGS Profiler works. It's so simple to use.
-
Hi Hreich. No problems with the profiles. Just make sure your profile is pointing to the correct executable. It should point to C:\Program Files (x86)\Eagle Dynamics\Ka-50\bin\stable\DCS.exe and NOT C:\Program Files (x86)\Eagle Dynamics\Ka-50\bin\stable\Launcher.exe Hope this helps. PS - Did you hear back from Logitech Tech Support regarding the BSOD on Win7 64?
-
Well, even if the root cause is not DCS, it has SOMETHING to do with DCS as it's the only game it happens in. At any rate, the fault occurs with a Logitech file that translates button presses to key presses so Logitech is looking into it. I'm just hoping ED can help Logitech troubleshoot it if necessary.
-
that looks to me like fullscreen option is not checked. Are you sure it's checked?
-
try it again without overclocking any components.
-
I have win7 64 and 940 and the problem I have is that I lose aileron control after a while of playing.
-
It's too bad because the G940 is a great HOTAS system in terms of hardware. Hope they work with ED to get the Win 7 64 compatibility issue fixed quickly. For the record, after opening the ticket, I have been in regular contact with Logitech. They are working on it and asked info they need to debug several times after I've opened the ticket. Yeah, their drivers suck but their customer service seems responsive....at least this is my experience.
-
Go here to open the ticket. http://logitech-en-amr.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/logitech_en_amr.cfg/php/enduser/ask.php? In the meantime, I hope ED can also look into this as DCS Blackshark is the only sim with this problem. Thanks.
-
hreic, please open a ticket with Logitech. I did about this very same issue. More voices will help in getting them to do something about it. The crash is caused by wmxlcore.sys which translates button presses to key presses. wmxlcore.sys is a Logitech file so I'm pretty certain it's a Logitech issue. FYI - if you go back to Vista64, you can use LGS 5.07 and it won't crash. LGS5.08 is the problem. Unfortuneately, you cannot use LGS 5.07 with Windows 7 64......as the G940 will not be detected during install. LGS 5.08 is the first LGS version that supports Windows 7 64 but unfortuneatly has a problem with DCS Blackshark. All other sims seem ok though such as ROF, FSX, IL-2. Lomac seems to lose aileron control after a while though. Thanks.
-
I spoke too soon. The bluescreen still happens. However, Hreich, you are right.....it seems to happen when the "shift" button is pressed. Not 100% reproducible, but happens about 50% of the time. I'm so frustrated as I can't fly this simulator now. :(
-
This is really interesting. I just installed Wings of Prey demo which installs the just released DirectX runtime (released on 2/5/10). After upgrading to this latest version, I haven't had the BSOD with Blackshark! Will need to observe for a while but it seems fixed with this latest DirectX version.n Thanks to Wings of Prey!!! :)
-
Thanks for the confirmation. That's terrible because I use the shift button on the joystick quite a bit. Is this something ED can fix? I can't play this great simulation because of this issue :(

Video Piloting has been around for a while...... http://www.rcgroups.com/video-piloting-fpv-rpv-469/?
-
Really? Nobody here has Logitech G940 with Win 7 64 bit? If there is anyone, can you please comment whether you do or do not have the same problem? Thank you.
-
OT too but they aren't going to actually model little birds flying around are they? I think FSX is the only sim today that has actually modeled live animals including birds in the simulator.
