Go to C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\Ka-50\Config\View rename the snapviews.lua to some other name copy snapviewsdefault.lua to the same directory as snapviews.lua That should do it.

I have my mirrors turned off right now and get a pretty good bump in framerates. I haven't figured out the usefulness of the mirrors except that with them on, it's more accurate in terms of realism. Are the mirrors modeled in BS useful for anything besides "cool factor"?

In the english version, you can have Russian cockpit if you choose.

A good analogy would be driving a real car vs. driving a car simulation. It might be just me but for me it's easier to drive a real car than a car simulation. You just don't have all the senses to help you in a simulation. However, I'm not saying that if you can drive a car in a simulation, that you can drive in real life (or deserve a drivers license - lol). But if someone were to have the same amount of stick time in a real BS as they did on the DCS:BS, I would say it would end up easier flying the real thing.

Definately the best simulation I've ever come across. It's destined to be a classic if it's not already.

I would think it may be even harder to fly the simulation than the real thing because you lack the peripheral vision, and the dexterity of being able to click the buttons and turn knobs much easier as in real life. You would also get other cues like G-forces etc that would give a a pilot flying the real thing an advantage.

Guys I can't seem to figure out how to turn off one of the external lights. I use Ralt-L to turn off navigation lights but I can't seem to turn off one of the red lights on the bottom of the Blackshark. Which key combo am I missing? Thanks.

MBot, every time I play your mission, I am impressed by the job you did. It really makes you feel like you're just a small part of a much bigger battle. With missions like these, who needs dynamic campaign anyway? Great Great job Mbot and I look forward to more missions from you.

I second that! With the subtitles, there is no need to hear english in this sim. Russian language would bump up the realism by a point in this sim!

I hope ED sells a lot of them and make tons of money so they can use it to bring us more GREAT simulators such as BS. I can't remember having this much fun with a simulator since......a looooong time ago!

Or just get a trackIR and enjoy even more! :) sounds like you're using the mouse to slew your cockpit view.....imo, anyone who flies simulation like this MUST own a TrackIR.

Thanks for the clarification Vince. Although I'm not having any issues, I went ahead and uninstalled and reinstalled TrackIR and now the default it 4KB. Everything still working as normal. :)

Are you asking because you use TrackIR? If so, just hit the button assigned to disable track IR while you are clicking buttons. By default I think it's F12.

Thanks so it says: "Desired heading: Point heli at the chosen WP. Desired track: Fly the heli along the pre-dermined FLIGHT PATH to the WP." But what I notice is that when I use desired heading, it also seems to fly along the pre-determined FLIGHT PATH. So I'm still confused as to the difference.

Hello, My search didn't yield the answer to this question. I'm wondering what the difference between "Desired Heading Hold" and "Desired Track Angle Hold" in Route Mode. I experimented with them but cannot figure out what the difference is. They both seem to enable autopilot to follow the waypoints or direction to target. Thanks.

Guys, I advise you not to purchase this. I did and it is not worth it. It takes at least 6 minutes to load the textures for flights when you change something as simple as the water texture. I'm trying to get my money back from them right now. Also, the graphics enhancements look better in their marketing screenshots than it is in FSX. Also, their tech support is nonexistent as they just close and delete your tech support requests. *UPDATE* Do NOT give REX your money! When I told their tech support that the program takes too long to load, and that it is unusable and I'd like a refund, they deleted my account from their database so I can't even contact them now. Essentially, they took my money and ran leaving me with an unusable program.
