  1. I know, but couldn't hurt to ask. I would have loved to see it done with all the limitations, lazy take offs, slow landings.
  2. I know the Mi-8MTV is not finished yet and there are projects planed, but is there a chance to see an old version Mi-8? The one with TV2-117 engines.
  3. Glare shields - flying in the sun is no fun. Clean helicopter - no targeting device in my face. The possibility to instal extra fuel tanks, either internal or external and to control the load of the helicopter from the ream/refuel panel.
  4. The mayak is the red rotating beacon light, the one on the tail. Some helicopters also have one under the helicopter.
  5. I manage to solve the problem. The airport has to be declared either red or bleu. You cannot refuel on neutral airports.
  6. I landed at Soganlug and at Tbilisi. I requested refuel and nothing happened.
  7. Still broken in 1.2.7. Can't refuel and can't rearm. It worked in the 1.2.7 beta, though.
  8. I would like to add that also Ground Power doen't work anymore. I request it through the radio, and nothing happens anymore.
  9. I am refering to DCS World 1.2.7 beta. When it was in beta it was working, and now it is not.
  10. In the beta it worked, in the released version it doesn't work anymore. Even if the box is checked or not, the hardpoints are there. Also the extra armor, same thing.
  11. I confirm this.
  12. Hm, some minor correction if I may: Batteries ON, 115V to Manual (up position), 36V to OFF, CBs ON, fire detection ON, C & L & R tanks pumps ON, engine fuel pumps ON, APU Start. For battery conservation you may start with 2 pumps, Center and left or right and turning the third one on at a later time. At least one minute later: rotor brake off select engine, press Start for 1-2 seconds when "Starter ON" light is ON set Engine Stop lever to Open monitor engine startup repeat for the other engine same operation After succesfull two engine start, twist grip to full (throtle full), AC ON, Rectifiers 1,2,3 ON, 115V and 36V to Auto (down position), PZU ON, nav lights ON, turn on all navigation sistems (triangle switches, first left then right) APU OFF Turn on Roll-Pitch and Yaw autopilot chanels. Test them by moving the stick and look if the indicators are moving. After take off, above 50 meters turn OFF PZUs (no dust above 50 meters) and you may turn on AP Altitude chanel. During hot and high or hot or high operations that PZUs eat arround 7% of engine power. For winter operations, Anti-Ice system is ON.
  13. I would love to hear the real trimmer sound.
  14. Disabling the anti-virus will allow the update. I disabled it and the update worked without problems.
  15. I've tried the "Working for railways" mission. Very nice. The problem is that when I land in the port at the designated spot (the one by the ship where's that yellow smoke) and try to load the cargo by F10 and F2 it says "you don't have any logistics group or equipment nearby". Although when I take off the helicopter is heavier. Any thoughts?
  16. Here is a copy-paste from autoupdate.log
  17. Really? No one? Nothing?
  18. Very nice mission, Cibit. Would be nice though if the helicopter is not started.
  19. I have a problem with the latest update (1.2.6 4th update). I launch DCS and it tells me about the newest version and if I want to update. I click yes, it downloads the patch, but then at some point appears: "Unable to update. Servers can't handle your request" Any thoughts?
  20. All of them have vibration dampers, no PZUs, VM engines.
  21. At 255-260 they start to vibrate.
  22. I think it depends on the request of the customer. If the customer operates in high altitude conditions revisions are made to the helo and manuals so it will allow operating in high conditions. We here have 3 Mi-17s, 1 VIP and 2 standard. Although the engines are the same, the VIP helicopter cruise speed is at 270km/h. It naturally stays at 270km/h with no vibrations. The other two their cruise speed is at 230km/h. So, go figure :joystick:
  23. The Mi-8MSB is practicly a vanila Mi-8 with steroids. Instead of the TV2 engines, Motor Sich installed TV3. Anywho, how many helicopters are equipped with the TV3-117VMA-CBM1V engines? I believe the question was addressed for the helicopters with TV3-117MT/VM engines. Also if the manual states the the max altitude is 5000 meters it doesn't mean it won't go further up. @BaD CrC: I have my own flight manual copy as I am an engineer. It's not in English though. We have here Mi-17 with TV3-117VM engines.
  24. @Gloom Demon: Those helicopters are unique and not in series production, yet. The flight manual states: - with normal take off weight 11100 kg: 5000 meters - with max take off weight 13000 kg: 4100 meters. When engine and blade anti-ice system turned on, subtract 200-300 meters. And for helicopters equipped with EVU (exhaust gas cooling device) subtract another 150-200 meters.
