  1. In the cockpit, on the autopilot panel there should be a warning light: "Chips Main XMSN". Also the APU stop button, engine Start Discont button and Fire Protection System Manual Discharge buttons should be red.
  2. Another two videos: http://www.avsim.su/f/iz-kabini-ekipazha-97/mi-8-t-irkutskaya-obl--35987.html?action=viewonline http://www.avsim.su/f/iz-kabini-ekipazha-97/mi-8-mtv-afrika-36008.html?action=viewonline
  3. They fly for the Ministry of Emergency Situations - MChS.
  4. Interesting non-standard cyclic you have there. Anymore details about it?
  5. It would be nice to have a PZU shortcut key. The system has to be ON or OFF during take offs or landings, a critical stage of flight and it is awkward to look for the switches and click them. PZU - dust protection system.
  6. The problem might be your PC. I have almost your specs and have almost the same issues.
  7. I recently bought the Mi-8MTV-2 and notice some missing parts. - fligth engineers chair - copilot fan - there should be a cover between the pilots dashboards. - on the main landing gear struts on the upper schock absorber the compass is missing. - behind the left pilots's seat there should be the main compass and on the wall there should be the first aid kit. - also there should be a first aid kid behind the right pilot This is all I could find in the first 15 minutes of flight. I thank you for the work so far for bringing this helicopter to the virtual world. Keep up the very good work.
  8. The dust protection should be started when the helo is bellow 50 meters. Be warned that it can eat up to 10% of engine power. At least this is in the real helo, I'm not sure about the simulation.
  9. KO-50 is the cabin / cockpit heater. It's no fun flying at minus 30C if you don't have heated cockpit. The unit is located in front of the right fuel tank.
  10. From the last photo above, the flight engineer is missing :D
  11. I guess real pilots don't need Firefighting system - ON :music_whistling:
  12. That's Mi-8, not Mi-8MTV. These are two different helicopters with different cockpit panels.
  13. For those who still don't understand how the trimmer works, check out this video. Granted it's from an Mi-17, but the philosophy is the same.
  14. The model is weird...it's boxy.
  15. One thing that matters is how well was your Windows OS maintained. Scanned for mall ware, spyware, viruses, etc and defragmented or what programs run in the background (winamp, yahoo messenger, antivirus programs) while you play BS. All of these things are eating resources. I have an Intel Q9550 with GForce 8800GTS, 4Gb of Ram and WinVista. BS2 runs with +35fps in a mission with a sunny day, and ~15fps when it's cloudy. I scan my pc regularly and maintain my Windows OS as clean as possible. Also I have to say that the install is almost 2 years old. Keep your Windows clean and BS2 can run with ok FPS.
  16. Nice film. This should be the game trailer.
  17. Erhm, excuse my ignorance, but what is a "T.A.D. screen" ?
  18. A new Mi-8 model! Goody, goody!
  19. I am quite familiar with the Mi-17...being an engineer.....but never heard of that layout. Can you give some more details ?
  20. If you want switchology...we should request the Mi-24 :music_whistling::pilotfly:
  21. Very nice film. At 0:55 seconds into the film there`s an interesting cockpit view. From where can I download it?
  22. I don`t yet have FC2, but...have you selected "arcade mode" like in DCS:BS? If so....choose simulation and that pesky thing will go away maybe.
  23. I remember reading not so long ago that someone here managed to make the Mi-28 flyable with the Ka-50 cockpit. I can`t seem to find the post or to a site from where I can download this mod. If anyone can help me, it would be great.
  24. What is with the sniper view in the film?

There are two files in the Sound directory "trimmerclickhold.wav" and "trimmerclickrelease.wav", but the sim only playes one of them when you press and release the trimmer button.
