Ah, I've excepted files from Norton and they are now working.. Many thanks!.

Hi, I bought F-15E back when it was first announced but due to time restrctions I have never actually played the module. I'm aware of the developer issues, but despite showing in 'my licenses', when I start DCS I get the following warning - see attached. Taking a screen grab for this I notice the F4 (which again, I am yet to play) is also showing as not authorised? I apologise if this has been answered elsewhere.

Best $50 I ever spent - and I'm not even a helo guy.

Yep, me too. I can get the LMAV page to open briefly (SSS Forward-Long) but It looks frozen and the scanning 'dot' stays stationary. I can occasionally get the missile to lock but the only cue I can see is the tiny square symbol inside aiming reticle on HUD. The other thing I have noticed is the LMAV doesn't operate after re-loading when 'Unlimited Weapons' is ticked which I use for training missions - it is physically there, but not operable. This doesn't happen with the other weapons in these missions. I think it's update issue so hopefully Razbam will pick up on this. And if you do, Thank You for the Harrier!!

That's really strange as I had zero wind set in options and the miz still shows no wind. I think the mission file was corrupted as when I created a new one with the same parameters and the veering was only minimal and within limits. Thanks for going to the trouble though, I appreciate it. :)

Hi BIGNEWY, see attached. I put on NWS to try to counteract the veer as rudder alone has little effect. Take off veering.trk

Hi, after installing the latest update this morning, my F-16 is veering violently to the right on take off. It is impossible to keep straight and overturns when I try to correct.. Has something changed?

[BORESIGHT FIRST] Can't get Mav seeker to Align with TPOD
Gerrard replied to jonsky7's topic in DCS: F-16C Viper
Same here.. 65D's always seem to be a little off from TGP. AGM65H's work fine though and slew to TGP perfectly. Shame they are so dependent on weather conditions. -
Just tested and Mavs are working well for me. I sometimes I have to re-select weapon station to get the IRs to uncage but this also happened before latest patch. I have weapon stations mapped to keyboard so for example, IR stations are mapped to key 5 and Lasers to key 6, that seems to reset the missile if it doesn't uncage first time. Otherwise, the obvious one is to make sure IRs are warmed up and you have the RDY symbol, or that you are in AG mode, or that your key bindings are mapped properly. Good luck!

Love the latest newsletter and stoked for the new carrier module and ocean map. Would have loved the Korean peninsula, but another day hopefully. :) As regards to the discount for Hornet owners: Doesn't really bother me as in reality we're talking about maybe $5 here or there- but wouldn't it have saved you a lot of forum grief to simply reduce the early access discount to say, 25%, while increasing the Hornet-owner discount to 35% during the EA phase?. I think it's always a wise strategy to keep a committed client base onside, and it'd save your head some unnecessary abuse from Mr Wall.. ;)

Hi all, Trying to use new JDAM functionality in the Harrier. Seems to work fine selecting on F10, importing to CAS and designating the targets and fuses. However, I have designated 4 targets and the first three G-38s drop as expected but DCS crashes before the fourth releases. Has anyone else encountered this? I assume it's a bug? Thanks.
-
Well you've convinced me! I'll order it tonight. Thanks bro, I appreciate your time.

Hi, thanks for the reply! I have it at 64.5 but this is arbitrary as I haven't played around with different settings. My CPU is stock speed but it is water-cooled so I suppose it could go higher. Do you think I would notice a huge increase in quality with the Reverb over the Lenovo? And would my specs be good enough to take advantage? I think that would be enough for me to go for it. Thanks..
-
Hi, I've read through most of this thread and now that the Reverb is available on the HP store (UK) the temptation is killing me. I would be very grateful if anybody would be able to answer a couple of questions before I commit. I currently have a Lenovo Explorer which, while it is a wow experience, tends to leave me with a sore head after use. I don't wear glasses yet but I am probably heading that way - would the increased resolution of the Reverb make a big difference to this? - i.e. to anyone who has traded up, could the lower resolution be causing strain and headache? Is it worth waiting for next generation? Is there anything at a similar price likely to beat the Reverb in the coming 6-12 months? I currently use an Ultra-wide monitor (3440x1440@75Hz) and can run DCS with most options on high - is this spec likely to run Reverb at it's highest resolution? Specs: MSI Z170A GAMING PRO i7-6700k @4.01Ghz 16GB DDR4 SDRAM DCS is on a Samsung EVO 970 M.2 card Nvidia Titan XP 12GB Thanks! :)

Can't slew TGP with any precision. What am I doing wrong?
Gerrard replied to parxuk's topic in DCS: F-16C Viper
Yeah, I also have it mapped to a hat switch and it is really sensitive. Try going to Point track mode with TMS up before trying to fine slew - I think it works better for me that way. -
Hi, I'm no expert and I can appreciate people feeling it's underdone - but hey, Ed hold it back and they get 'When's it coming, when's it coming!' Release it early and it's 'Too raw and missing features'.. the old adage you just can't please everyone comes to mind . For me, 30 minutes setting up the axis curves and it feels like I believe an F-16 should. It's great to look at inside and out, and blasting around the Caucus map is a hoot. In a year's time this module will be kick-ass.
-
Hi, well South Korea does have a lot of F-16s and it's a politically interesting part of the world being so close to China and Japan. Would be a great arena for carrier ops for the Hornets and Tomcats with good terrain for mud movers.. But yeah, I wouldn't mind a Balkans map either. :)
-
I was a little unsure at first but decided to persevere over the weekend and boy am I glad I did.. It's really important to get your controller set up properly, and in particular the axis tuning to get the Viper performing the way you think it should. Once that's done there are enough functional systems to destroy both ground and air targets and this is only going to improve with new weapons to come. Thanks ED. Now, all I need is a dynamic campaign and Korean peninsula map and I can die happy.. :)
-
Works fine for me. Make sure the Airfield is set to 'Blue' and the jet is off the runway.
-
Yay!. So it is. :)
-
It's definitely not working properly but the 'slave' usually gives a sort of work-around. However, I've just fired it up again and the Targeting pod camera is slewed 90' to the right even with the 'slave' option reset. A little disconcerting lining up at right-angles! Not tried it with the DMT as the mission I'm using is heavily SAM orientated and so it's exclusively IRMV.
-
Yep, it's the 'Slave' button which must be part of the update as I have not used it before. What is strange though, is that after I've used the TPOD the first time the 'Slave' disappears from the bottom right but still functions (and reappears) when pressed? Oh well, at least it works. Thanks to all.
