Hi folks, As I don't have Track-IR when I do ramp starts I used to press Alt+c so I could look around using the mouse and the yellow cross was there so I could click my systems on and do usual cockpit start up stuff,that was in version 1.09.Now in the latest version I can still Alt+c but the yellow cross is no longer there so I can't click any systems on or off even though you can still look around using the mouse. Does anybody know if it is possible to get the yellow cross back so I can use my mouse to look around while switching systems on and doing the usual or is this not possible? As ever any help is helpful and much appreciated, Mick. :thumbup:

Hi RMK80,even though am quite drunk the now,and had a lot of (smokes)if you know what I mean,congratulation's on your work when you first released it bout,a week or so ago,I have played a few of the roles,always ended badly for me ,obvious, but your idea and choice of roles are second to none,great work bud. information Harzach I think regrettably you have missed his point,I think as a paying customer all he was asking was maybe for some info,like "when it's done it's done" doesn't seem to cut it any more to a lot of people.He wasn't asking for a date or anything but c/mon surely a wee update on the progress of things can't be that extreme?Yes we all know the hard work involved and people have families and other commitments but even some kind of info would,in any form be better than none. ps: don't mean to sound narky,it's meant in good faith bud. :thumbup: Regards, Mick.

mission blues Please don't shoot me down in flames and as I have flown a few really good folks missions which they obviously took a great deal of time making,myself wouldn't know where to start with the ME, To quote Ripcord "There is considerable power in the campaign builder/system that comes with DCS: A10C, just nobody has used it yet to it full potential -- not even close in fact." With the mission designers that have the skills to make these great missions and know how to use "the power" why does it still feel like once a mission is over it's quit and then on to another one? Surely with this "power" by now something could or should have been made to make us not feel this way,no? As I said I don't have a clue about the ME so could just be talking rubbish,but just my thoughts anyway. Regards, Mick. :thumbup:

Honestly thanks buddy I just love reading these forums as the folk you meet are ..just ..well.. "better". In all honestly I could use the clip I made with my eye toy and TBH it does work rather well,but the way I do it at the moment with the ALT+C used sometimes actually works surprisingly well but in no way as good as the real deal.A real HOTAS system would be the dogs BoXXXks though,would certainly stop me getting mixed up with all my button pushing and what modifier to push before I have to push the button,but some day,hopefully sooner rather than later. facetracknoir Cheers lads,but I done all that facetrack stuff but I just don't like the light levels as you sort of need a lamp shining in yer face for it to pick out your face good enough(little bit of exaggeration) but think you know what I mean.I made a 3 point clip for my earphones with some LED's and managed to get that working with either a webcam or my sons eyetoy but still think TIR or nothing,and as cash is in very short demand it's the latter I'm afraid,BTBH I have gotten really used to what I have,obviously TIR would be a lot better but honestly the system I described works really well for me,until I can afford the real deal of course. Hey folks enjoying this wonderful sim since most of my problems got ironed out (cheers Fleshpiston) it may have been suggested before but as I don't yet own a HOTAS system or track IR my latest thing is that as you can press ALT+C to get into mouse movement mode,I have configured this to a button that doesn't get used on my joystick,so when starting up for instance I can switch to this mode as it makes it a lot easier to float around the cockpit flicking switches and the like,also the middle mouse button while in this mode act's as (how can I say) up/down/left/right in height mode,and my button to centralise my view still works in this mode,handy,and it makes it a lot easier and quicker than trying to sweep around using the hat switch,once your finished your start up procedure or whatever,I just press my button and I am back in normal mode: looking with the hat,it also can be useful when your up in the air to look for targets as well. Hi folks, just wondered if any of you have,while clicking on the eagles forum link(mines in my bookmark bar) have got to the link slower than normal,99% of the time there is no problem but every now and then it takes forever,even when all other bookmarks work fine.I know it just isn't me as a couple of friends have said the same thing,anybody have this? obviously it's not a massive problem at all but there must be a reason behind it right? Freetrack Hey folks, Just a little word,I myself had tried to get this to work(freetrack + facetrackernoir)and after making a three point clip and downloading samtheeagles headtracker thingys I could not for the love of god get it to work.After pm's to people eg:Boulund his advice was to double,triple check everything which I did and still couldn't get it to work.A few weeks later while reading another post that mentioned something about when in game with everything downloaded you have to press alt+c (I think) to put the game into some state of operation,that's when it hit me so I tried again and checked everything pressed alt+c and hey presto it worked. Nobody had suggested this before and this was the stumbling block.So if you have tried everything give this a try you never know it just might work.

MP server Hi buddy,you should try out the going ugly server it's available 24/7 with no password,you will find a good bunch of folk doing there own thing or join TS to hook up with somebody,plenty of peeps from your neck o the woods.Even if a mission is playing you could still practice your stuff and it's a great step into the MP zone. campaigns? Hey folks,could anybody please tell me what campaign or mission works? I have 1.0.0.9 and have downloaded the left out campaigns from the user files section but it seems that whatever campaign I fly in all I get is a freeze up,eg: sounds there,but have to use task manager to end task which takes me to the briefing screen.I swear I haven't got through one single mission without this,which can happen 5 mins or 20 mins (doesn't seem to matter)into whatever mission I am flying in. This is obviously THE,or if not,ONE of the best sims on the market and I can put up with the small flaws here and there but TBH this is killing me. Most of the user submitted missions work OK but I would really like to play a campaign,I don't think this is asking too much of this sim. I hope somebody can help me please,thank-you. Appreciate all the help, Mick.

Hey folks,hoping for a little enlightenment please.Last night whilst playing multiplayer I joined mid game and all went well,after bout half an hour a few of us including the server's admin restarted the server for a different mission but my sound level nose dived so that I could hardly hear any sounds even though I could hear the radio comm's and other player's voices,I had to quit as it was impossible to fly with no audio as you could guess. Has anybody else had anything similar? and/or any info how to resolve this? It would be very much appreciated thank you, Regards, Mick. :helpsmilie: PS:Sound was OK in first mission and is fine in SP. edit: All sound in game seems to be a lot lower for some reason not just in MP,tried all settings with sound card, drivers,direct x 9 and settings in game but really at a loss as this only started the other day.Any suggestion's would be grateful thanks. edit: Uninstalled all sound drivers and re-installed all,and works OK.

Thanks buddy for that,I went and downloaded the grey aggressor skin and installed it,this was the first time I had ever installed a new skin but thankfully all the instructions about how to install were there and glad to say it worked. I didn't think to do what you said so I will deffo be looking at more so thanks for the info,and yep your right his skins are really beautiful. cheers Mick. :thumbup:

Hi folk's,after mucking about with lua. settings for view distance and fps I think at least I have the game the way I like it,one thing though,has anybody any idea how I can make the electricity pylons stop disappearing too early? At the moment they disappear maybe 1000m or so from my plane in any direction I look,even though I can still see trees and city's and the like out to about 10000m,everything seems just about right if only these pesky pylons would stay in the picture for a while longer if you can understand what I am trying to say. Didn't know where else to put this,I was wondering what aircraft in DCS A-10 after the plane itself is the most rendered as in the best looking computer wise if ya get my drift. I may be wrong but to me it's the F15C I think. Will this have any bearing in what aircraft there thinking of next? :smilewink:
