  1. I know what you mean by saying it's not possible to jtac the AI but I do get the option for the AI flight to break orbit and attack, but it is there,I know the radio options are something like press f1 for main or f2 for summit else, something like that anyway, whether they attack your "marked"position with the smoke you provided is another question someone better could explain. Only good info I can give you is to double check the radio menu and the f buttons selection, Good luck, Mick.
  2. This CA is really awesome and I think we can see where it will lead to,great things. But there are a few niggles that bother me at present and wonder if they will get fixed at a later date. The fact that you can lock your target through terrain, buildings and the like is quite off putting to say the least and the fact that the AI can see you from great distances through these kind of environments spoils the fun greatly, trees I know and can handle but the rest I hope will get better. All in all for the price I paid I am having a blast with this and have barely scratched the surface as there is so much to learn and hopefully more surprises to come later, but please, please fix the way the AI "sees" you as at present it is nigh impossible to sneak up or to even get close to score a hit, Cheers, Mick.
  3. I tried the exact same thing last night by D/L gimp and gave it a try but the gimp interface just confused me and couldn't get anywhere so uninstalled it,not my forte I'm afraid, So if some good chap could take the pain out of this it would be much appreciated, Cheers.
  4. Just a wee heads up I have been mucking around with CA and the old missions from A-10 including the campaign, also some other missions I had in my A-10 mission folder.Just open them up in the CA mission editor and tick the boxes that let you control the ground units and your good to go,quite a different perspective seeing the campaign I played from the air in A-10 from the ground point of view, still hard as hell tho. lol.
  5. Yep mouse wheel zoom would be a lot better as it is kinda awkward trying to hit Rctrl and either / or * with one hand while using the other on w,s,a,d. lol. Hopefully a lot of our ideas are either making it into final or they have thought bout these things already,it's the little things that go a long way eh? Keep up the good work on an awesome idea chaps, Mick.
  6. It would be great when switching views from isometric view which could opt as a turned out, commander view to a view that is similar to this when firing the gun, rather than actually seeing the gun barrel with the hud.
  7. and ||CaptHawk, Cheers for clearing that up for me chaps, just a little confused was all. Having a blast with this, obviously still a lot of room for improvements but I can see this shaping up to be very nice indeed, brilliant. Mick.
  8. I still don't understand the pre-order thing,if it's not for sale what did I just purchase? :music_whistling:
  9. I have also saw this every time, when you are in the humvee as a recon "jtac" nobody shoots at you and you can move anywhere freely. :noexpression:
  10. Quick work bud,I will give it a try, cheers, now if only we could make the tank overlay a little smaller, hint hint, cough, cough. Thanks guys. Mick.
  11. Cheers Mustang,I saw these but can't see any images it just opens a blank picture? Even If I did see them I would have no idea what to do then. :smilewink:
  12. Awesome work Dragon, looking forward to them incorporating into CA,your work effort to this community cannot be underestimated. Cheers buddy, Mick.
  13. Your kidding right? I was the complete opposite, when I first saw the price I thought it was £30.00, I then noticed it was in $-dollars which is £19.99, What really can you buy these days for this kinda cash? = not very much at all. I remember a post a little while back asking that we should have to pay more for some of the aircraft which I disagreed with as they pretty have it spot on with the pricing system. Also when you saw what Bohemia asked for their flop "take on Hinds" =£10.99 or $17.00, I know what I would chose. Well worth the cash here folks, buy it you wont be dissapointed in the long haul, cheers, Mick. Edit: I am currently unemployed due to a work injury and I can tell you money is very, very tight at the present, but I did not hesitate to buy as I know for this price I am going to have many, many hours of fun and with the sure to come updates and patches we are in for one hellava ride. Mick.
  14. Firstly awesome work ED and to all the testers and others who have worked tirelessly to bring a great experience to this already great series, cheers. I was just wondering how hard will it be for our great modders to "alter" some aspects of this? I know of course it is still a beta and maybe best waiting till final release to see what if anything might be up for modding,I am sure they will be some to work on judging by everyone's different ways of implementation certain functions. I am finding this a lot of fun and have so far had my ass handed to me on a platter a good few times and although I'm just scratching the surface I can already see a good many ways you can have hours of fun with this. One item I would like to see is the disappearance of the kinda "cartoonish" hud with a smaller "tank" direction overlay and the azimuth degrees semi circle at the top of the screen gone, also it would be good if along the lines of the "binoc",view when firing the main gun we could switch to something similar with correct range settings maybe. All in all I think what we have here is a brilliant first step into fighting the ground war incorporating air assets, excellent work guys give yourself a big pat on the back for trying something as complex as this. Mick.
  15. Just a wee message to =STP= Dragon, are you working on any missions for CA? I have played many of your other missions and always had fun so I hope you are buddy. Cheers, Mick.
  16. Anything that adds to the realism gets a  from me,as sound is one of the most imersive parts of a sim,for me anyway. Keep up the great work man looking forward to this. Mick. :)
  17. +1 Sounds good to me.
  18. Ha ha,all those Timmy post's kinda make sense now, poor wee cxxt.
  19. Who is this Timmy guy I've been hearing about?
  20. Nice one. :thumbup::pilotfly:
  21. TBH I'm not worried if CA is not released by the end of June,it's good enough that we know that the release is imminent. If we all start moaning, saying "but they said it would be" then that will probably be the end of further release dates being announced. Better this than no word of a predicted date at all,and also,we can be safe in the knowledge that they are trying to make it as bug free as possible for our sticky little fingers. :joystick:
  22. Sorry it didn't work for ya bud, maybe it's something to do with the version Number, this worked in DCS A10c-1.1.11 but not sure if it works in DCS World or in version 1.1.12. Maybe someone with a little more "know how" could jump in as I would like to know as well,as it is useful to use the mouse look if you don't have Trackir or similar. Anyone? Cheers, Mick.
  23. Hi M8 try and have a look here,Nate gave me a good piece of advice about this a while back and it worked for me. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=81836 Mick.
