I am looking to buy a 4K TV and would like to be able to play DCS on it. I'm currently using an AOC Q2577 monitor as it is also used for photo editing. My system specs are: i5-6600 4.6 GHz, 32GB Ram, GTX960. The Nvidia website says the GTX960 can output 4K but I am not so sure on that as it is one of the lower end cards from recent years. What budget graphics card should I be looking at that would allow me to play DCS on a 4K TV?

1st post shows the Fusion 360 model. An hour later the completed product which looks phenomenal. What is your reasoning for using HE sensors rather than switches?

James, Your pics uploaded fine. I think I see what you are trying to achieve: Print in white and then use a liquid mask used by modellers to fill the embossed areas then spray the panels black to allow for backlighting. Will be interesting to see if that method works. Mark

Brun, Your UFC looks great. Do you think it would be cheaper to print on Shapeways if it was more modular in construction?

After 6 weeks working away from home, I finally got a chance to install the analogue thumb sensor this morning. As others have said, taking your time and following Deltasim's instructions, the install takes about 10 minutes max. The instructions are well detailed and easy to follow. Calibration is also easy to do and again takes no more than 5 minutes.

Lynx is the UFC planned to use LED displays or is it too planned to be back projected? How would the back projecting work where the front faces of the various panels may be at different angles?

Yeah but they have closed the pre-orders so you cannot take advantage of that.

Passing the boat on the upwind leg, when do you initiate your break? If your breaking into the pattern as soon as you reach the bow, extend the upwind leg for between 1 and 1.5nm from the boat before executing your break. This will give you the extra couple of miles range you are talking about giving yourself, but still allow you to turn inbound towards the boat when abeam the hanger door / round down.

My previous employer used Gravoply to make electrical warning signs for 400V switchgear. They used Yellow on black and Red on white. Sheets vary in thickness, but for a top plate you would need one around 2mm thick, and probably an additional white acrylic sheet below that to further diffuse the back lighting. This was based on a test I did shining an iPhone torch thru the back of the Red on White acrylic that had been engraved. Gravoply can be engraved mechanically or using a laser. It also saves time in not having to paint the white acrylic.

If your not in the proper pre contact position, the tanker will tell you to return pre contact. You then need to readjust your position and recontact the tanker to say you are ready pre contact.

I've tried loading DCS a few times since the update was announced this afternoon, but the auto updater hasn't ran. Still have 2.52.18307. I've tried rebooting the PC. Any ideas?

Most CAD packages can switch between metric and imperial fairly easily.

They look really good, bit like a cross between F-16 and 737 pedals.
