  1. I was considering this when it was first announced. However with the price point where it is, if the WinWing Hotas performs as well as it looks, then I will likely use the money towards that and look to sell on my Warthog Hotas.
  2. How do the rails work for moving the pedals?
  3. The YouTube video of the stick shows the gimbal. Looks to be a solid unit of aluminium construction.
  4. Very impressive. That gimbal unit looks superb and very well made.
  5. Thanks, it would be good for a company to make the DDI or MPCD with an actually screen that was sized for them.
  6. I had a look on their website. They make some nice stuff - GA and airliner Sims. One of the things they make is replica Garmin G1000 units.
  7. I currently have a Warthog with the Delta Alpha SIM slew mode. A pro model that has realistic throw for the throttles and proper gates along with using better spec switches would be appealing, however I think that anything more expensive than the Thrustmaster TPR pedals starts to become too much out of reach unless you are building a high end sim. Also the higher the price the less potential customers which in turn drives up costs. I'll be keeping an eye on the Open Hornets throttle design. This might be a way to "upgrade" the mechanics of the Warthog without spending too much more money.
  8. See this thread: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=200198 You purchase a unit from the creator of the thread that replaces the Warthog slew controller with a playstation style joystick. It takes about 5mins total to carry out.
  9. Nine line, As these are 2 separate systems, would it be possible to set up a means of using the bonus points to "purchase" ED miles?
  10. As someone who struggled with PIO attempting AAR, this thread has helped me a lot. Managed to plug into the basket 3 times in a row and even though I didn't maintain contact for more than a few seconds this was a big improvement for me. Having the controls window visible on the screen helped. This showed that I sometimes had split throttles which would cause slight turns. The other thing that helped was the recommendation to back off and approach again rather than attempting to chase the basket. A lot of the time I would find I was 10ft high or 10ft low approaching the basket and would start to porpoise as a result of chasing the basket. Next task is to try and stay connected for more than a few seconds at a time.
  11. Not if they are selling a stand alone Warthog compatible grip. That opens up an additional market for them.
  12. Does anyone have any good AAR training missions?
  13. Good stuff, I can see a visit to Ali Express coming up soon.
  14. John, Thanks for posting up the detailed wiring diagrams. Is your flaps switch an ON-OFF-ON or ON-ON-ON toggle? I’m assuming the others are just standard ON-OFF toggles?
  15. John, I take it bus 1 is left console, bus 2 will be main panel and bus 3 the right console? Does each individual panel require a Nano? If I was to build the gear panel and the flaps / jettison panel I would need 2 Nanos? Mark
  16. The only thing I can think of for the continuing delay to announcing a release date is they are possibly working on a new gimbal.
  17. Well done on the release of the pedal files. They look really good printed.
  18. Both. It’s a lot more accurate and predictable in its movement. With the original at times you didn’t know what it was going to do.
  19. What size is your curved screen?
  20. Thanks again for the info, much appreciated.
  21. Thanks for the info. The TPR are 236mm wide between the outside edges of the pendulum arms and 520mm wide from the outside edges of each pedal. At the narrowest point of the housing they are 147mm wide. How does this compare to the width of the central pedestal?
  22. Will the basic design without the linear actuator and rail be able to accommodate other pedal designs like the Thrustmaster TPR or the Slaw devices range?
  23. I've tried the Poang, and it is a lot more comfortable to use than my desk swivel chair. The only advantage of my desk chair at the moment is that I am eye level with the monitor as it is higher than the Poang. Has anyone seen these from Open Sim Racing that use an Ikea Poang? https://opensimracing.com/products/super-sport-flight-using-ikea-chair-wood-plans http://www.thesimpit.com/en/forum/view_topic/Cockpits-Rigs/201 Their designs seem interesting but I have only seen renderings of them online. It also shows that with a bit of thought and design, some of the ejector seat designs could be modified to provide a solid base for an Ikea Poang.
  24. Any rumours about as to what Thrustmaster or Logitech may be unveiling during CES?
  25. I picked up the TPR pedals during Thrustmaster's Black Friday sale in the UK - the discount brought them down to a more realistic price point for a high end product. I've not had much opportunity to use them but they are by far and away a massive upgrade over the CH pedals I used before. As others have mentioned, the operation of them is much more like that of an actual aircraft. My ability to control the P-51 for instance has improved immeasurably, as has dealing with cross wind take offs etc in the likes of the A-10.
