I came up with this in Sketchup. I've attached the Sketchup files if anyone wants to have a play with it to refine it. dcs.zip

I mentioned this to Debolestis a while back. If he can get accurate dimensions, then he can make the part and put it on his Shapeways shop.

I misread your post. It's the sliding mechanism you want help with. I have an idea how to do this. Make a tray for the pedals that is same width and from same material as box lid. Cut 2 notches on either side of pedal tray at front and back. Make 4 small wood pieces same size as the cut out notches. Place these on the box. The pedal tray notches sit into these. The second set of notches on the pedal tray would allow you to lift and move it to the next position. It's not a sliding mechanism, but should be quite easy to do and would take less than a minute to move the pedals. Mark -

Create a box frame and then put a solid lid on the top. Get Home Depot or similar to cut all your pieces to length to make it easier. As they should all be straight lengths it makes it easier. Not sure best method of joining. -
Obutto R3volution - Joystick extension suggestion
McG replied to Thisdale's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
If you were to get a piece of tubing the same width as the Sahaj or MFG extensions, you could get it cut to the desired length and angled the way you want using a pipe bender. You'd then need to get it threaded at either end. I think Deadman has a real A-10 stick and column. He might be able to post details of the column height and bend angles. Debolestis has a tail piece adapter in his Shapeways shop that angles the Warthog grip forward to get the CoG of the stick sitting over the centre of the gimbal if using a curved extensions -
You want how much for a switch?!
McG replied to Braeden108's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
That's the sort of price bracket that mil spec and aerospace switches fall into. Some will be cheaper, others dearer. -
That's awesome. How much of your sim is functional at the moment?

I'm a potential future customer and the F-16 style pedals would be exactly what I'm looking for. Hopefully they'll be available in the next few months. Regarding the base plate, Milan you could either offer this as a separate item, or offer a PDF with the dimensions of a base plate and the hole centres to bolt the pedals to on it. Mark

The Saitek's are on worldwide back order, hence the high prices. The MFG Crosswinds and VKB T rudders are considered better than the Saiteks.

Thanks for the information. I wasn't aware of the specific differences regarding the sensors.

Sokol, How feasible would a VKB style replacement gimbal be for the Warthog? Mark

It's been blanked out. Probably sent to flightsim review sites, magazines and trade bodies only. -

The choice of venue hints towards the F-18 being part of the line up. Hopefully we will see pedals, and maybe new MFDs with LCD screens. -

Thanks for your help, checked the Visual Studio 2013 C++ redistributables and also updated the AMD driver to a beta version that they have released this month as a last driver for their legacy products. Still getting the same crash to desktop as before. It looks like it's a new graphics card.

Logs attached. I suspect you are probably correct and it may be time for a new graphics card. Logs.zip

I used to have DCS A-10C, P-51D and the Hawk T.1 installed on my PC as individual modules. Not long after Windows 10 was released I installed an SSD as my primary drive. I have only now found the time to start re-installing my DCS modules and discovered that I need to install them from within DCS World 1.5 which I have downloaded and installed. When I run DCS World 1.5 I get an immediate crash to desktop along with a message saying that my graphics card encountered an error and has restored itself. I have tried the various tips for AMD driver crashes on the forum without success. I have an AMD 5450 1GB card installed. This was above the min specs when A-10C was installed as a single module but appears to be below those for DCS World 1.5. Any help with resolving this would be greatly appreciated.

Flight Qualifications Campaign
McG replied to Sabre-TLA's topic in A-10C Basic Flight Training Qualification DLC
Finally managed to get the BFT01 start up done in the time frame without missing anything, and was doing really well at the taxiing till it came to the right turn with the moving fuel trucks. Try again time. While the default training missions are good for guiding you through things step by step, these are really good to see if you've actually learnt anything and can put it into practice. -
Thanks for the info. Hopefully something can be worked out.

After seeing Mr Burns homebrew UFC panel from a mini USB keyboard, I decided to make my own, although I am only using a standard keyboard. I have programmed the macros, and assigned them as UFC keyboard commands in the options menu. All appears to work normally at this point, with the modifiers being added and recognised when I press the key I want to assign a UFC command to. When I go into the sim however, the controls I've assigned to the UFC only work when I use the modifier keys with the assigned key, and don't work when I just use the assigned key. Any help appreciated. Mark

Does anyone know the display sequence that the USAF A-10 East & A-10 West demo teams fly?
