Thanks for confirming  How is the trimming behaving itself? If you don´t touch the trim button the stick is going back to the center? With my testing the stick stays where I released it. (When both MSFFB are connected) When I use 1 msffb I have to push the trimmer button, release the stick, release the button. Otherwise it slams back to the center. Very weird problem which I can´t declare :noexpression: Why is a double msffb stick behaving different than one msffb? /Arthur

Molevitch, I'm afraid there is nothing wrong with your motor cables but there is something wrong in the wiring of your potentiometers. Still not sure about my wiring but tonight I will try to publish some pictures of the connectors from the potentiometers. I think, I hope it is not that difficult. As Peter said: Just mirror everything on the lower msffb Be absolutely sure to assign X and Y on the upper MSFFB and erase X and Y on the lower MSFFB. Do the swap axis checkmark on both MSFFB. This is what I know so far. But still not sure because the stick stays in the position were I left it behind. It seems my trim button (which is the letter T on the keyboard for testing purpuses) isn't really needed. When I fly with one MSFFB it is absolutely needed to push the trim button otherwise your stick goes back to the center position..... So after all: I will do more testing and I will pull off the gear from the lower motors to test what they are doing. To the other pilots: Please be patient in this phase as I told already: I will try to make a more clear manual with more pictures. The good thing is that everything behave the same as in BS2/DCS world. So my first thought: there is something wrong in DCS 1.2.7. is NOT TRUE. /Arthur

I'm very short of time at this moment but I just installed the old -stand alone- BS2 for testing purposes. In here I find the FFtest program....

Unbelievable........

I have plans to publice a good manual specially for de non-electronics guys. At this moment Molevitch and I have some issues and we are afraid some things are changed in the latest version of DCS world. Please have a little patience and watch this topic carefully. /Arthur

Are you using 2 msffb at a time? I have almost the same problem as molevitch. I tried everything in the options menu. When I unplug one msffb joystick one after each other en do a restart of dcs (or a restart of the computer) always the same microsoft force feedback ID is coming back. You can see the ID when you hover with your mouse on Microsoft sidewinder. a long number will appear. When I chance the MSFFB always the same ID is appearing. Looks that's flushing joysticks is not working properly in DCS? I'll investigate further :smartass: Can somebody tell me where the FFBtest program is? Did DCS throw it out?

Does somebody know where I can find the FFtest utility PeterP is using? Can't find it anymore and I'm afraid it was only in the BS stand alone version?
-
Why should you? It is very easy en 2 minutes work. If you use a disk-puller (in Dutch poellietrekker) you can't do wrong. Don't be afraid to damage the gears they are not glued on the axis from the engine.

:):) bear = beer :music_whistling::music_whistling:

I don't think so. In your room you are just alone and it is nice to drink a bear with somebody you just shot down :drink: I have joined very small events and the atmosphere was always terrific and very cozy.

@ Balu: I think you made here a very good point. I didn't realise that when I wrote my post.

Based on my experience, which I had in the past with other kind of projects, the best way is to contact old LLTM participant´s and ask them to join a new LLTM. (Direct communication). My personal reason´s not to join: To busy with family affairs and other hobby´s (Simming is not the main hobby at this moment.) The event was far to expensive for me. The location was not attractive. As earlier mentioned: The ticket system on the website was difficult. On Campgroundvfs.nl the flightgroups were very quick made so I would be "a lone wolf". Maybe the "crisis" is a reason for a lot of people not to join? Just calculate how much money it will cost if you come over from the UK as an example. (The tunnel will be about 160 Euro.....) Maybe the German guys don´t like to come over to the Netherlands? As a matter of fact I think Dutch people has still less problems to speak a different language? But such kind of answers you only get if you speak the participants directly. Maybe the event was to professional? (Just guessing) I see myself just as a n00b in flightsimming. Please, don´t misunderstand me. I´m trying to find some answers for you. I´m not shooting at guys putting a lot of spare time in a beautiful event. I think, after all, you have to make the event more KISS. Nice location (sleep near your rig?) Low cost Low entry Maybe try to change the event a little bit? Some courses for beginners? Teach how to fly a Flanker? Tactics? :smartass: Maybe the event was famous for the "old school" guys (from Falcon5.nl) and isn´t known by the rookies.

Excuse me. Shouting around is not equal to an advertisement. I think what you needed was a good "mond op mond reclame"? Sorry I don't know how to say that in proper English. I just try to find an explanation why the LLTM not succeeded.
-
Thanxs. I will try to post some more pictures so that it will be a kind of a manual for non-technicians. Why don´t you put your warthog grip on your new msffb2*2 stick? CU

Parts.... OK, some guys told me the fun is starting here.......:D Not pictured is my Cougar and some other parts which I still have to collect.

When my favourite sim will have the looks like those pictures I will give up my job and fly the whole day DCS... (and let my wife do the working ;) ) I'm wondering about the system specs for a rig when "EDGE" will come out. Will an i5 processor still be sufficient? Anyway, I believe DCS is the best SIM at this moment. Maybe FSX developers can better move to DCS :pilotfly:

I´m still very happy with my 2011 Prius :D Fuel consumption is very low and.... I have never had any issue with that car. It is extremely reliable compared with all the other European made cars I had. An other very big advantage is that a Prius is a real 4 seater. I´m 1,97 meter long and people have in the back still plenty of space for their legs. This wasn´t the case with the VW, Peugeots, Ford and all the others I had. Ok, it isn´t a sexy car....

? How do you fly choppers with a FSSB? :music_whistling: Don't get me wrong. FSSB or a FCC3 are good mods for Cougar but limited to certain aircraft's. (Based on my own experience and on experience's from other forum members) /Arthur
-
Yes. Thanks. :) I hope BS and SU-25(T) will in the future be updated by a dev team. Those aircraft are to good to be forgotten.

best intel chip for DCS?
ArtMan_NL replied to SuperKungFu's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Why paying so much money for an Intel processor? With a AMD FX-6350 I'm getting framerates of 45 ~ 50 fps. Costs about 100 Euro. My graphics card is a Sapphire 7950 with 3 gig ram and my rig has 8 gig. of ram. I think an Intel i7 is overkill anyway. Most games don't use hypertrading so an i5 is sufficient enough if you want to stay at the Intel camp. /Arthur -
You guys are probably right. I'm practising crosswinds landings and as a n00b I'm stressing the lading gear to much.... Still have a long way to go.....;-)
-
Is it possible to switch it on or off in the SU-25(T)? Reason I asked is that I had an issue that my nosewheel steering didn't work once during a mission. /Arthur

OK, I just got my second msffb2 and ordered at Conrad the engine mount's. Now and then I will work on this wonderful stick if I have some spare time. I was wondering from which car the "CV joint rubber boot" is. Ciao, Arthur
