Of course the Shilka have tracking and detection radar C3V9OXKa3Vs

The scenario/mission loading time is very long the first time (more than five minutes for the 104th server, and about 4-5 minutes for my own server), in the first case I had a timeout message, the second time loaded faster (looks like the mission was already saved in the cache folder) In my own server, the loading bar stucked for about three minutes in "loading terrain objects" the first time.

Terrific! I called all the squads to be there!

Anyway, unless the enemy be a complete rookie, doesn't matter the distance, you will miss with russian missiles in DCS at any distance, the only kill achivement is with an IR at close distance, and unnoticed by the enemy aircraft. If the enemy release any chaff or flares, or simply make a barrell roll, forget it.

If you dont want to wait for the update, edit the wingman loadout in all the Su-33 campaign missions to not exceed 29,000 Kg, they will always takeoff from the long lane in the carrier.

I make a new monitorsetup.lua file, in this case with the right MFD, and placed it below the cockpit HUD in the SU-27, with a size and height that not overlap the instruments, when I want to read the HUD simply switch the MFD to HUD, problem solved. :pilotfly:

The other problem I found with AWACS: is giving the BRA to russian aircrafts is miles and feet. I tested the mission in the RED side using SU-27 and SU-33. The AWACS callsign was Magic

It's possible to survive the R-60, and happened in real life in Angola 1987, you can find the info in the link below https://www.dailymaverick.co.za/article/2011-12-09-dreamwings-a-paraplegic-pilots-hope-of-circumnavigating-the-world-for-reconciliation/#.WahNjD7yhQI

Yeah, it was hilarious for me too, in those details one can see the realism of being in the air for 3 or 4 hours, with all the stress it entails. Just waiting for the ATC clearance to land in Sukhumi, I had to wait for more than 30 minutes hovering!. :pilotfly:

Was a great event!, thanks to Ironmike, the organizers and the 104th squad for make it possible. By the way, I was shot down by a ground unit and I completely forgot that I had another life available! :D

Moltar you did a superb job as ATC, it was not easy to be the ATC of all the blue aircraft in several airports at the same time! hat off mate!.

Im talking about the Kh-31A, not the 41
-
But the current SU-33 have SVP-24 installed. And wikipedia says that the Su-33 can use the Kh-31A, who knows the reality behind all Su-33 with SVP-24 “Gefest” system

Hi, has someone noticed the lags after the new update? We were only 12-15 pilots flying yesterday in the 104th, and the lag was horrible, every missile launch was continued by a 3+ seconds lag, sometimes the lag took about 10-15 seconds and many people were disconnected by time out

IMHO, Oculus and the other VR sets are not ready for DCS, the instruments resolution is really bad, even the HUD bearing is not visible unless you move your head forward to read the number, the ABRIS lines and data inside are almost illegibles. The solution I did, was to place the right and left MFD in the MonitorSetup.lua overlapping to the lower right and left corner of the HUD to make them visible. For other games like Elite Dangerous and most of FPS is perfect and very inmersive. I think will be ok for DCS when Oculus and the other VR sets, deliver a resolution of 1920 x 1080 each eye

Amazing, thanks for the tool! I have to draw the same in a whiteboard in every lesson of F-15 radar for new pilots in the 71st Squad! :D

Two days ago I shot down a F-15 with a R-73 in WVR combat, launched off boresight, the missile turned 160 degrees back! will post the tacview video tonight
-
That's my point, in ED is wrong the way that they simulated the use of the R-77, that is mandatory to lock a target in SNP2 to launch the missile to two targets, the real R-77 launch mode should be like the F-15 TWS, not STT. But no one have information about, as GG told me a while ago, only a couple of seconds of one video.
-
AFAIK reading several articles, the R-77 have D-link to make the corrections during the INS flight
-
That is not true, you dont need to STT any target to launch a missile that will be guided to an aproximate point using INS and his own radar in the final stage (pitbull), what is the point to STT one target if you will launch two missiles to differents aircraft? absurd, they did that in DCS because the logic used in all the FC3 russian aircraft use STT, thats all
