Guys are you experiencing problems with the MIG-21 drag chute? Apparently the compressed air that ejects the parachute, is being wasted before landing. -
THe only thing I know is that the drag chute is not opening now.

delete default.ini and rename default_trackir.ini as default.ini
-
files Ok I attached two files, the RAR contains mio.ini, this are my curve settings for FTNoIR, the other one default_trackir.ini will sustitute the default.ini file at C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\Config\Input\Aircrafts\Default\trackir because the FaceTrack is not officially supported by DCS, and with the default file you can turn your head only 90° right and left. With the one I attached, you can turn your head and look back in both sides default_trackir.lua mio.rar

In fact I use the same DCS profile for ARMA, War Thunder in simulator, Elite Dangerous, etc, even using a 3D TV with Elite and the polarized glasses on! Will send you my profile later attached in a post, but was adjusted for the WebCam in front of me, and below the TV set. I have two monitors, one is a 50" TV set as main screen, and below over a box with the rudders pedals I have another 23" monitor, the WebCam is above this secondary monitor.
-
Yes, in fact if you will use the face recognition, will need to adjust the curves for a while until you get the best head movement, for me is enough with FTNoIR and the face recog option, but is not accurate as the LED option..
-
Yeah really and in high res, watch the wings manual angle regulator in the left side panel by the flaps buttons, can be moved from 16° to 72° back.

Take a look at this 360 degrees cockpit of an original MIG-23ML http://panoramy.zbooy.pl/360/pan/kijow-mig-23-kokpit/e Watch the SPO-10 variant of eight leds in the left side of the front panel, attached to the canopy junction
-
Terrific, the 98 version can launch R-27 and R-77 with the new radar Sapfir-23 upgrade. And I think have the standard SPO-15 Beryoza and not the original SPO-10 of the MIG-23ML

I really think that DCS F-5 is not properly modeled in scaling, I have seen IRL F-5 here in Mexico with all the details flying 3-4 miles away, in DCS you will see only a pixel until they are at 1.2km from you, and is the moment that the aircraft becomes from a pixel with a smoke trail into a visible shape. IMHO Watch the video in 1080p (minute 2:50), and the distance to the target in the ASP meter below the HUD, it sucks!, thats why the F-5 pilots in DCS use their eyes to find the enemies easily with the radar turned off https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P48y6XSOx2k

Red Flag Rumble - Mig21 vs F5 - Round 2
JunMcKill replied to 104th_Maverick's topic in Tournaments & Events
I think you've confused me with someone else, I would never say such stupidity, like I've "won competitions" etc, in fact I've lost all of them in MIG-21! :D By the way, the F-5 visibility is far from RL, doesnt care what some F-14 pilots said blah blah, I'm talking by my experience, not the others one, In Mexico we have F-5, and I can discern their shape perfectly 3-4 miles aways, while in DCS is only see a dot until 800 meters distance, that sucks! =EDP 71st= Rush -
Red Flag Rumble - Mig21 vs F5 - Round 2
JunMcKill replied to 104th_Maverick's topic in Tournaments & Events
The MIG-21 has no equal A2A missile to the AIM-9P5, the R-60M nor the R-3R can be compare to them, at the same time, the visibility of the MIG-21 from the F-5 is perfect with the smoke tail, but is almost impossible to see a F-5 beyond 1 km, the F-5 pilots know that they can exploit the MIG-21 radar, flying low due the ground clutter. Did you read the statistics of the last match? We will need all the luck of the world to kill a F-5 in air to air. -
Red Flag Rumble - Mig21 vs F5 - Round 2

Please Mav, let the MIG-21 use everything in A2G ordnance but nuclear, I have been testing all bombs and rockets againsts the units of the previous mission, and they do almost nothing to the ground units but the R-24A, is the only that works! The rockets S-5 had to almost launch all of them (96) to destroy ONE UNIT! :D and I talking of BRDM units, not tanks! -
Ah sorry, as IASGATG noted, the next line is the thrust in each stage, should be measured in newtons (N) this is the AIM-7M with the two stages -- t_statr t_b t_accel t_march t_inertial t_break t_end 0.0, 0.0 , 30645.0, 5194.0, 0.0, 0.0, 0.0, -- thrust and this is the R-27R with only one stage 0.0, 0.0 , 25620.0, 0.0 , 0.0, 0.0, 0.0, -- thrust 6000 by doc If you want to convert the newtons to Kg-force use this: http://www.convertunits.com/from/newtons/to/kilogram-force
-
Reading the missiles_data.lua, they have differences in the burn time and thrust R-27R (one stage motor six seconds accel) -- t_statr t_b t_accel t_march t_inertial t_break t_end -1.0, -1.0 , 6.0 , 0.0, 0.0, 0.0, 1.0e9, -- time interval AIM-7M (dual-thrust solid rocket, 3.26 seconds accel and 10.86 march ) -- t_statr t_b t_accel t_march t_inertial t_break t_end -1.0, -1.0 , 3.26 , 10.86, 0.0, 0.0, 1.0e9, -- time interval The difference in the thrust, it's 25620 (R-27R with 11.3 kg/sec flow rate) vs 30645.0 (AIM-7M with 11.8 kg/sec flow rate)

Operation "Blue Flag" - 24/7 PvP Campaign - ROUND 9
JunMcKill replied to gregzagk's topic in Multiplayer
The problem is not the SU-33, but the availability of all missile types in the russian carrier, they should edit the kuznetsov storage and leave only the R-27R, T, 73 and R-60, thats all. -
Hi Guys the 71st have not enough pilots for this event in the given dates, we cant attend it

My test was made in single player, what lag are you talking about? And the test was not in tacview, is a third person view in DCS with the data in the bottom bar, full bags and weapons reaching a peak of 14.4Gs with no damage to the airframe, have you seen the video? -
QED what we all knew a while ago in the hard way, CTRL-E three times! :D
