Where is the power switch for the radar altimeter? I have just started using the ME to do some fun stuff and cant remember how to power up the RA, read it here once but cant find it now. Also I can bring the pilot gun sight down but cant get the reticle powered either. Brain fart. Thank you.

IAS=what the airplane is feeling TAS=what the aircraft is doing GS(ground speed)=how fast the airplane is going from point A to point B

Just my 2c, I haven't had any problems with 1.2.6 . I usually only play SP though. When I have played MP under this patch I have noticed some stuttering and MUCH lower fps.

Anyone else experience this? Playing Mt. Elbrus rescue UH-1H. Paused game to speak to she who must be obeyed. Upon resuming the mission all sound was gone. Restarted mission and no sound at all. Is there a mute key binding that I could have hit? The only button I pressed was the Pause/Break key .

My 2c. Its not cheating. There are so many other aural and visual cues you get in a real cockpit rather than sitting in front of a computer screen with a track IR on your face. And if you dont own a Track IR padlocking is even more necessary.

Any reason I shouldn't uninstall A10C 1.1.1.1. ?

Just fly the airplane. The A-10C was not certified under FAA regulations as a commercial aircraft. This aircraft was built as a combat attack aircraft, not a penny pinching, FAA/lawyer number satisfying aircraft. rotate at 150 and land at 150.. that should do it, one pilot, not much gas, i have never had a problem. Numbers do not make it fly, a pilot does. Do you understand what a pilot is?

Warthog, Saitek pro combat pedals and Track IR5 is what I use. Been simming since FS 5.0, Falcon 3.0 and Secret weapons of the Luftwaffe. Also a RL professional pilot and this is the best setup I have found for maximizing the control of a computer simulation short of a level D simulator. Have fun!

Happened to me a few weeks ago, I just went into Options-Controls and cleared and re-assigned all the red entries, works fine now.

Probably been asked before but my search turned up nothing i was looking for. Is there a list anywhere in the documentation of all the usable navaids in DCS world? VOR's, TACAN, and NDB's? Would be useful in the Huey. Thank you.

Just like it says, please include a radar altimeter in a future update. Would be useful, the real machine had it in there for a reason. Thank you for a great product!

ADF is modeled, just used it today in single mission. Tuned to 353 and tracked it back home.

I would have liked to see the hornet out before anything else as well. F15 and 27 seem too limited. But, that being said I have never faulted DCS for the quality of any of their products and will most likely get the F15. The huey kind of disappointed me with the $50 price tag so that one will remain on the shelf. Thanks for the great work and updates ED!

1. Why is my hud on the SU-25T and the A-10C not the pretty translucent green glowing lines but more of just plain monochrome green lines. I have seen others' screenshots and my hud does not look anything like theirs. I have HDR off, would that be it or is it a video card specific thing? 2. I dont remember seeing this in the patch notes. Did they tune the engine sounds in the cockpit of the SU-25T, i can barely hear the engines now, used to be pretty loud. Also, I have heat blur turned off but still get it in the toad. Thanks

Think of it this way. The propeller maintains a CONSTANT speed, yes, but the pitch varies depending on your demand (read Manifold Pressure). Look at what happens when you reduce manifold pressure enough, the prop RPM falls off, why? Because it has fine'ed out the pitch to the point of maximun fineness so it can only fall below the RPM of what you have selected. The engine is doing everything it is supposed to do. :)

Ill tell you what I have noticed. Maybe it was in the version before, not sure. P-51, gun run, when you hit grass or earth normal gun effect, when you hit concrete or asphalt, you get sparks that fly like a disintegrating bullet. Pretty cool!

Yes, they are very wrong, noticed this for a while. Its a very minute detail since we are not really conducting instrument approaches very much but an annoying detail none the less.

Also you should be touching down no more than 1/3 of the way down the runway. You cant expect to stop on concrete when you try to milk a nice landing and end up putting rubber on the concrete with 2000ft left. Just put the thing down, you dont get paid extra for a greaser.

Rotate at 140 KIAS and you will be fine. Ur not carrying 1,000,000 pounds of passengers, cargo and fuel, just 55,000 lbs. max of gas and weapons, lol
