Im used to the FC 1.12 version of the editor and I was able to use satellite view to better place static objects on flightline etc. For the life of me i cant find the satellite view toggle in the FC2 editor. Is it still available? Oh and in load out screens we used to could see the preview of the paint scheme, is that also gone? Thanks

ok, Went back to store site and went to downloads. it remembered me i guess and i was able to just get the initial setup file from the FTP site. ( i used the torrent at the bottom last time because the FTP downloads kept giving me a pop up about loging in to a server that i couldn't log on to) anyway going for reinstall now and will post back. thanks for the idea Rakov -

Sure I guess, how quick it will be i dont know. the two setup.bin files are still there. will the torrent downloaded only re-download just what is missing? -
I had LOFC2 running great and was doing some X-52 programing in game. Had to take a break for the night. Next day had to do a system restore to try and fix an ongong problem with my MTP device mp3 player and WMP 11. Now i come back to finish up with x-52 set up and my LOFC2 shortcuts are gone and I cant find any .exe file in the install folder. If this is similar to DCS maybe someone has run across this before? The main setup.exe is also gone from the downloaded file location. What to do next? Thanks

also purchased and downloading, had to use the bitorrent file as the other FTP sites kept asking me to log on to the FTP.ru server. wouldnt take my logon no mater what i did. Bitorrent is avg about 390 kbps with about 1hr 20 min left. it did hit 7hundred something a couple times.

Thats a lot of posters that you are calling whiners. I dont remember seeing R-77 or R27ER threads, just the 120s. Maybe the russian fourms? Using the FBP in lomac, over 6 missions 2 F-15s vs 2 Mig-29s, Medium and Low alt, all expert AI, head on, far dist. (24 miles) I got these results Med alt 120 30% hit rate vs R-77 42% hit rate Low alt 120 14% vs R77 45% At very high alt both scored 100%. How can this be if the 120 and 77 use the same flight model? ECM capibilities? Anyway, I just hope that 2.0 is true to the attempt at simulation as best as can be done.

Superior in real life- yes. in lockon- no. The many locked threads concerning the 120 are the proof in the pudding so to speak. The dive tatic, please. Gravity is there to help the 120. its not like the mig even beamed to make the 120 have to turn. Not to mention the aprox 15nm where the shot was made head-on. Never mind. we dont need another thread on the inferrior modled superior 120.

roger, thanks

toliet paper bug? must be accronym for shi+y Aim 120 still. Just russian fantasy coming through again. Thier game, thier rules... whatever. Loadout screen reminds me of falcon 4. Love the eye candy of lomac so far, hope it is as good or better in 2.0. voice-over reminds me of console games. What good is a US fighter if you cut its baIIs off anyway. dissapointing but i guess if I was russian like ED, I would do the same. Go red. (lol)

Improve your X52 precision with this MOD
markriley replied to Pilotasso's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Hi Mike. you arent able to see any of the pics in the previous post (#68 )? I had went back through the thread and reposted the pics and all but 4 came through (5 of 2009) and they are still viewable now on my msn browser. If you cant see them I can see it they will save and then e-mail them to you, except for the 4 that i dont see. let me know. If you want the 4 missing ones i cant help there. -
I'm glad I found this thread. I have been wondering about some of those same projects. I guess with the whole simmod situation and DCS attracting more attention from the modders, lock-on may start to see less and less new mods. I hope its not that way yet. As far as lively bases go, Thomas D over at lockonfiles makes some really active missions with lots of vehicles and units in action from your take-off to your landing. lots better emersion I think. not to mention the weather and time of day lighting he chooses. Would like to see that 15E and that airbase mod with the tire tracks come to pass.

Ok guys, I'm attempting to multiquote all the posts with images in this one post. I can see the images on the forums in my MSN browser and I can see them here in this re-post. Let me know if they come through on your end. If not, I may be able to save the pics and insert them in a new post. -

Great Mod Very cool find there Pilotasso. Works very good at getting rid of the physical "dead zone" that is inherent with the stick. Big Mac, just a guess but maybe that square flat metal piece you have on top of the magnet is causing a problem with the magnetic field. I just stacked the two magnets on each other and even though the clearence is very close to the sensor, it works really good. Thanks for the work here Pilotasso. Between this and Teka Teka's mods for "no popup trees" and "structures visibility mod" , I can really enjoy lockon again in the A-10. -
So many great mods in the works to choose from! Man this is going to be quite a task to get all these mods to work together. We all know that we cant just choose one. they are all too good. What to do.

TV review of DCS:BS 11/06/07
markriley replied to rattler's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
When you start your post like that it does add an overall negative view to your whole post. Thats why you got the responses you got. -
Well I could go see about it but its really just pointless. We know (as you have said) that the 22 has its problems and is more expensive than they hoped due largely to number built/ordered much less than original number projected {same cost to develop divided by less planes made= more per plane} But the 22 is still the best around and no one would want to be in the sky against one. That to me says it all. I still love the 15s and will even after they are gone, but I expect the raptor and the F-35 variants to be the main stay for the future of our military for the next 30 years anyway. Peace to all while we wait for Grandsurfs new mod and possible patch 1.13

Do you have a link for us please? I searched on the Air Force Times site for the article but havent found it yet.
-
The info I read on F22fighter.com (if you scroll down to the bottom of the history tab ) shows the Raptor costing only $84 Mil each. they even mention "not the 200 mil sometimes listed" What is this structural flaw that would cost $100 mil to fix when they can just build a new jet for $16 mil less? link: http://www.f22fighter.com/history.htm Scroll down to bottom "how can we afford the raptor" section.

Hate to see them down like that. Truth is that they are close to 30 years old (and still my favorite jet) and not really the top dog anymore. I hated to see the F-14s go and God forbid the day it happens to the 15s. These days, with the F-22s scoring 60 wins to zero losses against some of the best 15 and 16 pilots the US has to offer, I wouldnt feel safe in any plane other than the raptor. Love them 15s ever since I was 12 years old at Castle AFB, CA. Hope they keep them going for several more years to come.

Beautiful work. Looking forward to it very much.

Any updates on this mega mod progress? thanks

Im just curious as to what may have caused it to break. It worked fine a week or so ago. I could look into sky and see 150 fps give or take a few, very slight movement. now its just all over the place and even get a negative sign sometimes. wierd. Not really worried about the FPS counter as much as what caused the problem that might be causing other problems I havent noticed yet.
