  1. I've heard from someone who works the warbird flightline that an A6M2 and an Fw-190 may be there this year. I live like 10 miles away, so it's easy to drop in. There's serious road construction going on in Oshkosh this year, so we'll see how that works. ZF-
  2. Yeah, it seems to happen a lot. I flew this mission three times. Once with the T and the other two with the vanilla 25. Every single time the nose was shot off. It doesn't seem to slow the plane down much. My landings were a bit hot. I can't tell for sure by much, since the airspeed guage fails from this (nice touch). ZF-
  3. Here's what a platoon of Marders did to me... ZF-
  4. Yeah, I've never used that "feature" on the X52. I've setup the number keypad for slewing, and it seems to work well enough. I've just got to quit hitting the "5" button and accidentally re-centering it. I use the actual arrow keys for trimming. I know there's the front hat on the stick I could use for some of this, but it's a bit awkward for me to use and I like using the other one for looking around. ZF-
  5. Gotcha. Sometimes it's so simple you don't think of it. It probably makes panning around in the external views interesting... ZF-
  6. Having loved the vanilla Su-25... Being able to fly some of the earlier models. MiG 21, 23/27 and 35 would be a blast. Maybe being able to fly in a 1980s environment... ZF-
  7. So how do you get the ministick off of mouse mode? I used to use it to slew on the X45, but can't on the X52. Maybe I'm a bit slow... ZF-
  8. I first came across the other day with the German Marders. My only question (as reiterated before) would be how well a gunner using the optics on any given IFV can acquire a (relatively) fast moving fixed-wing aircraft. I know on the M2/M3 the commander has an external sight and Stalevar mentioned an AA setup for the BMPs, so those are feasible. But does this work across the board? ZF-
  9. Agreed. I find flying gunsight-only refreshing, and enjoy going on the analog instruments. You really gotta look at the console to see what you're gonna drop. (and remember what you loaded on which racks) Vanilla 25s are a blast. ZF-
  10. Any info on the two lost to ground fire in 1974? One site I looked at only mentioned a Cat damaged by ground fire during the final pullout from Vietnam. ZF
