  1. Where's the repair feature? thx
  2. Don't forget some of the free stuff out there like the A-4. Being an older plane, it's relatively simple to get systems up and working. F-5 is in a very similar class.
  3. It would probably help if for every plane the right path name is listed somewhere up front.
  4. Perfect. Thanks a lot.
  5. I'm trying to install skins for the 16, but am having no luck. I'm trying this folder: C:\Users<UserName>\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Liveries\F-16C I've tried F-16C and F-16CM bl.50 for folder names but none work. Any help? Thanks.
  6. I don't think padlock works in the Viggen. Maybe you could move it there, too.
  7. Great to have. I used to watch these guys at their base all the time with 16s and back when they also flew F-4Ds.
  8. After much struggles, I finally got my Mavs to work. It's all about SOI. Get the right screen highlited and everything works. Now I just need to assign a button for the zoom. :)
  9. I was very nose-down at low speed at one point. I couldn't pull out of it then. Almost no elevator response. I do know how to work throttle and stick on landings. Throttle: sink rate Stick: speed
  10. I do wish this and the 16 had a toggle airbrake switch. I hate wasting a two position switch on my throttle for the brakes.
  11. Yeah, but speed didn't come up fast enough, as I recall. Just giving her a little more respect.
  12. I've gotten into trouble with the Vipe on my final when I had my speed around 250. It tends to get sluggish and I couldn't even pull out of my dive. Now I tend to take my last turn at corner speed. It all bleeds off pretty quickly when the throttle is down.
  13. It seems the same to me whether SOI or not. Movement is pretty "coarse".
  14. Yeah, they'll kill full sized MBTs like cupcakes.
  15. Yeah, never ran it that way, so who knows? I tend to not use CCRP, though I get the usefulness of it. Never tried it before using LGBs.
  16. I wiped out almost 2 platoons of AFVs with one pass using the 16. Works for me. ${1}
  17. When the 18 came out, all we had were rockets and dumb bombs. At least we can start with LGBs here.
  18. You're the one claiming nobody's enjoying it. Clearly BS.
  19. Don't buy it. Get on with your life. Leave the rest of us alone.
  20. Pilots named it after the Vipers in Battlestar Galactica.
  21. I'm actually loving the early access version of the 16. I'm able to learn the systems slowly as they come out. I've never dropped an LGB before in any other plane, so that was neat. I just need to start to develop the air-to-air skills. I've always been partial to mud-moving. The CBU-97s were amazing. I wiped out a bunch of armor on one pass. On the replay, all the charges were exploding in the air over the tanks. I'm assuming explosively formed projectiles.
  22. One thing I've noticed is that the Viper is a bit of a dog at low speeds (250 kts). If I make my final diving turn to the runway on final at that speed, I can't guarantee I can even pull out of the dive. I've kept my final turn at corner speed and that helps a lot.
  23. I'm happy with it so far. Did a bomb, rocket and strafe mission last night, without too much issues. Still need to get my stick/throttle fully set up. I figure lots of the F-18's work will bleed over to the 16. (ground radar...). This seemed a natural next plane after the Hornet. Funny, between the 18, A-10, Harrier and F-16, the MFDs all look similar but seem to operate differently. Can't wait for a bunch of skins to come out.
  24. A minor-ish one... But significant to the markings nerds. There's no national insignia on the tops of the wings, but there is one on both the bottom wings.
