  1. Hello, we use the stable DCS World version. So now it's 1.5.2. Greg
  2. Creates issues in Farps due to the number of players. During ramp, choppers will occupy slots in the Farp and can collide with others that will join during that time. Much more possible than the low end computer scenario so we preferred that solution.
  3. Hello, what do you mean? You were in the ground commander slots? Didn't notice anything like this yet as the map is set to "My AC only". Thanks in advance. Greg
  4. Hello adding files to check some crashes we had during Multiplayer sessions in the stable version. DCS World 1.5 stable version Multiplayer Players in the server at the moment of crash: ~40 Link: http://www.foinikas.org/ftp/public/DCS_World/Buddy%20Spike/bugreports/373vFS%20Server%20logs.rar Thanks in advance. Greg
  5. Yes there has been some changes in order to increase stability. Needs some more tweaking. It should be ok soon as Xcom is on it. Greg
  6. Yes, you propably tried in the 10 minutes downtime in which we uploaded a new version of the mission to test. Greg
  7. Fixed that also, thanks a lot! Greg
  8. Thanks! Yes something messed up in the warehouses after the update. Fixed it and will upload it in the next mission restart (~1.5 hours). Greg
  9. There are many things you have to consider when you put up an event like this. First we want to keep the NATO vs Russian feeling on the FC3 fighters as this create hype and a healthy competition between the squadrons. Then by monitoring the performance of the 2x sides during the previous rounds there wasn't a moment where Blue dominated or the opposite even if there were posts like this (propaganda :D). You can check the stats (losses, aircraft used etc). The rounds were won by different conditions each time, such as more dedication of some pilots flying more and effective missions during day and night etc. Which is what it should be like. So by having the nice feeling of the war between different types of fighters and by keeping it balanced we see no reason of changing it for now. This is for the FC3 fighters. For the other modules there is a totally different situation. Along with the gameplay you have always to keep a level of balance and motivation to join both sides. So for example by having A-10C and KA-50's which are the most popular modules in only one side then you create problems. There are no other modules compared on the systems these modules have. Then there comes the problem of loadouts. SU-25T is the only SEAD capable aircraft (meaning the long range missiles). MiG-21 was the aircraft which was much anticipated and we didn't feel ok to have it only in one side as then some pilots won't be able to use it. For the M2KC there are a lot of stuff. This figher is new and really famous along the pilots and can be a multirole with the latest addition of the buddylasing. So by having an aircraft like this in one side when it can drop LGB's in targets that are lased by the AI JTACs (autolasing script), fighting Air to Air etc won't be a good idea IMO. My squadron for example would go Blue (+20 active pilots...) instantly. :D Along with the fact that both MiG-21 and M2KC were used by many countries in real life it doesn't feel unrealistic. Xcom will post soon the status of the testing phase along with some good news we have in the Buddyspike team. See you in the server :) Greg
  10. Did it mostly to have different colours in each side. Will check it again ;) The stress testing should hold for about a week. If all goes well then we can announce a starting date. Currently we must see all aspects that can affect stability as 1.5 is quite different than the previous version. Greg
  11. Yes. Unfortunately had to do that way cause the time the mission was built in the 1.5 we didn't place any country that has different skins in the red side. So we are forced to use Russian Mirages 2000C with the default skin (French). :(
  12. No, it is available in both sides like all modules except the SU-27's,MiG-29's & F-15C's which are divided in Red & Blue. Mirages in Blue side have the UAE skin and the Red side the French ones. 1st post updated with the new registrations and changes Greg
  13. Copy that thanks  No worries, AIM-120 is not available also. At this point it won't give you back your lives but will have impact in a total number of MIA/KIA pilots of each side which can lead to a defeat. Copy that :) No worries he means the dedicated VEAF slots ;)
  14. Hey Pikey, Your squadron is already registered and you can register your newest pilots names here. I will then edit the first post. Any of your members that didn't already, can register also to http://www.buddyspike.net to monitor tactics etc. I think you should join again as Blue side if I undestand correctly your question. Your squadron did a great job in the previous rounds and kept the level high. We will try again to monitor and take care the balance between the two sides pilot numbers and active squadrons if any problem occurs. Greg
  15. At the moment you should be able to load a JTAC unit with a chopper through the F10 Menu/CTLD. Then you have to place/drop it in a location in which it can gain line of sight on enemy units. If all works ok it should start sending messages, pop up smoke and lase targets. Greg
  16. Thanks all for registering for the first time or for coming back! :) The stress test mission is on the works and will be up in the server from today. As there is a bug of the current DCS versions that propably can cause the server not to be visible in the servers list, you can check its availability through our realtime map webpage: Realtime Map page: http://opblueflag-buddyspike.rhcloud.com/ Buddyspike's webpage: http://www.buddyspike.net Twitch channel: http://www.twitch.tv/buddy_spike Server IP for direct connection: 147.102.19.134:10308, No password Mission's Changelog since the last round: - Added Mirages 2000C slots - Edited some aircraft numbers in airbases, reduced dedicated aircraft slots - Air to Air missiles limitations (No AIM-120C, R-77, R-27ER, R-27ET available) - A-G weapons limitation (No CBUs, Nuclear bombs available ) - Added fortification units ( road outposts, 2x bunkers & armed tower) in cities on their central roads - Added Ciribob's CSAR script (modified to save the total number of MIA/KIA & rescued pilots in a file) Currently no CSAR choppers available in the server - Added Ciribob's CTLD script for troops transport and JTAC for autolasing To do: - Tweaks on positions & numbers of ground units - Test a WIP fuel consuption system on airbases - Edit aircraft number on airbases (possible removing dedicated slots based on stability tests) - Add CSAR choppers in the mission - Test MP stability of the new features (CSAR, JTAC, Numbers of units) - Add day/night versions of the mission file As in the previous rounds, depending on the server performance we may have to add or remove features in the mission. Please be patient if the server needs to go down and up again quite often in order to host new features or edit possible bugs. Thanks in advance.
  17. Thanks! Done :)
  18. Currently on hold unfortunately due to scripting engine issues. We are working on something new though to host until it's playable again :smilewink: Greg
  19. Hey, sorry for the delayed reply. No sorry. Not in the do list yet. Maybe in the future. Greg
  20. IMO the problem is not based on the theaters (like NTTR). The problem is on the gameplay that DCS offers. We will see less servers or less populated servers in the Caucasus map also if it continues like this. Since NTTR release you could see thousand of free flight screenshots showing where this could lead. Same happened when 1.5 was out. We all are excited when something is released. Things are easy in the single player or free flight enviroment. You hop in,fly around, test new features & capture screenshots. But in order to have also the ability to enjoy the combat & MP experience some people have to setup stuff for the community (mission designers, organisers). When they start to put their hands on these new features they face many issues. The biggest are the bugs & continues changes of DCS World during the mission designing. (scripts, triggers, API etc). You can say it's BETA but this remains a long time issue. Another but highly important issue is that DCS should offer a better gameplay for Multiplayer by providing the feeling to the players that they have something like a career. Dynamic & persistant war scenarios should be there. Same mission scenarios over the years don't make the difference and eventually people don't get motivated to join again after some time. You need something to drag you in by motivating you to join the server and help your side to complete its longterm goals. Mission designers now are wasting a great amount of time to reach close to a point like this. And that can force them to stop due to less free time. Without them there are less missions & servers on. Sadly we don't see an improvement in this area. Lots of new modules comes out but if you don't get motivated to use them properly in Multiplayer, which is for many people a high priority, then I believe we will see the results that the topic mention. Greg
  21. Still waiting for many many fixes from ED :) Blue Flag on the current built will be a mess unfortunately.
  22. Thank you Derk. Merry Christmas to you too. It was a great time for us all. See you in the next events, stay tuned  Greg
  23. No need to. Just copy your mirage files inside the server without activating it. It just needs to be installed, not activated. Tried it and it work ok so far. :) Greg
  24. Nice. Now we only have to test if anything else shows up but that was the biggest issue.
  25. +100! This is the most important thing, not only for CA but for all modules in order to get the most out of them
