Really dissapointing to hear, I refuse to deal with Starforce after having them hijack my drivers for previous products.

A steam version would be appreciated, and putting Black Shark 2 on steam would also bring in some new blood. If not, then a non-steam compatibility patch would also work.

Good thread! I've never really read my solid information on engaging targets before. Are there any good guides to read? Generally I hang just outside of missle range and search for stuff before moving in to destroy. I kill ranged threats, then tanks, then move in to destroy remaining stuff with cannons. Still can't get enough of the game, when I actually have enough energy and focus to play it.

Just buy TrackIR, for anyone playing a sim at this level there's no reason not to. Money can be a factor if your a kid / unemployed, but $150 isn't that much.

I added you the other day Wobbler, I'm still getting used to things myself, but I'm able to take off and kill things pretty effectively. If you want to know how to do complex moves I'm not the man to ask, but if it's just getting off the ground and completing missions - I can help.

I found learning alone very satisfying, it's not as hard as you might first think. Even the take off procedure is pretty easy to learn, however I can understand wanting to learn with someone else. If you're on steam, PM me your username so I can add you. Perhaps we can fly together. If you don't have TrackIR yet, strongly consider picking it up. It adds a lot to the sim.

Ahh, sorry, forgot the original point of my post! I was gonna say I just complete the rescuer mission again, and it let me get to the "On the other side" mission. So hopefully all should be well now.

Ahh, I get that mission problem all the time. I assume you are allowed to complete the mission using 'watch track' if you mess up right? I know I've definitely beaten a few that way, by using the reply and taking control before I die. I've had to complete some missions 5 times before it allows me to progress. What is the 100% complete condition? I always RTB and land, power down the heli and open the door before I finish now, just to be sure. - Still doesnt help :pilotfly:

Thank you! I added your file and replaced my original. Now I'm taken back to the rescuer mission. I just completed it, and I have to do it again - This happens a lot anyway. Any ideas?

I wanted to test out the editor, and I accidently saved over the current mission I am playing (over the other side). :music_whistling: Is there any way to get the mission back without re-installing the game? I'm on steam, so no CD.

Stop trying to tempt me to buy A10, I don't like flying planes! :) Nate--IRL--, your advice was perfect! Managed to take off from scratch on the Alert! mission, and what's more, I figured out how to put the search light on! I completed the mission before with no searchlight, the only way I could see the enemies was by following their tracers. Must say, I'm loving the game. Real feeling of satisfaction when you slaughter all the infintry near the start.

I've managed to complete a few more missions, now I'm wondering about how to take off at night. What is the easiest way to get cockpit lights on as quickly as possible from scractch? Is it possible to see the switches without using the keyboard, or do I have to do half the take-off procedure via keyboard shortcuts. I would assume I need to get the power systems up before the lighting works, but there's no way I can see any of the switches in the dark. Can I use a flashlight, or a cell phone to light things up?

I'm hitting the mission complete (100%). Surely there's nothing else after that?

Thanks for the reply Yurgon, I would have replied sooner, but forgot my password and had to reset it. The mission not finishing thing is strange, I managed to complete a couple now, but found I had to repeat the third mission. I wonder if this is a known bug? As far as editing the campaigns goes, if I wasn't working so much I'd probably be able to do it. I'm usually pretty good with that sort of thing. Thanks again for the reply, and the kind welcome.

Hi, I'm pretty new to the game (just got it in the steam sale). I was playing through the first campaign and on the first night mission I got to the end, got 100% complete, selected quit and then had to do it again. Completed it 3 more times (landed 2) and still the mission wouldnt complete. After that I restarted the campaign completely, and now the first mission won't finish either. Flew for 40 minutes, got to the end, 100% complete. Selected quit and when I went to the campaign screen it said I had a 50% success rate. Surely this means the first mission is complete? Why do I have to do it again? I also want to start each flight from scratch, at the moment it's starting me with engines running and ready to go. I want to do all that myself. Is there a way to change that? I hope you can understand my questions, amd a little frustrated with it right now. But love the game.
