Yeah, sorry to say but I watched maybe only 10 seconds of that video and it wasn't very impressive, to put it politely.

No but we did get the announcement about a new 3d model and a 6dof cockpit for the su27 didn't we?
-
I'd recommend you to lower MSAA quite a bit, at full HD you don't really need more than 4x anyway. Also, the "cockpit resolution" doesn't actually alter the cockpit res, it is the resolution of MFD's and shkval TV monitor in those aircrafts that have those. 512 are a good setting for that I reckon.

did he just say they are developing the FW190?

DCS: Me-262, now that's something I'd like to see, engine faults and all! :) -
That will go great together with the Butcherbird ;) or any other module for that matter. Nice stuff!

One thing that you will have to set your mind to is waiting, and I'm talking REAL waiting. Don't expect any WWII theatres any time soon. With regards to the Fw-190, who knows how far along development it is but I wouldn't bet on it being released any time soon either. On the other hand, sometimes ED announces stuff right before it's released almost so it's kind of a lottery, the thing you want the most be it theatre or plane might be yours if you have the winning ticket. The Mustang is a great module if you like WW2 birds, just wait until you try to land the thing, if you even get it off the ground in the first place that is. So, welcome to DCS and may the gods of patience be with you. BTW, be prepared to spend some time on each module that you may acquire before you will reap the fruit of steep learning curves but ones you do, boy will anything else -sim wise- look like a toy in comparison. The Mustang is -IMO- VERY easy to learn all the systems in -for obvious reasons- compared to let's say the A-10C or the Ka-50.

Welcome to the 21st century! Stockholm is littered with stations like this. We should have it modelled in the game if we have to eject.:)

Make that three.:)

Who said it was ED making the Mi-8 for example? It's up to third-party what they want to create. ED are making theF/A-18C (so it seems) and that's a real "crowd pleaser" if you will, not my cup of tea though. I'm so glad that there are third-party willing to model "obscure" aircraft that haven't been modelled with such a high fidelity of realism before. Also, again with the Mi-8, it will probably sell VERY well to our Russian DCS fan base and it's a pretty large fanbase at that. Bottom line is, everybody's happy because there is essentially something for everyone on that list.

Amen brother! and I will start walking to the fridge from my computer and get my own beer instead of having the missus do it for me.:drunk: That'll slow down the growth of my pot belly, a little.
-
Good to hear that, looking forward to that one.

Great stuff! I'll take two Mi-8's, one UH-1H, a MiG-21bis and an F-86F please. You may keep the rest. I don't like flying a computer simulated within an aircraft model on a COMPUTER. On another note, how many of those aircraft on that list will we see this year except the Huey and Fishbed? I bet one more. Listen, I love that we are getting new high-fidelity aircraft and I'm ever so grateful but at the current pace of output...thank lord Jebus that I'm not middle-aged yet. Anyway, future's looking bright for all of us simmers!:joystick:

Holy smokes ZoSo! That's pure awesome right there, just when you think Christmas is all but over another present drops in. Thanks a bunch man!

That's EXACTLY what I'm hankering for! Very nice! Does it come without national markings though?

That list made me go :surprise:. Awesome, just awesome ED! -
Thank you for the Mustang, what a lovely plane :)

Thanks for the heads up EvilBivol, I guess it's gonna be Q1 then like the MiG-21bis. That's gonna be cool and also a bit of a pain in the behind, 2 modules released within the same time-frame. Too much fun, too little time.:D:( I'll buy them both anyways. :D

Next DCS (Russian) Fixed Wing Aircraft Wish List
swe_badger replied to Milene's topic in DCS Core Wish List
I voted for the Su-22 Fitter ONLY because we will get the MiG-21bis soon so the MiG-23 can wait. :D -
Same here, wingman starts engine right after I request start-up engines, every time.
-
lol! ok, very kind of you. I have to go tend to my offspring now or my missus will kill me. Laters!
-
Wow! You're willing to make one? I'm not sure, I was just hoping to find anything that wasn't national/WWII. Well, if you want to make one then something like the following would be cool: or maybe this one: Without those national markings of course, I'm not sure what type of markings to use. Maybe some kind of logo somewhere on the fuselage like this one for example: Something mercenary esq. I'll take anything really. Thanks in advance!:)
-
Yes thanks aöready saw those, some nice skins there but I was actually looking for some non-historical, non-national markings modern camo type of skins. I'm making some fictional "mercenary" missions and WWII markings or any national markings for that matter doesn't quite fit in the scenario. I'd make some myself if I wasn't so creatively handicapped. Oh well, guess that stock VVS camo skin will do for now.

Sounds sweet to me, I'll be busy flying my brand new P-51D module until the patch is released.:)
-
Oh! In the downloads section? Can't seem to find it.
-
So bought the P-51 module last night and I'd like to download some fictional skins (modern camo or something similar) but I can't seem to find it anywhere. Does anyone where one might find some sweet looking non-historical skins? Cheers!
