Low RPM warning tone gone after update May 20th
WolfK33 replied to WolfK33's topic in Bugs and Problems
It seems the "klackKLACK"-Sound of using force trim is gone too, I can just hear the quiet clicking of the button on the stick. -
Hi, after applying the update from today, May 20th, there is no more Low RPM audio warning tone in the Huey, no matter where what the switch position is. Greets, Wolf

The Low RPM audio warning is gone since I just updated.

Last night was the first time I had my copilot and a gunner killed by enemy fire on hill 39, and I wished we could have an option to show a little blood. I was looking over to the left and thought "Hey, was that so boring you're taking a little nap ??"

Hi, it was different servers which I dont remember the names of, mostly playing "Huey Drop" and "Huey Training". Connection speed is set to adsl 256. The only thing I´ve modified is a line that levels my view angle in the Huey in some file. Crashes usually are a few seconds after getting into the cockpit, usually first time after connecting, the last time after getting a new chopper on an empty airport after having played ok for a while with lots of explosions or tracers. Ping of servers I´ve crashed from was sometimes 40-ish, sometimes like 170. At least here it´s only while playing around a bit so far, in realistic long lasting missions after a long flight really sounds demotivating...

Now that I feel secure enough with the Huey I wanted to start flying online a little, but pretty often the game crashes to desktop with "DCS doesn´t work anymore" I´m not sure where to put this, but since I had no problems flying with the stock DCS World Frogfoot before getting the Huey I´ll place it here. The last crash just now didn´t even generate a crash file, but before it did. As I can´t attach those files here maybe posting the contents helps ? # -------------- 20130518-153845 -------------- ˆÏ # C0000005 ACCESS_VIOLATION at E310D783 00:00000000 00000000 00000000 0000:00000000 E310D783 0046EDB0 0000:00000000 ?incrementCommandsRefs_@MissionCommandManager@@AEAAXAEBUMissionCommandMenu@@@Z()+33 E3114953 0046EF40 0000:00000000 ?getCommandMenuforGroup_@MissionCommandManager@@AEAAAEAUMissionCommandMenu@@W4wcCoalitionName@@I@Z()+113 E31149CA 0046EF90 0000:00000000 ?addCommandForGroup_@MissionCommandManager@@AEAA?AV?$list@V?$basic_string@DU?$char_traits@D@std@@V?$allocator@D@2@@std@@V?$allocator@V?$basic_string@DU?$char_traits@D@std@@V?$allocator@D@2@@std@@@ed@@@ed@@W4wcCoalitionName@@IAEBV23@AEBV?$basic_string@DU?$char_traits@D@std@@V?$allocator@D@2@@std@@I_N@Z()+3A E31151DC 0046F000 0000:00000000 ?netAddCommandForGroup@MissionCommandManager@@QEAAXW4wcCoalitionName@@IAEBV?$list@V?$basic_string@DU?$char_traits@D@std@@V?$allocator@D@2@@std@@V?$allocator@V?$basic_string@DU?$char_traits@D@std@@V?$allocator@D@2@@std@@@ed@@@ed@@AEBV?$basic_string@DU?$char_traits@D@std@@V?$allocator@D@2@@std@@I@Z()+3C E3111F54 0046F110 0000:00000000 ?addCommand_@MissionCommandManager@@AEAA?AV?$list@V?$basic_string@DU?$char_traits@D@std@@V?$allocator@D@2@@std@@V?$allocator@V?$basic_string@DU?$char_traits@D@std@@V?$allocator@D@2@@std@@@ed@@@ed@@AEBV23@AEBV?$basic_string@DU?$char_traits@D@std@@V?$allocator@D@2@@std@@I_N@Z()+3B4 E3B59D9D 0046F150 0000:00000000 ??1Reader@Mail@@UEAA@XZ()+23D DFF893CE 0046F1C0 0000:00000000 DFF89481 0046F210 0000:00000000 DFF837FE 0046F240 0000:00000000 DFFAC883 0046F270 0000:00000000 DFFC26A3 0046F2A0 0000:00000000 B094D1F5 0046F300 0000:00000000 B09638F4 0046F330 0000:00000000 B09637CB 0046F360 0000:00000000 B09F4488 0046F3D0 0000:00000000 B09F595E 0046F9D0 0000:00000000 B09F858F 0046FA80 0000:00000000 F6F0167E 0046FAB0 0000:00000000 BaseThreadInitThunk()+1A F73E3501 0046FB00 0000:00000000 RtlUserThreadStart()+21

Well, as I couldn´t finish mission 12 I flew 13, which went well, and after that mission 14 (through single missions as I couldn´t progress through the campaign) Mission 14 I couldn´t finish either. First, as much as I hated the placement of the first enemies, under that roof (had to turn on labels and land and point the miniguns straight at him from 10 meters away, and even then the sucker needed a 5 second burst :shocking: ) I loved the freedom I had. As I was already out of ammo after that first encounter with the bad guys I decided to fly to the airport and try get some ammo and repairs. And it worked, no message about mission failure for flying away, that was nice ! So, I fueled her up, got the bird repaired and nicely asked for some rockets :music_whistling: and back to the convoy. I managed to land Walker group on the roof (my first roof landing, yeah ! :joystick: ), they cleared the building and then found the weapons cache. The Hinds came in and put some rockets near the red smoke, I think they did two runs, and then, again, nothing more happened. I waited, I looked for Walker group with labels and landed near them, waited more, switched radio channels back and forth, but nothing happened... And I have all the campaign fixes that are for download here installed. Greets, Wolf

Hi Folks, I´m really having a blast with the campaign, very immersive, well done ! Today I was playing mission 12 and encountered a problem: I land near the three vehicles (first inspection, WP 4 I think), the troops get out, one of them walks to each car and at the last one, the army truck, he stops and just stands there, then nothing happens. I waited for 15 minutes, still nothing. Then I spooled down the engine, started it again after some minutes, took off, landed again in a different spot, still nothing. I tried the mission again then with the same results. I hope that I´m supposed to wait for them to finish their inspection and not leave them there and go on with my route ? Greetings, Wolf

Ah ok, thanks !

Was just playing this with one other pilot online a bit. Don't remember the name, some italian guy, maybe he's here too ? It was great fun, however I (client) couldn't get the music to work, in SP this was no problem. Great Mission, thanks for it !
-
Very nice ! This is my favorite so far, I use it now for "training flights" outside of missions when I just do some landings and stuff. Thank you ! Please ED/Belsimtek, as I wrote elsewhere we need a MASH-Object with red cross helipads, tents with red crosses etc, maybe as a FARP-"light" where you can get fuel and maybe repairs but no weapons or so...

Yep, that comes in pretty handy. I have mapped on/off, next page, previous page and mark position to a "spare" coolie hat on my stick.

Nice, really looking forward to this ! Being a paramedic I loved it when "back then" when we had to get someone flown out we got "SAR71" (Bundeswehr UH-1D) or after that "Christoph 29" (Ministry of the Interior Bell 212) instead of Christoph 19 or Christoph Hansa with their Bo105s. Nowadays they all use ECs. :( I still remember the first time I called in a chopper, some 14 or 15 years ago. I expected a Bo105 to come, but then there was that unmistakeble WHOPWHOPWHOP and a quick glance out of the window showed me SAR71 touching down on the narrow crossroads between the houses. I have to admit I was distracted from my patient for a split second :music_whistling: As it made no difference in ETA of the choopers we could get, my town is somewhat in the middle of their respective stations, I almost never radioed "Send me a chopper" but "Send me SAR71 (or CH29)" , lol. Sometimes it worked.

Retested it, found another problem, sorry :(
-
Shure thing ! I don't know s**t about triggers and flags and all that, but I of course can fly them and report if something went wrong like above. :joystick: I will fly every mission you make anyways :pilotfly:
-
Nothing to be sorry about. My fear was that you would say "That was supposed to happen, you should've waited a little longer" :smilewink: edit: great, will fly this again tomorrow !
-
What can I say except "Thank You!" for the umpteenth time, almost every day another great mission ! But, a problem occured: Aside from that, another great one ! And they keep getting better and better!

Don't know either, my best guess would be it's to remind downed pilots do get rid of their parachute so they don't get blown away by the downwash ? Nice skins btw, I really love the one with the white-outlined red crosses in the first post !

I just looked, driver 311.06 , probably should update that. PC is still as it came from the store with just Arma2, DCS and TrackIr-software installed... Thanks for the help, I´m gonna play around with those options when I have the time.

In that folder there´s autoupdate.log dcs.log dcs_frame.log debrief.log inputscript.log me.log net_server.log Mmh, great, I just bought the computer new, mainly for this sim, of course it has a card that doesn´t like DCS... So probably no UN-flying for me at night anymore...
-
Ummh, my bird is dry as James Bond´s Martinis, no fuel... :smilewink: edit: Tried again and for sitting around in a dry bird and picking my nose for 8 Minutes I was promoted to Major

Yesterday I started up campaign mission 8 (I think that´s it, where you defend the checkpoint that´s under attack at night) and had the same thing happen, but without the anti collision light. External view -> Boom, white screen, complete computer lockup. Retried several times with the same results. I´ve flown other missions at night time or dusk/dawn and all went well, it only happens in the campaign missions, so it really seems it has something to do with the white spanish UN skin and those times of day. I don´t say there´s something wrong with the skin, probably it´s something on my end, but nowadays I have no idea anymore about all that computer stuff unlike when I was young...;) Windows gave me some .dmp file it wants to automatically send in to look for the problem (no results), but it seems I can´t attach that here...

Very very nice, that´s the stuff I bought the Huey for. Just a tad short, I could do this the whole day ! Just kidding, I can´t imagine how much work that must be. Just one little thing, when landing, except at the airport, the "Cargo´s out" message came immediately, at the first LZ it seemed even before touchdown, maybe if it´s possible you could make it that unloading takes a little while ? I have not the slightest idea of mission making, so I don´t how how hard that would be to do. Again, thank´s a lot !
