Hey all, in the checklist we are supposed to press "any Day-Night button" to check the warning lights. Now, I´m a little stupid and have no idea what is meant by "Day-Night button", can you help me out here ? The next question is more a DCS-W one. I tried the first campaign mission and wondered if it is somehow possible to see the course/heading from each waypoint to the next one in the mission planner to write down a rough flightplan (like WP1 -> WP2 270° for 2 minutes @ 800km/h) instead of just guessing and using the position mark on the kneepad for fine-tuning ? Sounds great, looking forward to it ! Especially as I started to loose interest in the Sabre a bit due to the lack of missions.

Funny enough no performance problems so far on my, I guess "medium", system : i7-3770 3.4 GHz, 16GB RAM and a GTX 660 Ti Not measured, just "felt", everything is smooth in the two missions (startup and takeoff training) so far.

I have not ordered the Fishbed so far as my budget isn´t that high and because I have to admit that I don´t care for this bird (or russian ones altogether) very much, although it looks outstanding and I´m sure that the MiG-21Bis will set a new standard for DCS modules and flightsims in general. Nonetheless it´s great that the bird was made because variety to choose from is good and anything that brings new players to the game and funds to the developers is of course very welcome. If the next project is something I "like" I will of course get the MiG at then full price to support the Leatherneck folks ! And I´m sure I will then have good times trying to master it :joystick: , even If I´m not so keen for eastern planes. But hey, I will be there in my Sabre or Huey or Hog as of course all you Mig-Drivers will need someone you can blow out of the sky :D So, I wish all Mig-Pilots great fun with the new toy tomorrow and great success to the Leatherneck Simulations team !

Hi shyjonathan1588, I´m running DCS 1.2.10. The mission I got was "Sortie 728". The first try I wasn´t even able to start up the Hog in the hangar. I just tried again, the same mission, and this time it was still bad but I could get the bird up in the air. The flight then was ok, maybe a bit sluggish, but when I arrived on station at WP3 it got very bad again after a minute or two of orbiting, down to 1 fps or even lower. It´s a real pity as your campaign sounds exactly like what I´d love to play. Thanks a lot nonetheless for making it ! With EDGE around the corner maybe it will be better. Greets, Wolf

Thanks for the mission ! I even managed to down two Migs (ok, I used labels...) and get my bird home without a scratch even though I suck badly at A2A-combat. Even more than A2G... ;-)

Hi again, only a few hours later I think I can report this problem solved ! I spent the whole day searching the internet for this problem again and this time found several threads where people had a similar problem with this card in other games. I read that many 660 TI cards come from manufacturers slightly overclocked which could lead to such problems. So I downloaded according to a "tutorial" in such a thread a program called nvidia inspector which shows and lets you change all such stuff that is usually too much for me ;-) And yes, my gpu ran at 1006 instead of the 915 mHz that nvidia says, the memory at 3054 instead of 3004 mHz. I lowered both values to what nvidia writes, fired up a mission that always locked everything up half a second after pressing F2 and it worked ! I didn´t fly so far (not much fun with the arm in a cast...) but I could happily pan the external cam around and finally see my huey in the dark ! I hope it stays that way and that by lowering it´s now not too slow. Thanks all for your help ! :joystick::pilotfly:

By the way, this problem is still there. I have the newest drivers in the meantime, also trilinear optimization on/off made no difference. With the Huey and night missions when I go to external view I immediately get a black, yellow, white or some other color screen and have to do a computer reset. When staying in cockpit it lasts longer, sometimes I can even fly without the computer crashing. No DCS crash log... Hmm I guess it´s either save for a different card or daytime flying only... :-( edit: it´s not just the UN skin.

I got a question too and as I´m not sure where it should go I´ll just ask here: I can assign none of the new flare functions to my TM Warthog, neither the throttle nor the stick. It works fine for other devices like the TM MFD I have but in the Warthog´s column the fields for flare functions are greyed out. What could be wrong there ? I did delete the control assignment files after updating. Thank you, Wolf

Yeah great, 1.2.7 released and I´m grounded with my arm in a cast for a probably ruptured tendon. Not being able to fly is hard, but additionally knowing there´s a new version...aaaaargh...

Ok, I found out myself, thanks. Actually it´s pretty easy, at the very very very bottom left corner, "where noone has scrolled before" you can choose between english and russian.
