1. Nice, thanks !
2. Just looked, yep, same here.
3. Great, glad that I could help ! I think it has to do with the "system-stress" simulation of the Mig. Something like a power surge that kills the "light-bulbs" for the pipper and net when it is allready switched one before...
4. Do you maybe flip the switches in front before you flip those on the side panel ? I´ve done that before and couldn´t get the pipper and the net to work then. When I first get everything up and running on the right side then use the two switches on the hud last it works.
5. Either that or it was because we were flying in formation and so did a maneuver that made the parts detach shortly after one another.
6. Hi, as mentioned in the "DCS Mig-21 questions"-thread I sometimes experience a loud "Boom" and shuddering of the aircraft. User xxJohnXX investigated and it seems this is linked to a problem with the SPRD-99 JATO rockets. Please see this posting for Johns investigation and TacView file: http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=2203482&postcount=33 My track file with the "boom ´n shudder" at 06:42:45 is in this thread, it doesn´t let me attach it here again somehow... http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=2203471&postcount=32 Thanks, Wolf
7. Hi Jonathan, thank you ! Very interesting indeed ! Now that you mention it, it might indeed be possible that it only happens when using the Jato rockets, but I´m not 100% sure. Let´s say 99% sure. After the visual effects were fixed in the last patch I use them almost every time just for the fun of it and that was when I started noticing it. Yesterday when flying with my friend we took off anf flew in formation using jato and he had the "boom ´n shudder" a few seconds after me. Hoping that it´s ok with you I will link to your posting in a bug report for your great investigation and explanation !
8. I just did a quick flight to check this out, and the "boom" and "shudder" happened. Track is attached. I left the landing/taxi lights on on purpose, but they come off at about 9:42:00 without any sound. Then I do a "split s" and at 9:42:46 when leveling out there´s the bang. I watched the track once in F2 view and could hear it, but didn´t see anything... server-20141012-185939.trk
9. Hmm, might be, will give that a try, maybe I sometimes forget to retract them, although I have them on the pinky of my warthog throttle and have a good routine of turning them off right after retracting the flaps.
10. Yep, will do. I couldn´t provoke it to happen so far, it just sometimes happens and sometimes doesn´t. And when it happens it´s only once per flight.
11. Hey guys, sometimes when flying the Mig, usually only a few minutes after takeoff and while maneuvering I hear a loud "boom" like AAA exploding nearby (with no enemy units nearby) and the aircraft "shudders". After this I can´t find any damages in external view, instrument readings seem ok, the Mig flies all right and my external stores are all still there. What might that be ?
12. I tried it tonight, but it didn´t make a difference for me unfortunately.
13. Oops sorry, took a quick look through this forum section before posting and didn´t find it.
14. And another one we found while flying online tonight with Update 3: We were not able to load UB-16 or UB-32 when our aircraft´s task was set to CAP in ME. When selecting the single stations (already in the mission) the choice just wasn´t there, when selecting a predefined loadout in the refuel/reload window the rockets just were not loaded, the other weapons in the loadout were ok (incl. bombs). When changing the task to CAS in ME it worked. We were able to load UB-16 or UB-32 before when the task was set to CAP in the mission editor. Thanks, good night, Wolf
15. Another Bug my friend and me saw, or better heard tonight while flying together: We were flying in formation and as he got closer I suddenly thought we have an old warbird in our formation as the audio sounded like pretty loud propeller-plane sound, just like the Mustang or Dora, maybe a little distorted such. When spacing was increased the sound changed back to jet sound , when nearing it was prop-sound again. Tried this a few times back and forth during that flight, always the same. Maybe it had something to do with his plane being damaged and the nosecone missing, as we were flying in formation before and after with undamaged Migs and didn´t hear it. Oh, and it was like that on both PCs, his and mine. edit: It was with update 3, forgot to mention... Greetings, Wolf
16. Noticed this too tonight, it´s still there, but only on your own plane, I checked that with my friend. For me my canopy was still there and his in F2-view was gone and vice-versa. My friends Mig in my F2-View:
17. Hi, I was flying with a buddy tonight and we noticed a little Bug in in cockpit view: When the canopy is opened there is a little polygon floating outside the cockpit to the right side. When the canopy is closed it is gone. My buddy had it too. Greets, Wolf
18. Yep, will try too when I have the time to fly. What was the default value before this patch ? Just asking as I never "messed" with it and the stutters where introduced with this patch.
19. Hmm, I have never changed anything in that file before. I have to admit I don´t even know where I can find it, lol
20. Moin, der Autoupdater schaut nur einmal in 24h oder so nach, geh mal ins Startmenü -> "Eagle Dynamics" -> "DCS World" -> "Aktualisieren DCS World" Gruß, Wolf
21. After a reboot the "big" micropauses incl. stopping sound are gone, but overall in the Mig (didn´t check anything else so far after rebooting) it´s not as fluid as before. Never measured FPS before or after, but before all was just smooth, now it feels not necessarily like low FPS but like being fluid but with 10 small stutters per second. Hard to describe I hope y´all understand what I mean. Specs are i7-3770 3.4 GHz, 16GB RAM, GTX 660 Ti No unusual hdd activity to be seen. Unfortunately no more time to test tonight.
22. Hmm, I had no problems before, now with the release update 3 I´m getting weird micro-pauses every few seconds where the movement and the sound stops when flying the Mig. edit: I just checked, I have those micro-pauses in the other modules as well since updating. Weird and not nice. Never seen this before.
23. Yeah, nice to have all the info on one page, thanks !
24. The same way I remember it :smartass:
