I have all of my modules on Steam, so I was thinking I should wait. I don't know if I can :D

Is there going to be a Steam release? I have all of my modules on Steam, so I would rather get it there. Also, congratulations! It looks beautiful.
-
Better send him some batteries, the Serbian MiGs are apparently grounded. Well, at least it makes the waiting somewhat more bearable. It would drive me crazy to see those 21s roaring over my head while I wait.

Gazelle evacuation during floods in Bosnia.

Well, I was certainly looking forward to a campaign. I'm to lazy to create my own missions.
-
How about something guided manually, like Malutka for example? You can first figure out how to make it go where you want it to go, then do the whole guidance logic later.

Some people just like to tinker with things. I think the idea that we should somehow censor discussions and the transfer of knowledge on forums is ridiculous. People get university degrees that enable them to build all kinds of absolutely deadly stuff. I see no harm in a bunch of hobbyists talking about missiles. Its like when some IT forums prohibit "hacking" discussion, but they do it mostly because they don't want to get flooded with adolescents begging for scripts. This is not a problem here. Its just knowledge, guys.

Dolphin is an active MiG-21 pilot.

So, why don't you just tell us? My pike is sharp, and I'm ready to flip out.
-
Oh, sooner than I expected. Great news! Did you manage to implement GCI?
-
Beautiful, thanks.
-
Really? I know there were a lot of Frankensteinian abominations during the YU wars, Košava being my favorite, but this is news to me. Any pictures?
-
I don't care, all I heard was GROUND RADAR! :D Seriously now, using that is going to be so much fun. I need to finish with these exams and start reading the YU manual.
-
Ground radar conformed! Now their next jet will need to have this feature. It was promised by a moderator!
-
Blasphemy comrade.
-
Looking great! Whats up with the blob on the radar? Clutter?

Your MiGs are coming back, and you even bought more of them, 12 jets total. Not that bad. I don't that Serbian 21s are going to fly much longer, and I hope we are going to get something new soon. The last time I was at the airbase, I had the pleasure of climbing into a MiG-21 cockpit. Good think DCS: MiG-21 wasn't released at that time. The temptation to start flipping switches would have been too great, and they would need to drag me out.

Wow, awesome. I live in Batajnica, near the airbase, I love watching these guys fly. Camping out with binoculars is one of my favorite pastime activities. We need an open day this year, I loved everything in 2012. Besides programming, flying is the only thing I could picture myself doing. Its fascinating to see that somebody can manage both.

I'm glad to hear it. I have come to expect serious quality from DCS, and it just bugs me when I see people talking about it like its not a big deal. I'm confident you guys will deliver, and I hope it turns out well for you. More teams working on high fidelity sims, the better. Where is your pilot from? Not too many MiG-21s in active service left.

Are they really not full time developers? The "its done when its done" line can be used by people like BMS developers, who work for fun and release a product that is free. I don't think that Letherneck, or anybody involved with DCS wants to establish a reputation as a group of hobbyists doing this stuff in their free time. If I'm going to pay 40-50 euros for a sim module, I expect professionalism from the developers. Besides, no software is ever released without bugs, and the developers have an implicit obligation to fix them and support their product after the release, in a reasonable time frame. Anyway, these guys have been down on their luck, and I'm glad they decided to follow through with the module. I understand their reluctance to set a release date at this time, after all they went through, but I think that this should be done only under special circumstances, not as the preferred way of doing things, and certainly not be encouraged by the community.

A HMS is something I would find very useful in the A-10. A lot of times I acquire a target with the targeting pod, but I don't fly straight to it. A HMS would be a great help in keeping my eyes on the target at all times, and flying much more accurate maneuvers.

He is arguing that the diversity is not there.

Did not know that, it makes me want a fully modeled F-15C even more. How much of this is still classified? Am I correct in assuming that there is enough information to model the systems of the F-15C on a level similar to the DCS:A-10C?
