With my profile set at 10 seconds autolase and latch on I have found at 26K and below all is fine (within reason as I never go below 15k anyway) but if I go to 27K> it will always miss the target is this because the autolase needs to be set to 12 seconds or longer?

Hi Grimes, Do you mean like the tiltshift lens? If yes I would like to see your work ;) I have tried to do a few of them but they never look as good as when the use the real thing (Tiltshift lenses are well out of my price range). I can say one thing ...... my wallet is ready for Nevada!! Looking very good so far and good job to those involved!

I thought the same thing.....H%$X but with more scripting.

The DSMS can be swapped to either side just FYI. I think that is done via coolie switch forward (short) I think I am not at my desk so it might be long not short. BTW I don't mean to sound rude to you but the way you came across in your post to Eddie is a bit rude after all he did give you the answer just not what you wanted to hear. I think its the way you have said "thank you but frankly". We all spend a bit of time with this and its great you are sharing information as you have but not everyone has the time to type. Good write up. Much love Flesh

Well it might happen it might not and this is, as far as I can tell only for the boots on the ground at the moment and is not issued .....yet. I think it's quite interesting if you haven't seen it already: What sort of FOV that would give I don't know but hell it would be fun to use. Hotas Warthog : how to program friction
Fleshpiston replied to Joker73's topic in Controller Questions and Bugs
This ^ I also loaded whilst in DCS the warthog controller profile as on the axis page the slider was greyed out. Just to reiterate you do not need to use target or the script software. -
Didn't say there was anything wrong with it..... just the TM Warthog lends itself to the game perfectly. Works as it should outta the box. I was using a Logitech 3D force pro and for the life of me it just didn't "click" with the game. I think the fact that with any other joystick / throttle you have to remember what you assigned where, makes it that little bit trickier than if its where it is meant to be, as it is on the TM Warthog. Just more things to remember in an already noggin intensive sim.
-
If you have time you could send it back and get the TM Warthog... I would ;) I would add that it is also a good idea to print out either a sheet with your commands showing where on the controller you assigned them or labels that you can stick on your controller just until you hands memorize where things are.

Do I qualify as a mind reader now? These lads do prototype stuff but I think they might be more metal than wood ;) http://www.sertecprecision.com/ We have agents in San Diego but we do the electronics for CNC machines not quite what you are after.

I don't get this big rush for the next aircraft personally, as I still have two that I have to master first. -
Warthog Manuals In Kindle Format? (MOBI)
Fleshpiston replied to HitchHikingFlatlander's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
Kindles can read pdf not a problem. But when you use the Kindle app that's when issues occur. (Kindle app enables iphones ipads PC's and othe non-kindle devices to be able to read Kindle formats). -
Warthog Manuals In Kindle Format? (MOBI)
Fleshpiston replied to HitchHikingFlatlander's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
See the problem is that PDF -> anything will normally cause the format to go mental. I have many of the conversion packages and I use Adobe Pro. To output the files needed to create a conversion and keep the original format I so far can only reliably do this with Adobe outputting to jpegs then recreating the PDF with them. Then using that file (pdf) to convert to .prc / .mobi either of which can be used as a Kindle format. That is why they display as a flat image and not text base. I have tried interlacing the text with the images but they go nuts and it shifts the whole text block off to the moon. I could always rebuild the whole thing but that would take quite a bit of time when the original is ready to go. It is worth remembering that the manual as is, is not a final version. Saying that it is serving as good practise to do this for the very end result. -
Rock and a hard place. What mission are you on or is this one you have created?

Well I have already formatted it for kindle and it is ready to go but it is 32mb (when .rar) file and I can't attach it here. I can if you need also do it in other formats if needed. I just checked it on my Kindle for PC and it is all correct. We need a way of posting it here. Doing it in 8mb parts = 4 .rars Uploading now. (Can do the same again for the final manual) ;) Also Kindle file format is .prc EDIT: Came up with some error about token summinc or other.

Warthog Manuals In Kindle Format? (MOBI)
Fleshpiston replied to HitchHikingFlatlander's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
Ahhhh ..... so you are using the Kindle app on the i(insert thing here). I don't own any of those "i"things so I couldn't tell you but surely reading a PDF on one of those would be better than converting it to Kindle format for no reason? I had no idea iphones couldn't read PDF's...... another reason for me not to get one. Anyhoo get a Kindle that I would recommend. BTW I think I have nailed the conversion and have it down to 31mb (much smaller than the original but still good quality) but its still too big to post here (snigger). -
